Meal preps were awesome again. Best cinematics work you have done yet !!!...kept getting an Olympic Peninsula vibe but with stunted trees ! so tranquil
Always great to see your videos. I enjoy watching your cooking skills. Definitely a class above ordinary. My meals are very primitive in comparison. Best wishes.
What a morning on the water in the beginning the water was like glass. That meal looked great, I find as it cools in the fall mosquitoes usually dissappear but when you put up a tent it warms the ground and spiders 🕷 like it lol. Agree nothing like a relaxing day at camp especially by a lake. French toast strips great idea , pumpkin spice added now that sounds delicious. Definitely a good knot and definitely secure but I prefer to keep mine simpler to untie lol. Remember with fishing its fishing not catching so don't put pressure on yourself just enjoy doing it sometimes you get fish and sometimes you just fish. Great video and I hope you have an awesome day
Omg ! 😮 if it wasn't the dumplings then (omg again 😮 lol) the French toast strips with bacon!!! Then the beef Stroganoff. All paired with that beautiful face & what looked like a lake & forest of utter paradise & peace. 👍 Honestly, your vids take me to another dimension that I don't want to wake up from lol.
Hi Woodsy, thank you for sharing part 2 with us. What an amazing trip you had. I don't think you are clueless, but like the rest of us when we learned about being in the outdoors. As far as what others are saying on here, I feel that your honesty about things you don't know and showing us your triumphs as well as your trials and tribulations such as the mud portage part lets me know you are out there doing this and sharing all of it, not staging it for show. We all started somewhere and some of your learning experiences brings back memories of various times I was out there learning in the wild like you did. But dear God did you eat well on your trip as you do on just about every trip I have watched so far. I wish I was half the camp cook you are, amazing meals, even the beef stroganoff. And the vistas on that lake were well worth your efforts and I thank you for showing us all that you were seeing out there. It was truly beautiful. The fall colors while you were out paddling were truly spectacular. Can't wait to see your next adventure takes you! Cheers!
Thank you for coming to watch the rest ☺️ Aww I really appreciate that. I would love to have all the skills right now but I’m also ok with being in the beginning of the journey. Haha I do love to cook and eat on these trips…makes it that much more fun. And omg Ontario is stunning…the views on this trip were unbelievable. I cannot wait to go back. Seriously though…thank you for all of the positivity and support so far ☺️☺️☺️
No one backcountry cooks like Woodsy. Seriously, I've seen cooking shows with meals that Don't look half as appetizing! This whole video looks like a painting -- wild, serene, and sexy. 🤩
I like how you actually bring all your cooking stuff and make awesome meals! I see these other guys always eating tuna out of their little pouches, but I guess they have a lot of ground to cover hiking and its less weight. But I prefer how you do it for sure! Im also amazed that there is no one around! You totally have the forest to yourself! God bless, be safe ok.
The meals are exquisite. I’d take you along on any extended canoe trip. 😋😋👍👍 You could do several vids just on your dehydrating process. 😊 you’re filming and editing is first rate. 👍
You are so funny - “If you follow my lead, I guarantee that you will catch fish at least once in every six trips” 😂❤️ I love the cozy fall “touches” like the warm spices in the coffee creamer and pumpkin spice french toast strips. You empower women through your videos, and allow others who may not have the courage (yet anyway!) or the means to be able to experience the exceptional beauty and peace of these places. Thank you!!
I enjoy your videos. I've been tripping for many years and I say there is no right or wrong way to backcountry camp, as long as you do it safely and leave no trace...which you do. Looking forward to the next one.
So happy to see you camping and loving another beautiful place 😊 I’m old enough to start working on retirement and camping all my life but I still have a lot to learn about camping - there’s always something new to learn from someone and we are all learning some mighty fine cooking ideas from you
You start a mean fire and cook some awesome meals!! Love your humor on knot tying and fish lures. Definitely a great camp site. As long as you are enjoying your trips , keep being you. ❤
Woodsy, that satire segment reminds me of a SNL skit🤣🤣🤣.., certain that many others enjoyed it too. That was genius - don’t know how you kept a straight face through it all. More time on the water will provide you with the knowledge and ability to “read the water”, thus you’ll learn where to find fish, and which lures/baits to use. Stick with it, it actually happens sooner then you would ever expect.
I think you are a naturally talented, intelligent outdoor person. You are definitely a great campfire cook. All your adventures have been awesome to watch.
Thanks for sharing your outdoor adventures, I enjoy the quiet moments of just the site's and sounds of the natural environment .....very relaxing to us that share your passion of the natural environments especially when we're alone with our thoughts
Again, I love watching you go hard on the canoe. Your determination to make it work is attractive, refreshing, inspiring… “The struggle is real” whatever that struggle may be.👍🏾💪🏾
Good morning. Those rubber rings on your kayak paddle will make the water drip off your paddle before it reaches your hands if you place them a little bit outboard of your hands. This will make your trip more enjoyable as the weather gets colder.
I'm glad you finally were able to canoe the rugged beauty of Ontario. It is a place where your struggles are rewarded with serenity and awe. Your videos just keep getting better and better. Good job, and thanks for all your hard work
Neither guru and certainly not clueless,,, you're doing it, and doing it well. You surely do cook better meals than I do. And for the record,, I gave up on fishing long ago. Cain't seem to catcher no dang fishies. The fish are perfectly safe from me. You are knot kidding. Thanks for the humour.
"It works really, really well, but it's never worked for me"..... that was really funny. Smooth delivery. You're cooking more elaborate meals over a campfire than I'm capable of in my kitchen. Great vid. Gorgeous view.
You're genuine, not satire. I really enjoy your vids. You'll catch a fish at some point. If not use a bobber and turn a few logs over for a worm or use a cricket or grasshopper. I was really sitting on the edge of my seat hoping you would get the canoe out of the mud and was excited you did. Have a great week.
Thank you, I’m happy to hear that ☺️ I probably would have had better luck with live bait. So many places don’t allow it! I think I could have used it here. Should have. That mud was intense! There and back. Hope you have a good week too ☺️☺️
WINNER! Driest sense of humor in the whole wilderness. Love it! Stay dry. After watching Cardinals devour my Bears (not the ones YOU see, talkin Pro Football), I needed this BADLY. Wonder what makes you let out a loud gaffaw, lol. So mellow. These are the best things on youtube. Keep on canoeing. P.S. Send one of these videos to Gordon Ramsay -- bet he'd love it!
Thank you so much for the awesome video. I couldn't stop laughing when you managed to replicate one of my favorite knots. You must have had a lot of fun filming this. Keep pushing yourself and enjoy the failures and successes and bring us along with you.
Lol I assure you, you’re not missing much. Fishing is hard to learn, but very rewarding. Best way I can think of describing it is, it’s like putting together a puzzle without the picture on the box. Unlike something like hunting, where you’re tracking or stalking an animal based off of “clues” it’s left behind, fish don’t offer that many clues to us. You can use the clues from nature……the temperature of the water, the overcast, if it about to rain, even if there was a full moon. But actual clues and hints from the fish are few and far between. Sorry for writing you a novel of a comment lol. But stay encouraged and just keep educating yourself on habits of fish and I promise you’ll be a guru in no time.
I love your videos so much. Beautiful you, beautiful nature, your tips and tricks and how you make delicious dinner on the fire. A wonderful video to my morning coffee here in Sweden
You’re coming along on the fishing. Its like anything else the more you do it the more experience you get which teaches you what to do and when to do it. I’m a seasoned fishing nut and still get skunked. As my dad used to say we took our limit of fresh air and awesome sunsets..
I love following you as you solve your challenges. Your knowledge grows with every trip. The only problem I have watching your videos is I become very hungry watching you cook those great camp meals!
I think the big tick was a stink bug 😊 I love the views in UP. Thank you for sharing your wonderful trips !!!! You are an inspiration to not take my lazy buddy. 😂😂
Another great video!! I always love to see a new one pop up. I’m also from Michigan so I love to see “local” destinations. And those meals - chef’s kiss!!
Hi! People see with different eyes, and sometimes it feels like we can never win, right? You are very resourceful in all aspects. You, even dehydrate your food for camping. I'm very impressed with you. Regardless of what people comment, what's really important is that you are safe, healthy, and enjoying yourself. Everything else is manageable and distractions! Thank you for sharing your time, thoughts, and experiences. Pops
@Apeaceofthewoods It was my pleasure! I look forward to your next video. Sometimes, of these days, I might get out of my cave and see the sun again. Pops
Omg!!! Your camp chef game is getting stronger!!! Food looks amazing!! I’m totally enjoying watching your camping cooking and camera skills progressing. 😊
Thank you!!! Not burning up as many things as I was in the beginning that’s for sure 😂 so happy you notice the filming progress. That has been a challenge!
I think most of think your channel is just an elite level camp cooking, i know i do. The satire knots are gold 😂😂 When it comes to fishing it is 70% know your environment 10% determination not to fail and 20% gear. Knowing when to fish and what the bottom of the lake looks like is better than any lure in the box. That 10% determination is really having a good idea of what type of fish are in the lake. If i had to spitball a guess. Rocky shoreline mucky spots and more silt than weeds. If there is a deep spot there is pike down there. 50 to 70 feet of high test line and the most shiny spoon you got and you could be in for a 10 minute fight to pull that monster up.
Haha I appreciate that ☺️☺️ lol. I’ve been focused 100% on the gear and that’s it. The water wasn’t very deep where I was fishing, it was too windy to get into deeper water. Do you think that could also be why I didn’t catch anything? I thought maybe there would be bass around those logs but maybe not
@Apeaceofthewoods bass like the logs but need the weeds to spawn so if there is bass in there they are most likely small. Which in turn make good feeders for the more carnivous fish. The wind usually in my experience isn't much of a factor. It's really the temperature of the water. Like it's good to fish for some in the morning, that has more to do with the water just starting to warm up. Or it's best to fish in the evening as the water starts to cool down. Pike and muskee like cold water so they stay deep during the day and hunt when the surface water cools down and smaller fish like warm water so early morning through the afternoon depending on the time of year. Small fish hunt the bugs in the morning while big fish hunt the little fish in the evening. Then there is a difference is spawn rates for rock, sand, sand with weeds, and a muck bottom. You don't have to know everything just become an expert to the lakes that you frequent.
Great Video Beautiful Woodsy, Thanks for Sharing. The area Looks nice and Peaceful, and the Food look absolutely Delicious. And I love Fishing 🎣. Looking forward to your next Adventure. 🙌🌹🌹💖
French toast and bacon! Perfect choice!!! Having grown up in the hills around the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee, at some point we all have to "figure it out". Love the beautiful scenery. Appreciate your honesty and humor. I support you 100% Love your adventures!!
Another great trip. I'm always blown away by how good your meals turn out. You eat better than some people do at home! The mud/quicksand was scary stuff.
We (my daughter and I) thought the knot was tying was hysterical ! I live on Lake Erie the shallowist and warmest of the Great Lakes . When I lived in Seattle I was fishing with a friend on Lake Cavanaugh , it was Fathers Day 1988 and we were catching tons of fish but weren't keeping any . Two weeks later another friend and I went there and didn't bring much food thinking we would eat fish all week . Damn , we were hungry ! Only caught a few ! Just thought I would share those things with you and your viewers . Keep up the good work , be patient and your subscriber numbers will increase !
😂😂 I’m happy you to hear that. Love that you’re also a transplant from Seattle. Also love that you can relate to the challenges of fishing. Although I would have been happy with a few….or one for that matter! Thank you so much ☺️ I really appreciate the encouragement
What a beautiful campsite ! You really know how to pick them ! I have seen conditions on a frozen lake where the fish hit empty hooks! I believe it was over population and no food source. Thanks for another great video !Take care of yourself !
Definitely was a gorgeous campsite! I got lucky with this one. Not so lucky with the fishing though. I need to find a lake like that! Thank you, you as well ☺️☺️
ah man watching your videos makes me want to pack up everything and just drive out, unfortunately i got sick and im stuck been home. thank you for bringing us along for the trip
@Apeaceofthewoods lol, it's nothing crazy I just have the flu. But sometimes it can get a bit out off hand if I don't take care, I'd rather take a bit of extra precaution.
Really enjoyed the video; looks like you found an absolutely beautiful pristine location to camp...those are the spots that really bring true rest to ones soul. And dont worry, you'll be catching lots of fish soon; as long as you keep at it. Those clear northern lakes can be tricky; fish tend to go deep or relate tightly to cover during the day. Ive had very good luck right at sunrise/ an hour or so after daybreak, and right before sunset. Sometimes these lower light conditions really turn them on and you'll be confronted with a feeding frenzy! Regardless of whether you caught fish or not, looked like you had a very enjoyable adventurous trip with lots of great tasting food; and thats what its all about!
Yes it was! So much so that I can’t wait to go back. I’m happy you believe in me lol. I hope you’re right. I’m going to keep at it. That’s a really good call…I was fishing right in the middle of the afternoon and what you’re saying makes sense. I did have such a great trip regardless ☺️☺️
Ms. Woodsy, I enjoy watching you exploring, camping series. Your camp fire cooking , is super , bet it great flavor ! Hope you picked up Army duck down sleeping bag, can't bet them for very cold temperature overnight camping! Be safe ! You are one of a kind ! Lone Bear !
Fishing lakes without any actual fish in them is a common rookie mistake. Heck, even us veterans do it sometimes! 😂. That was too funny. Also, I need to remember not to watch your videos on an empty stomach because your meals look amazing
I was so glad to see Part 2 drop today. I go to Minnesota fishing in the fall about every year. You are probably finding out what I have had to deal with for years. The wind blows hard every day mostly in the afternoon.
The "actual satire" portion was hilarious ...especially the knot!!
Keep going, you're awesome!!!
She's might just be the most humble Miss.modelo.DIGITAL and heartwarming person to exist💜
Meal preps were awesome again. Best cinematics work you have done yet !!!...kept getting an Olympic Peninsula vibe but with stunted trees ! so tranquil

Thanks for the upload. Beautiful forest.
Enjoyed your video, especially the satire section. Great knot by the way! See you in the next one.
Nice adventure! You're developing quite an inventory of amazing stories. Thanks for sharing!!
"i guarantee you're gonna catch fish once in every six trips"😂😂😂
God bless you Woodsy that made me cry laughing!
😂😂☺️☺️ well I’m happy you got a laugh out of it
It also made me laugh out loud, don't worry it was cute
Always great to see your videos. I enjoy watching your cooking skills. Definitely a class above ordinary. My meals are very primitive in comparison. Best wishes.

What a beautiful escape! Treeby Lake seems like the perfect place for some soul-searching and relaxation amidst those gorgeous autumn colors!

You could do several vids just on your dehydrating process. 😊 you’re filming and editing is first rate. 👍
That little bug was indeed a tick...which is why I let you do my camping for me. Love it...🎸

Love your video's, makes me want to plan a fishing trip to Ontario again!
Great video! You have stellar fishing and knot tieing skills 👌 Very funny!

I enjoyed watching the meal preparation, lake footage, and your fishing adventures. Thanks for another canoe camping experience.
Sunday night entertainment. All I needed
Absolutely breathtaking views!
The cinematography is absolutely stunning!
"It works really, really well, but it's never worked for me"..... that was really funny. Smooth delivery. You're cooking more elaborate meals over a campfire than I'm capable of in my kitchen. Great vid. Gorgeous view.
😂😂 Haha thank you. The views were beautiful in Canada. I will definitely be going back ☺️
You're genuine, not satire. I really enjoy your vids.
You'll catch a fish at some point. If not use a bobber and turn a few logs over for a worm or use a cricket or grasshopper.

Fantastic looking breakfast. A+ for presentation!
As a past volunteer firefighter, you slayed the knots at 12:15. Tears running down my cheeks!
😂😂😂 glad you think so
You’re doing great! Just keep going out and you’ll keep getting better at it
Thank you so much for the awesome video. I couldn't stop laughing when you managed to replicate one of my favorite knots. You must have had a lot of fun filming this. Keep pushing yourself and enjoy the failures and successes and bring us along with you.
My favorite camping gal 😊. Glad you got to enjoy a beautiful campsite. Don’t give up on your fishing expeditions. You’re gonna get it I promise.
☺️☺️☺️ thank you. Not giving up. But I’ve got to be missing something! I appreciate the encouragement

I love your videos so much. Beautiful you, beautiful nature, your tips and tricks and how you make delicious dinner on the fire. A wonderful video to my morning coffee here in Sweden
Lovely, as per usual. Please keep making more videos, I love every single one of them!
Great adventure Woodsy alone out there in the wilds by yourself I salute you queen… looking forward to more of your solo adventures.
Thanks yet again for another thoroughly enjoyable video. That knot though - whewwww! 😊
Part 2 has arrived. A nice end to the weekend watching your travels.
Aww well thank you for spending time on your weekend to watch ☺️
You’re coming along on the fishing. Its like anything else the more you do it the more experience you get which teaches you what to do and when to do it. I’m a seasoned fishing nut and still get skunked. As my dad used to say we took our limit of fresh air and awesome sunsets..
Wow, it was so picturesque out there. Even though I'm home in my warm bed, I felt like I was there. Autumn in Michigan is spectacular, those trees.
This area was stunning! I was in Canada this trip but not too different than the trees here in Michigan. I absolutely love fall ☺️☺️
I love following you as you solve your challenges. Your knowledge grows with every trip. The only problem I have watching your videos is I become very hungry watching you cook those great camp meals!
Haha well thank you so much. I definitely appreciate you watching ☺️
I love your amazing food and humor in this video. I really enjoyed the video.❤🙏
So great to live by vicariously through your adventures. Your dinner looked delicious, and I loved seeing the full moon. Thanks for sharing.
Aww makes me so happy that you enjoy watching ☺️ Thank you!! The moon was so bright!
You have really come a long way! Very proud for you. Can't believe you can eat all that wonderful food. Keep the post coming.
I’m happy you think so, thank you ☺️☺️ haha will do!
That French toast looked like it slapped 🤤🔥🔥🔥
I think that was the best meal of the trip!
Nice peaceful location and video. Sure need it these days.
I think the big tick was a stink bug 😊
I love the views in UP. Thank you for sharing your wonderful trips !!!! You are an inspiration to not take my lazy buddy. 😂😂
Haha I certainly hope it was a stink bug! When I zoomed in it looked like a tick. 😂😂😂 literally laughing out loud at that. Thank you!!!
People truly don’t know how hard it is to fish but it’s also very relaxing
You two are amazing, I'm so glad AJ is recovering well. ❤️
Another lovely video. Glad you had some nice weather. I love the meals you prepare, delicious 😋. Keep having fun take care and God Bless you.🫶

Yes! But thank you so much and I completely agree. Thank you for sharing YOUR time and coming along ☺️☺️☺️

Thank you so much ☺️ I don’t know if I love fishing yet…lol. I’m sure I’ll get there though haha. Appreciate it ☺️
French toast and bacon! Perfect choice!!! Having grown up in the hills around the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee, at some point we all have to "figure it out". Love the beautiful scenery. Appreciate your honesty and humor. I support you 100% Love your adventures!!
Aww I really appreciate your support ☺️☺️☺️ thank you. And you are right, we all do!
what beautiful landscape. you chose a awesome camp.
So peaceful there always , it did look like a tick on or in your tent and thank you for sharing your adventures ❤️🙏
I thought so too! I didn’t find anything on me thank goodness. Some have said it was a stink bug. Thank you so much for coming along ☺️☺️☺️
Another great trip. I'm always blown away by how good your meals turn out. You eat better than some people do at home! The mud/quicksand was scary stuff.
Haha thank you ☺️ Yes it was, but im happy I got through it ok!
BRAVE ❤ HONEST ❤ FEARLESS ❤
Lmao! Too funny. Another good one. Keep it going. -Mike from Ontario.
Thank you ☺️☺️☺️ haha will do
What a beautiful campsite !
Thank you, you as well ☺️☺️
Don’t worry about what other people think, it doesn’t matter. Enjoy your time outside.
You’re 💯
Canada is beautiful in nature !!! 😊
I agree!
Awesome day when I see your videos pop up. Stay safe and warm out there.
Aww thank you. I will for sure. You do the same ☺️
ah man watching your videos makes me want to pack up everything and just drive out, unfortunately i got sick and im stuck been home. thank you for bringing us along for the trip
I’m so sorry to hear that. I’m not sure what kind of sickness you’re dealing with but I hope that you recover soon 🙏🙏❤️. Thank you for coming along
@Apeaceofthewoods lol, it's nothing crazy I just have the flu. But sometimes it can get a bit out off hand if I don't take care, I'd rather take a bit of extra precaution.
Woodsy for White House Chef 2024! You’ve got my vote!
😂😂😂 chicken and dumplings for the president
Your camping cooking skills, always have my attention.
@@johnny30806 Haha thank you! No steak and taters this time but still pretty good
@ 😁👍
Glad I had dinner before watching, well done video!!
😂😂 thank you!! ☺️
10:42 I enjoy your videos as they are. Thank you for posting
I appreciate that! Thank you for watching ☺️
Makes me want to go camping immediately
Haha you should! ☺️
You're my guru ❤❤ i learn a lot from you❤❤❤ so outgoing love you
Aww really? Well makes me happy somebody is learning something 😂 thank you ☺️☺️
Ms. Woodsy, I enjoy watching you exploring, camping series. Your camp fire cooking , is super , bet it great flavor ! Hope you picked up Army duck down sleeping bag, can't bet them for very cold temperature overnight camping! Be safe ! You are one of a kind ! Lone Bear !
That is a nice looking cooking pot 🍲🍲🍲🍲 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fishing lakes without any actual fish in them is a common rookie mistake. Heck, even us veterans do it sometimes! 😂. That was too funny. Also, I need to remember not to watch your videos on an empty stomach because your meals look amazing
Beautiful, so peaceful
☺️☺️☺️
@ the vibe is there all day ❤️😎
I was so glad to see Part 2 drop today. I go to Minnesota fishing in the fall about every year. You are probably finding out what I have had to deal with for years. The wind blows hard every day mostly in the afternoon.
Haha yes!! And it can definitely put a damper on things as I intended on doing a full
Loop around the lakes. I couldn’t with all of the wind!
