    I love my HC68, one of the reasons is the head band is so comfortable, I barely feel it on my head the bands are so soft!

    Nicely presented!! The red light is very beneficial for early access to your deer stand during hunting season where deer cannot see red. It’s also great for salt water surf fishing where red helps you land your fish, change tackle, work with your bait, where white light would frighten the fish 🐠 away !

    Outer Limitless, This is definitely a Headlamp that I would utilize for Camping, Riding My Bicycle) after dark. I’m going to look into getting one for me and one for each of my Family. Holy that might be spending a lot of money.

    Thanks for the review. I was expecting this will (at least) match the runtime performance of Fenix HM65R-T, given they both have a 3500 maH battery..but lookslike it similar to Nitecore HC65 v2. Still behind the Fenix where the Mid mode is at 400 lumens for 8 hrs (the HC68's mid is 250 lumens for 6.5 hrs).

      Would you pick the fenix over this? Reason why I'm asking is I have several fenix lights and just ordered the hm70r but thought about getting this one. I don't really hear good things as far as quality and customer service from nitecore and do you know if nitecore lights let you use pretty much any kind of battery like fenix. What I'm talking about is if you have a fenix light that uses 21700 it will take other brand batteries and with a $5 fenix adapter you can use 18650 or two cr123 batteries in a 21700 light.

      @@JohnnyRebLa Nitecore all the way. I had a issue with them sending the wrong headlamp , I ordered the normal one and they sent me the helmet mounted one by accident. I contacted support and they fixed it quickly and gave me a 10% discount because of the issue.
      You can use any 18650 in the headlamp as long as it can dish out enough amps that are required. I have 8+ batteries when I go camping and I cycle them out when they start to get low. You can tell its almost out of power when it switches down brightness and does not allow you to turn it back up.

    Wish they'd come up with a headlamp that would handle the 21700(i) cell.

    Is there any real advantage to having the flood setting? The spot setting seems to have plenty of side spill. In the video when he transitioned from spot to flood, it did not seem to improve the lighting to the sides much.

    • @outerlimitless
      @outerlimitless  2 роки тому

      It's two things. Yes it makes a difference in the beam pattern... it removes the hot spot from the middle and evenly distributes the light. It's great for working around camp and general hiking. And beyond that... you can feather the mix to optimize your view which is what is the best part.
      The and second part is that you can effectively run the light on lower settings which allows conservation of the battery. Might not be critical to you but I'll tell ya... I'm not too keen on running out.

    • @hammockcamping2500
      @hammockcamping2500 2 роки тому

      @@outerlimitless that makes sense - I think I was looking at the side spill when you were at the highest spot setting.

    • @ghostbond1074
      @ghostbond1074 2 роки тому +1

      I own this light, you're right. The "spot" has very smooth and well done side spill. The "flood" I never use because the spot mode largely works better for everything.
      The video calling it "tightening it down" is innaccurate.

      @@outerlimitless Have you checked out the Nitecore NU43 ?, it weighs 116g & can do 600L for 10hrs, 300L for 15hrs, 100L for 29hrs, 1400L turbo for 30s. Plus can run with USB-C connection. It can basically run at high for all night at 600 Lumens.

    si bien está bien construída me decepcionó la potencia de la luz y el alcance de la misma. La utilizo para pescar en la costa y la que he venido usando ni tiene marca, s genérica y tiene más potencia y alcance y con una posibilidad de zoom manual muy útil y además me costó sólo 15 dólares contra la nitecore que gaste 100 dólares más el flete hasta mi país. Mi vieja linterna viene durando unos 6 años aunque tuve un problema con el interruptor que tuve que repararlo en forma casera. Si bien la HC68 es relativamente liviana, el hecho que lleva la batería en la parte frontal, la hace sentir más pesada que las linternas que llevan las baterías en la parte trasera. No la volvería a comprar, muy costosa en relación a su prestación. Una de las posiciones de uso es ultra-low que no sirve para nada.
    El sistema de la banda elástica para ajustar a la cabeza es algo complicado para el ajuste correcto.
    La compra directamente en la fábrica fue rápida y sencilla con respuesta rápida.
    While it is well built I was disappointed in the power of the light and the range of the light. I use it for fishing on the coast and the one I have been using does not even have a brand, it is generic and has more power and range and with a very useful manual zoom possibility and it cost me only 15 dollars against the Nitecore which cost me 100 dollars plus the freight to my country. My old flashlight has lasted about 6 years although I had a problem with the switch that I had to repair at home. While the HC68 is relatively light, the fact that it has the battery in the front makes it feel heavier than flashlights that have the batteries in the back. I would not buy it again, very expensive relative to its performance. One of the positions of use is ultra-low which is useless.
    The elastic headband system is a bit tricky to adjust to the head for proper fit.
    The purchase directly from the factory was quick and easy with quick response.

    That’s diesel I’m looking at the array model by olight 600 lumens not that 2000 lumens yikes yikes that a bright headlight and small just received my iron will crossbow braodheads 100 % A2 steel heads not cheap at $109 for three braodheads not including shipping I have cheaper ones that will do the job but want to fill my case that fits 12 braodheads with tool steel heads like A2 S7 and some other tool steel heads than 3 grizzly sticks in 440c so at least one of my arrow sets will be stainless turkey season this month but u can only hunt for two weeks from 6am to noon what can ya do probably just hang in the woods with nothing to show for it besides nature and friends one day I’d like a male deer with giant horns so I can hang it in your bedroom the wife will love it back to the light big fan my friend can I have it. Very cool bra.

      @@outerlimitless looked at the artisan bull skulls those are diesel I mostly go for turkeys white tail deee which can get some decent horns on them if u get lucky and actually squirrels they are easy with my .22 caliber air gun with cylinders that old 12 shots and a can shoot over 100 rounds without having to pump it back up really like it very strong traded my $500 crossbow for it cause I got a $2000 Ravin crossbow with a lighted lighted scope and a crank system to pull the string back because by hands it’s over 400 pounds by hand which I couldn’t and wouldn’t do plus the crank system is built into the crossbow with a place where the hand crank snaps into the crossbow it also holds 3 arrows that snap into the bow and not of it gets in the way while shooting I might get some dampness for the bows arms and definitely want a sling sucks carrying it in your hands it’s about 4 pounds but with the gear it uncomfortable shoots an arrow 400 ft per second that’s like a football field in just over a second it’s vicious

    POS headlight. Way too complicated and glitzy. Great to fiddle with while you're sitting in your living room but way to complicated to deal with when you're panicked, and cold trying to find the way back to your truck. POS.
