Our 2022 Mu-X is about a year old now. So far, we love it! Pros of the car is its space and practicality. May mga features na kulang but it’s okay, I think Isuzu’s approach is more on practicality and long term usage. I must say that the suspension of the Mu-X is really disappointing. In fact, mas comfortable pa sakyan yung first generation Mu-X (2014 model) namin. Acceleration of the car is also a bit sluggish but once you’re on the move, engine remains calm and capable naman at speeds 100 km/h above. Nababawi naman sya ng fuel economy hehehe. The Everest is the clear winner imho. The fuel economy is right up there with the MUX but the ride comfort and extra features clearly make it the better mid-sized SUV.
Not surprising that the mux won the fuel economy part. In my experience, Isuzu really tunes that throttle more for economy and you really have to put your foot down to get more power. It would really be nice if they can give it atleast some basic drive modes like toyota does.
I'm being a fan boy here, but 360 degree cam can be fitted after market and so can the suspension with Tein EDFC which can stiffen or soften the sus with click of a button. Add both these accessories + MUX's prices will be closer to Everest's price. The fixed 2nd row is a bummer but as shown in the video the 3rd row still has best space, so I can live with it. Sadly here in India we only have one car dominating SUV space - that is the Toyota fortuner. Ford left India but is planning to bring back the Everest and EVs. Isuzu still offers old gen MU-X and the Skoda Kodiaq is a petrol only, Mitsu also left , Jeep Meridian is just Compass XL, MG Gloster comes with all the latest gadgetry and off road hardware but is more of a mall crawler. Long story short we are screwed. & if anyone has made it till here, thanks for reading.🤗
The mux’s firm ride is really good for long twisty roads because there’s less bodyrole compared to the others,a softer suspension just makes me more nauseous on those kinds of roadtrips but if you are just going on rough roads or just a pebbled road a softer suspension is good.

Topgear team. You have to correct your point system to a weight range point system and not make it too literal . No one is going to pick bad ride and comfort just because they want to save 0.5 km/l in fuel. The fuel mileage is neglible. This would have been an easy win for Everest. Ride and comfort and storage should have a heavier weight vs other aspects.
About FUEL CONSUMPTION, I wish and hope you bloggers could do the ACTUAL COMPUTATION on the CONSUMPTION, like putting a full tank, traveling to at least 50 to 100 kilometers depending on your energy to drive then getting another full tank, from there you can compute the ACTUAL FUEL CONSUMPTION.
