Andrei my first Baltic I bought 2 years ago was the Aquascaphe Classic which is a fantastic watch. Last year I bought the MR Salmon Classic. Again a fantastic watch! This new Hermetique is on my radar. 👍🏼🤩 All the very best to you & your family, associated families for Christmas & New Year!🍻🍾🇦🇺
Hey Andrei - great video! Your videos are always top notch. I have the bronze Oris Big Crown Pointer Date and it has a polished pilot's bezel and it has patinated wonderfully over the past year. It has taken on a dark pink tone. Depending on the alloy used here I would imagine it would be similar to your bezel. Enjoy your new purchase!
Some things about Baltic : - Assembled and regulated in France - Had slowly but surely grown reputation in french horology community then world. - Passed French horology snobs toughrough tests (and it's not joking) - Their last collab with Only Watch rised 55k CHF for charity (beautiful cause, beautiful watch) - They are paying your uber to come visit their showroom, ain't nice ?! - You got to visite showroom because they are truly passionate, great time garanted So many reasons to like this brand 😅
I had 4 of them and had amazing experiences with all 4. That said, when I checked out the other models at the Intersect show, the finishing of the dive models and some of the others felt like it needed more work. That said, I am a huge fan and hope they continue to release brilliant watches. I don’t think they’re over-hyped at all and I think the pricing is fair for what you’re getting.
Another beautiful watch from Baltic. I love several of their offerings, however I don't own one because they are all TOO SMALL for my wrist. Despite the high prices, I will likely purchase one if / when they offer a time piece for those with larger wrists. Thanks for the video!
It’s a great looking watch and I am very supportive of micro brands generally but the price to value margin is more than I’d be willing to pay. Like you perhaps my opinion will change. I’d love to see a follow up review next year to see if it’s still a keeper for you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Big fan of your channel! Just wondering why on earth would anyone quote chat gpt? Something important? How about your microwave’s opinion? Specially imho you have enough experience and knowledge to give your own feedback. Ps. No logo on the crown is just not ok for that price. Take care my friend.
I've only had experience with one Baltic watch, their dual crown diver. Thus I can't speak for this model, but my experience with them is mixed. Over all I really like their design on cases, and their straps are great. The feel and finish, for me, felt lackluster. The watch felt light, as if there's some hollow points in their SS construction. Also had some dust under the crystal. I do like their name as it looks great on the dial. I think they are about $200 USD too expensive, should be in the $500 range IMO.
I went to the London showroom full of high expectations and found the same thing. Noisy rotors, and just felt rough. I’ve bought a Traska Venturer as a fun, affordable travel watch, and it’s a world apart in build quality 👍🏻
@ Traska is absolutely the brand I’d recommend over them as well. Amazing quality for the price, plus I hear their customer service is great. I will be grabbing the Commuter one day 👍🏼
@@Mackster248 I mean, sure, but the designs from Traska and Baltic are very different, so one is hardly an alternative to the other (unless we're only talking about specs and market segments).
Baltic say they have tweaked the design of the crown for this bronze version compared to the steel version to make it easier to wind. I'm tempted to sell my green steel version and get the green bronze one, partly because it looks great, partly because of the crown, and partly because I've never had a bronze watch before.
Hey, mate! Long time viewer here. I recently found an interesting brand called Swiss Military By Chrono they make some decently looking tool watches/divers some are made out of titanium even. There is not a single proper review of the watches on YT also reddit is silent(mostly). If this interests you they might hook you up with a piece to review if you reach out to them. I'm not affiliated with them in any way I'm just interested in their Titanium 300 model.
Great review, it does look good and appears to wear very well, but as you say it's more expensive than the competition and we all know it is made in China apart from the movement.
Les mouvements Miyota série 9xxx sont excellents : ils sont fiables, ils sont précis et ils sont d'un prix abordables, puis ils n'ont pas à rougir devant un quelconque Sellita ou tout autres mouvements suisse de base.
This is thier best watch to date imo or at least what appeals to me the most from thier line up but i do feel the brand in general are a bit overpriced & overhyped but that said this is a lovely looking piece .But i must add your photography does do it more than enough justice .
Baltic may be a chinese watch brand, but it is a notch above the brands in its same category like Sea-Gull, San Martan, Baltany, Pir Polan, Cronos, etc..
I can't fault their designs but there doesn't seem to be a consensus either about price/value ratio, or QC. For now I'm holding off. I did buy one of the Chinese Micro rotor watches and felt the quality was excellent for the price.
No need to be suspicious of micro brands; just be aware that many of the designs are fresh but with a short aesthetic shelf life. Most will not age well.
I'd love a silver MR01, I get the arguments for the Lobinnis of the AliX world, but frankly, they just don't have the taste or design sensibility that Baltic possesses.
You know it was my birthday on the 11th and we met on the 12th when i saw this watch. Aaaand, they don't call me Cornel Bronzo Fliegerman for nothing... So, don't forget me when you want to part ways with this bronze baltic. Today i come to Bucharest for example, just a hint 😂😂
I still have to understand why people buy automatic watches. Well, if it's unique hand made mechanism - that gives a bragging right, few other people having it, it's rare and it's expensive. Few people can afford it. Not so with all of this mass made mechanical movements. To me it seems like a basic Japanese quartz is just better - it's cheap, works well, it misses like 3-5 secs a month which is amount per day for most of mechanic movements. Is it a nostalgic feeling of father's watch he inherited from his dad? Is it that? Or is it a mechanical also is worn by some of rich people? I could get idea of a wind-only watch - one has a special time once a day, sit down and wind a watch, counting and feeling resistance of main spring. Does adjusting time gives that special feeling of being a watch owner, without actually winding (like most automatic watches are supposed to work)? To me, case, dial, hands and materials seem to be an area of creativity. Sizes - some people love small watches and some love big. It's so bad when I find a watch I like and it's made only in one size, huge and fitting only people with a 7.5" wrist. Or it has some weird lug construction that only native strap fits and it's super non-comfy or has annoyance calling replacement for different strap. Bronze case, titanium or hand carved Normandy oak. Stone, yes, real stone - hand picked and hand processed into a watch case. Or just plain polymer or steel case if you want just a timekeeper device.
Sweet watch but may wait for a used one as it's pricey and not four times the quality of a Baltany with similar specs and heritage (zero ). I remain unconvinced about the value of Baltany until they do a watch we have never seen in style
Well baltic... beautiful watches with a sublime design from the 30s, correct construction.. But, no sapphire glass on most models.. the slightest shock will break the glass (I experienced it on my model) the cost of the repair is 100 € and no commercial gesture from this young brand which will explain to you that to contain the prices it is normal not to have sapphire glass..! Well no sorry, all their competitors and some much less expensive offer a sapphire or hardlex glass and alas a very very fragile plastic glass.. Beautiful watch yes, but huge ego..
I own two and they feel premium in person. Baltic has clearly said in the past that they intentionally price their watches above the value market because they want to utilize the extra profit on each watch to design new watches, develop better manufacturing, and expand the brand. It is working.
French design, Chinese hands. Ok looking. Average specs. Overpriced, but they aren’t the only micro doing it. You started video strong then quickly backed off 😁
Given that Baltic is a brand less than 10 years old, I'd argue it's more important for them to establish their design credentials first before moving up the market with higher end components.
Cubitus, square case, round movement. Very ugly. Lot's of hype. 30 000? Baltic doesn't deserve 1000, right. Perhaps 400... PF Cubitus should be 6000. So it's all Hype. Baltic is 2,5 times inflated, PF 6 times inflated. Money Grabers.

They still shamelessly sell watches with acrylic crystal. So no way Hose. Also their designs are way too uninteresting compared to proper Swiss brands like Hamilton and Mido. A tool watch with a polished bezel. That is just stupid.
