Thank you for literally pulling me out of a deep addiction and giving me hope 9 years ago.. Your song saved my life. I just listened to it again with 6 years clean and a warm safe home for the fist time forever. I love you guys
Victory Records golden era in my opinion. Comeback Kid is such a great group too though and it warms my heart to see people still jamming their tunes to this day 🤘🤘

too bad they were such pieces of shit to the bands they signed.
I was at a point in 2011 where I hated life. Hated every minute of being conscious, just couldn’t seem to shake the oppressive weight of the shit I was dealing with.. and then I found Comeback Kid. It didn’t fix everything but damn near every day I’d get in my car after work and crank this to 11. Even thinking about it now gives me chills because it helped me keep focus on the fact that I’d find a way to get through it and there’s be light at the end of the tunnel. Infinite love to them for saving my life

I miss you, Pat Jennings. You, Matt, Joey, and me at Comeback Kid's show. You were alive then. On top of the world. The smile that lit up our hearts. I'm glad my last memory of you is here. At this show in my mind forever. Chicago. Bane. One last hurrah as quasi-kids before being adults took up all our time. Before seeing your picture on the front page newspaper at work and realizing you were gone. You have no idea how hard we cried. How much a loss you were to us. I'm missing you tonight, as I do every once in a while when your memory hits me, so heavy that I can't sleep. It will all make sense some day. All will be reconciled with the notion that death can never kill something so alive. That all will be okay. That you are not lost forever. That really, no one is. God bless you, Pat.
While going through recovery and still dealing with the death of my mom, this song hits everything I'm dealing with. The 2nd verse of this song is just golden. This song also sounds like Thrice "To Wake And Avenge The Dead" I know I wasn't as close as I should've been to you mom, and nmy anger had a lot to do with it. I love you and miss you mom.
I listened to this track when it came out dreaming of waking up from addiction anf suicidal ideals. I have woken up AND now am all I dreamed. No hiding in shadows IM WOKE. YOURE NOT ALONE. I BELIEVE IN SEEING YOU RISE
Currently choking back tears rn... hearing this song now after so many years where I never really knew but now have been dealing with severe narcotic and opiate addiction over the passed 3 years... is something else. Haven't felt anything like this in so so long but haven't wanted to have such strong emotions really... definitely just gave me a wake up call
it happened the same to me with "that within blood ill-tempered" album from shai hulud. I suppose that's what happens when you listen to good HC music,
These guys came To singapore this year. After all these years, i witnessed the craziest raw punk energy live by them. Not to mention the new album is one of the best too. Thank you guys!
Saw these guys in Florida, 2006 I think? I had just dropped out of high school and spent the summer working before moving to Ocala, had this album on repeat the whole time. Looking back on it I wouldn't change a thing I met some great friends, listened to the best music and had a chance to figure my shit out. My kid likes this music too, I encourage fellow parents to play it for their young ones.
18 years and still down. Only love. Still have all my Original merch. First show was at the Axis is Boston before the Axis/Avalon turned into The house blues. Amazing times.
It’s the year 2006 and I just bought my Atreyu “a death grip on yesterday “album and it came with a bonus dvd 📀 of new music and on it was this music video and I thought it was the most amazing song ever on that dvd 😢 📀 what a great time that was
@@prodigyoutdoors I would just recommend this album. Also Alexisonfire, the album Watch Out. But yeah this song and album are pretty unique. Very life affirming.
I saw these guys in Philly and they were great. Can't wait for live shows to return. had to go find the shirt to get the band name correct. I have had 2 people since tell me they loved these guys when I wore the shirt to other shows
Y pensar que los descubrí cuando tenía 13, ahora con 22 años y tras haber oído muchas bandas más, me trae tanta nostalgia porque nada se compara con esas épocas
I miss this era of Comeback Kid. Turn it Around and the first half of Wake the Dead have some of the best hardcore I've ever heard. SHAKE OFF THE DIRT! SWALLOW REGRET!

It's the greatest song of all time, bar none.
It's great but there's lots of music just like it. Look into "posi hardcore"
This is one of those rare songs that never ages.

This is our city of the dead
Another life holds its weary head
We hope, we try, we live, survive
Counting days, trying to get by
Waiting for the calling
Anticipation in the air
We hope and dream of difference
City sleeping, unaware
Break the silence, WAKE THE DEAD
Running through these streets alone
I'll kick and scream, let's break this hold
'Cause I swear, that this won't render useless
I promise you, we've come this far
And I'm not stopping, I'm not stopping now
Enough hiding in shadows
Wake up, send out this message, it's clear
You said, you said, you said
this time was gonna be different
WAKE UP THE DEAD
[2x]
Coming alive, something stirs inside
This isn't over yet
Shake off the dirt
Swallow regret
Stop living under the weight
Living under the weight of regret
Your regrets
DON'T LOSE HOPE
Your regrets
DON'T LOSE HOPE
Don't let it happen to you
DON'T LOSE HOPE
Which side are you gonna choose?
'Cause I believe, I believe it's in you RISE!
