Most international listeners aren't aware that Ektomorf formed in 1993. Until 2000, they had releases only with Hungarian lyrics, which are much better in my unbiased opinion, they were more diverse musically, what they played was pretty much a mix of thrash, groove and hardcore, with some songs having a length and a fierceness of powerviolence music. Their lyrics used to be much more unique too. So they are basically a very different thing from Soulfly / Sepultura.
imo I hardly liked anything from the hungarian albums, and I didn't think they sounded much different to how they are from destroy onwards, I just thought the ideas sounded way better from that point on. It sounded like they just recorded whatever they happen to come up with whether it was that good or not.
@@Limemill EKtomorf's prime, and the only album that are relevant are, destroy, instinct and outcast. That's true Ektomorf and them at their best. After that, just keep listening to albums in order, but they aren't necessary, or truly sound like them in their groove metal prime.
