That's fantastic you didn't fail for hitting a curb. I failed a Swift drive test for hitting a curb. It was 1005 my fault too. I had not slept at all the night prior and did not take a trick curb wide enough.
Really enjoy your videos. You’re very thorough and informative and I can appreciate that. Question.. any smokers in the class? Smoke breaks or designated smoking areas or is this a no go for Schneider? Thank you
The first day you might not be able to as there’s so much information and you’re inside doing videos. But after the first day is once you start going outside and they have designated smoking areas. Most of the instructors smoke so they make sure they leave time for others to smoke as well. Even when you are out driving and training. We pull over for a break to stretch legs and smoke! They are really friendly!
@@rookierodrigo1481 that is great to hear. Thank you for answering. I just graduated recently and am thinking Schneider will be my first home. Top knotch training of what I want. Can’t wait for more of your videos! Stay safe driver!
Thank you for taking us along with you and taking the time to do these videos. Good luck! You are gonna do great. Can't wait until you get your truck! Did you say which terminal you are at? I might have missed it. Stay safe. I subscribed!
I know this is quite old, I start with Schneider the 27th, I just wonder if you make it through week 1, do you get paid for that week immediately? Or do you get paid if you complete all of orientation? I wont have any money flying up to Arkansas so I’m a little worried about that…
I got paid on a weekly basis. They do not make you wait. You will receive money as you are there. Also you do not pay for transportation to get you TO and FROM orientation. Uber, Lyft, Taxis or renting your own car to get around the area while you are at orientation comes out your pocket.
@@rookierodrigo1481 Oh I know about the transportation thing, I’m gonna be flown there an obviously I won’t be paying for the $350 one way ticket haha. I just wont have but maybe $40 when I’m up there for drinks for the hotel room or anything… worst part of the deal is the 2 to a room thing, it’s so much better having your own room..
I was wondering a couple of things. Do you do the 2 weeks in Carlisle then head back to wherever you run out of to do the time with the TE there? And is the two weeks in Carlisle and the time with the TE what makes up the 18 days the recruiter talks about? Hope those questions made sense lol thanks for the videos to btw. Very thorough and informative!
@@jamesc3388 that’s basically correct. My recruiter told me I’ll be at Chicago for a two week class room than 1 week OTR training. After that you come back and test out
Yes you do the 2 weeks. And unfortunately no you don’t do a run similar to what you’re doing for Schneider. It doesn’t make much sense to me but even local guys had to do one week of OTR.
@@rookierodrigo1481 thanks for the responses guys! Yeah sort of odd. You would think they want to train you on your route but I guess a little otr is good experience too
No they don’t. The pre trip is so basic. And they just watch you do it. It’s not like CDL school. They just make sure that you are actually opening the hood and walking around the trailer. No worries you got this. 😊
Thank for your videos but im really upset because my family member went to the Indianapolis place got all the way 2nd wk to a wed 2 days before he was to start with his TE on the truck they gave him a test on the HOS and he missed 2 answers failed and was sent home. The next week got a call asking that he pay 2400 for the breach of contract. He watched trainees hit trailers and almost the instructor but was not sent home Schneider beware new recruits some can and some cant when who gets sent home. js
@@rookierodrigo1481 I'm headed to Wilmer, TX next month for training. Your videos have been the best and most informative I've seen. Appreciate you very much. Best of luck to you with your TE and your career.
Do they give you "Points" from day one? i will be getting my CDL through them so I'm assuming they will be a little more lenient in terms of training, Basically the very first time I sit down in a truck will they be grading me?
Thanks you for everything, i will be reporting to Carlisle, PA on Sunday Nov 12
Your eye for detail is exceptional! ❤ Thank you 🥰 appreciate it!!!!

Is the movement check also measuring blood pressure.
No. Just muscle movement
Where do they place the sensors at, do they do chest
seems like schneider training is legit.

Do you have to take the test regardless even if you have your cdl but no experience?
Yes! But it’s not a hard test and it’s exactly what you’ve been doing the whole two weeks. No worries! It’s hard to fail
Thanks start Monday!!!
How long do you go out with your trainer OTR, cause from what I learned most companies required 3 to 4 weeks OTR?
One week 😂😂😂 it’s 5-7 days. I only went out for 6 days.
Great content. Much appreciated
I'm starting week two on Monday

What week did they conduct a drug test and hair follicle?
The very first week
I need information on the training Do you really need to pass the training? I mean if you don’t pass it they let you go?
That's correct. If you don't pass the training, or they feel its not working out, they let you go.
Is the CDL test in-house or at the DMV/DPS? Thanks.
Thank very useful video
I am considering going to schneider for training
Did u go home after your two weeks and wait on a trainer . Or do u go straight over the road
No, there is no home time in between training and going with a trainer. You go with a trainer after two weeks. After three weeks is when you go home
@@rookierodrigo1481 thanks for the info do they give u a pretrip sheet to take with u on test day

I’m currently in Carlisle, just entered week two. I heard that on the last day (graduation) you get a final computer test? What is the test on?
Is this the Schneider CAT Program or did you already have a cdl in Carlisle for a different trainer. Does Carlisle have the CAT program
Thanks for the great information. You rock, thanks again for your help and information to make our orientation smooth. See you on the road👍
