Helpful video, thanks John! I thought my issue was busted handles (int and ext) but after replacing them and trying out the remote lock as well as manually pulling. Only the INT door handle would trigger opening; and upon remote unlock no noise comes from the DR side of the car. Pretty sure its a bad motor. cheers!
Why didn't you mention that the window guide has a top nut that has to be backed out several turns so the guide will move enough to get the lock in and out??
I had a similar issue where it would not open from the outside. I had to undo a screw around the interior handle and lock, and pull the little cover off and manually pull the door handle rod (bottom rod) to trigger the door to open. I believe the issue I am actually encountering is a bad door actuator motor. I can trigger it, but only by the rod inside (with now a new handle inside and out); and if I press the remote unlock the other doors make a sound, but the drivers side (faulty) remains silent.
@@robixcube3373 I finally opened the door without cut into the door . The rod you were talking about , the top of the door latch where the rod attaches to was jammed up and I was able force it open with force . I was able to replace door latch.. yeah!!!

Just did mine, hardest part is the back rod that connects the door lock. Any tip for that one? I ended up using a technique that seemed sub optimal.
What about rear doors there are actuators or not ? Or no need to change?
Doesn't show the most difficult part of disassembly.

How do you open the door in the first place if the lock won’t unlock . I can fix it if I could open the dang door . Is that stupid question???
