I heard it's a tricky design decision what the car does with regen if the car is full of energy capacity. In any event, Tesla removed the user option to adjust the regen braking at least on the RWD. Dunno if this was because of less need or to get a simplified user experience.

Do you think LR is worth the extra 10k in US without any tax credit especially when performance model is out and is cheaper the LR. This is for someone who does not qualify for 7500 tax credit in terms of resale value after 2-3 years.
What are your thoughts on the difference in battery chemistries between the RWD and AWD, Long Range version? I read that the RWD version batteries degrade less over time. Thanks. Is it really a significant consideration? Thanks.
I have a model y long range, which has the lithium magnesium Cobalt chemistry. Those batteries weigh less and prefer to stay between 20% to 80% to prolong their lifespan. Their advantage is they can discharge at a higher rate which is why they're still used on the dual motor and performance trim models. The lithium iron phosphate chemistry can be fully discharged and fully charged to 100% with no issues. They also have a significantly longer lifespan. At least 50% longer lifespan. Their disadvantage is they weigh more and they can't discharge at the high rate required for the performance models. However that might change with more research into that particular battery chemistry. With that being said. If there would have been a way to get a dual motor long-range model y with lithium iron phosphate batteries I would have done so. Hopefully Tesla can perfect that particular battery chemistry or come out with a new battery chemistry that takes advantages of all the traits that we want for the next generation of batteries.
Great review and fully agree with your points! Would you tint the roof of this model? If yes what % tint did you go for? I did 3m ceramic 50% and its become a bit tricky to see out the top.
One thing that no reviewers have discussed is that the refreshed Model 3 gets rid of "creep" and "roll" and offers only "hold" mode of driving. So my question is: what do people do when they need to move forward or backward like 2 or 3 inches? This is hard to do using only the accelerator . . . .

It’s honestly just too slow
You’re to slow 4.2 is slow. Hater
The new M3 is not even close to being a better car than the MS. You can argue it's a better value, but not a better car.
Whaaaat
Maybe, but the new 3 is better than the S in some areas now at least.
Seems like you have been drinking the kool-aid. Newer does not always mean better. Not willing to drop 40k
If the 24 has better suspension, quiet cabin, all windows double, heated plus cooled seats, ambient lighting, nicer wheel covers, better headlights,i'd say it's a better car than a 23 or older. If you have to have the tax credit, than another model or just save $ and buy used,Calif still has a used cash rebate. As always Chris does a great review and we can make up our own minds
