You're one of the most wholesome men on UA-cam and I can tell you genuinely enjoy your work as much as we enjoy watching your videos. Glad to see you back again.
Not gonna lie, you started on those bee facts and I rolled my eyes. 'Oh, most of the bees are female, y'don't say'. Then you laid some bombs down. 1.5 times around the entire world... For less honey than I get in a honey stick? I thought I savored this wonderful stuff before. You totally changed how I view it.
JP, Glad to be watching you again. I have been with you since before our beards were gray. It is you and Randy who brought on my Love of the Honey Bees. Thanks.
Hello again my best bee man in the world I am so glad that you have got another video out you have learned me so much about bees and it don't matter how much we learn there is always more and my man you have showed me so much I feel like I can go out be able to be comfortable telling people about bees and knowing what I am talking about I thank you very much Even you are hell a good looking bee man Kind regards Helen Tasmanian
Yay! I'm working on a 10 page paper for school, and this video is just the thing I needed for motivation and focus. Thank you for making my day and helping those bees!
I worked in commercial horticulture off and on for a few years and when the crops started blooming in the greenhouses we would have bees around as the weather got better. At one company we had just one house and so we had crops into the summer and fall as well as late winter and spring. We didn't mind the bees and they didn't mind me going about my work. In the fall we usually had a large collection of fall bloomers outside and as the plants matured and bloomed there were bees everywhere. One day a coworker stopped me and pointed behind me and, as I was moving pots from one area to another, the bees would just follow along behind in little cloud. They would wait until I got the pots situated and then move in to go to work. We considered the bees part of the staff and there was never a problem.
Throughout the removal, I kept thinking it might be good that it was late winter. There seemed to be a decent amount of comb and if it had be heavy laden with honey, it might have been a bit harder to lift that ramp section up onto the table. 🍯
JP thanks for all your videos. You were a big influence on our decision to become beekeepers about 5 years ago. We now have 5 hives and love our bees here in southern Indiana. You are a treasure
Someone’s been working on their editing skills!!! Love it. So glad you’re back! I’ve been binging you’re videos the past few weeks. Keep up the good work.
Thx again take us with you ;-) I miss shawee together with u :´( Here at my place we start slowly the season. Hazelnut and willow bring the first pollen. But its cold and rainy the hole time so my girls don't fly much. 32 °F at night and around 46°F on day And this winter i lost 4 hives to varroa :( have a good one - and stay save ;-) Greetings from germany
You,JP,are a fantastic man.You not only alleviate a problem but you have clear concise explanation of the bee habits, what you use in your work and how the bees react.Thankyou for your fine work with great attitude.
I've been binge watching these recently. Nice to watch when your baby has you up at 3am. I think the humming of the bees puts my baby to sleep and I get to watch a wholesome video. Thank you for putting in the effort to film your work.
My man, i was randomly rewatching a few of your vids yesterday... and you drop this! The voice over for video notes is a nice touch. Much respect and admiration for you and your work JP... I'd send you some of my killer duck gumbo but i ate it all!
Good to see you JP! Love these bees and their story, thanks for showing a follow up. You know they will be fine as they have accepted the box, they have their queen, and they have capped brood. She is laying only to the capacity of her bees, but I have a feeling she will become a very busy lady and hard to keep up with once they get their spring numbers up. She will keep them on their toes! Great video!!
Hey JP! Just found your channel and I absolutely love you and all your bee relocations! I wish you had a patreon so I could donate. Thanks for so much wholesome content.
Hey JP, I've been watching your videos for a bit now and I wanted to let you know that you never cease to amaze me. I have a deep respect for bees but also a great fear of them too so to watch you work so calmly around them is amazing to me. I've learned so much from your videos and they are so wholesome to watch so thank you for making them and sharing them with us. I wish you had more subscribers, this is the kind of thing that everyone should see.
Your videos are awesome and so are you. I just discovered you and have been binge watching your videos and learning all about bees. Thanks, you are informative and entertaining.
JP is back!!! nice to see you again! best regards!! thanks to you, I started beekeeping by rescuing my first bee colony! I will accomplish 1 year on june and I still have that colony! thanks JP, the earth needs you! and obviously we, your followers! good health, love and long life!😃
Great content, thanks for saving these girls. No veil, barely smoking them, and going into an unknown hive - mad props. You're so calm and I'm sure they sense that. At the end very calmly sitting on the ground and keeps inspecting the hive for another 3 frames after you know there's a bee up your sleeve eventually going all the way to your armpit and then letting it out at 26:37. Just awesome JP.
Hey JP. Great to see a video from you. You've been quite lately. That was a magnificent looking hive you opened up. Glad you got them relocated with no trouble. Can't wait for your next video. I love the way you educate us as you go through your process and great to see the post removal follow up. Be safe. God bless.
Just wanted to say thanks for your videos...you have a natural talent for doing what most folks would not dream of doing...and you do it with expertise! I enjoy watching you and how thoughtful you are in how you handle the bees. I think they must know that you only wish the best for them and that is why you seldom feel the sting.
JP I loved your choice of music in this one, honestly it’s so relaxing to just chill out watching you do your thing with that soothing music playing. Keep em coming brother
Good to see you JP. I love watching you work in unison with the bees. All I know about bees is watching ya'll on youtube, but I say you have a gift from God. May your season be long, your bees strong and your hives healthy... Amen
Hey my man. Just loved how you put this info in the video about the bees. We need to spread the importance of bees to the ecosystem. Have a good one and keep up the hard work.
13:17 The Navy has its own construction battalion: the Sea Bees! I hope that young man finds out about them. Bees are some of Nature's engineers. He'd make a fine beekeeper. Thank you for your work!
I love how you talk to the bee's like you've known them for 100 years. Also really appreciate your approach, it's a genuinely symbiotic relationship and you actively go out of your way to make it easiest on them. Not a lot of people would go to the lengths that you do to ensure the move is as stress free for them as possible. Not a Bee Keeper myself but honestly you make me want to be one, lol. I have learned more about bee's from watching you in the last few weeks than I have on my own in my entire life. Keep doing your thing man, really enjoy these videos.
I am afraid of bees (insects) but want to learn more about them. I am impressed with how you handle them with such care, this probably contributes to them not stinging as much. That being said, from the title of your video I was expecting to see excited bees and how you handled the situation. It wasn't until the end that I realized your play on words, lol. Thanks for helping me appreciate bees and learn that they aren't always aggresive.
Aww it is good to see you JP. I hope you where able to stay safe and warm. It got pretty cold down south. That is the worse I ever seen it get down that way, and stick around for so long. It was super cold in Wisconsin. I hope every one is doing well. It's good to see the bees made it threw the harshness of the weather. That was a nice little job, you even got to sit down meet some other bee friends. Take care of your self JP.
Your quiet sense of humour and understated presentation would make ideal videos for school children learning about the biology of bees and the crucial "pollination cycle". You have undoubtedly steered many people towards a bee keeping hobby, folk who previously regarded bees as honey producing stinging demon wasps.
Watching with great interest from Western Australia... Wish our bees were that friendly.
I'd love to see the moment they snap the rubber bands 😆 must be a hell of a surprise for them when it whips 😆
This is better than National Geographic. I learn so much watching these vids.
Ooooh Jp...so glad you're back. Things aint so good these days...we need you more than ever! lol
I second this comment!👊🖤😊
100% he's awesome, you start watching a vid then... Get mesmerised in the beauty of what he does
So true. So relaxing to watch
Thank you JP. Great move.
You're one of the most wholesome men on UA-cam and I can tell you genuinely enjoy your work as much as we enjoy watching your videos. Glad to see you back again.
Amen !
I wish I had watch this channel 3 years ago ... enough said
The follow up at the end was just as interesting as the removal so definitely add this again if it not too much work 😀
I ALWAYS enjoy watching your videos JP.
Glad to have you back missed watching you and your bees
I like your leaving the hive at the site till dark, so that the foragers have a chance to rejoin the colony.
When you are inspecting the hive at the end the sunlight diffusing through the comb is beautiful.
hello Mr Beeman,
I have missed your vlogs man... good to c u again! from me here in a cold UK xx
It's always nice when the comb is just about frame size! Enjoyed the removal!!
I have learned more about bees through these removal, than most of what I have watched on bee keeping on you tube! Thanks.
JP, Glad to be watching you again. I have been with you since before our beards were gray. It is you and Randy who brought on my Love of the Honey Bees. Thanks.
Thanks for watching all these years! ✌️🐝
Please add the follow up at the end more often. It is so cool to see them progress.
JP uploads, I click.
Hello again my best bee man in the world I am so glad that you have got another video out you have learned me so much about bees and it don't matter how much we learn there is always more and my man you have showed me so much I feel like I can go out be able to be comfortable telling people about bees and knowing what I am talking about
I thank you very much

OMG I thought the same thing! I am certain he has an even more handsome face under his beard. I love beards but they do hide faces 😂
I live in harahan, LA and must admit, ever since discovering this channel, I’ve hoped for a bee infestation so I could witness a legend do his thing.
I used to live in that area, as well. I discovered his channel right before I moved out, but I would have loved to meet this legend of a man.
I live in Colorado... and I swear, if I have a swarm show up on my ranch, I’m calling JP and sending him a plane ticket.
Yay! I'm working on a 10 page paper for school, and this video is just the thing I needed for motivation and focus. Thank you for making my day and helping those bees!
If you like here’s a couple of others I’m addicted to as well 628DIRTROOSTER and Texas beeworks
Thanks for your on going inspiration JP and keep up the great work!!!

The best part is when you say Alright Folks.. I LOVE IT!!! GODBLESS SIR.. Watching from Philippines..
I love how you go about moving that colony. No vacuuming off the comb, just casually framing comb and letting the bees find home. Wonderful.
I love watching your content, you’re a dang good dude. Hope your doing well.
My family has always had bees, it’s neat to see a younger guy being so educated on how to help them. Nice work.
Hey JP!!! It’s great to see you back😁👍🤗. I missed the talkin bees. Always enjoy you posts. 😁👍👏👏
Great video JP! I enjoyed reading the interesting tidbits that were scattered into the video.
I could watch you work with them bees all day. Wonderful man. Love your videos!
Wow, what a surprisingly dense hive. That might be the most comb I've seen you put in a box in any of the videos I've seen!
Always happy to see the videos had a positive impact. ✌️🐝
Fantastic to watch gentle and caring.

Meet in the middle... I want to cry joyous tears. You're such a beautiful human!
I got busy and had not visited in awhile. Love the voiceover. Videos getting better and better. Keep on it.
Oh nice tip on heating up hive tool for comb removal.
Instead of saying "like a hot knife through butter", we should all start saying "like a hot hive tool through propolis". 😎
You,JP,are a fantastic man.You not only alleviate a problem but you have clear concise explanation of the bee habits, what you use in your work and how the bees react.Thankyou for your fine work with great attitude.
Okay, LOVE the hive update at the end!!! Lots of nice info about them after the move. Definitely a huge upgrade to the video! Thanks JP!
I've been binge watching these recently. Nice to watch when your baby has you up at 3am. I think the humming of the bees puts my baby to sleep and I get to watch a wholesome video. Thank you for putting in the effort to film your work.
Was waiting for that red dot for the first video of the season, well done JP from Bristol UK.
She has been busy for sure, look at all the babies that are growing too. Have a great day
My man, i was randomly rewatching a few of your vids yesterday... and you drop this! The voice over for video notes is a nice touch. Much respect and admiration for you and your work JP... I'd send you some of my killer duck gumbo but i ate it all!
