Yes it is! As for typical Michigan weather, it’s going to be cold and rainy all next week so I’m not sure how much painting will get done. But at least I have other projects to finish up.
I found a 23 inch front tire for my 1980 XL 250s made by Bridgestone called a "tw9" (for trail wing) my original tires were hard as a rock, so I assumed they would not be safe on the street.
@@TwoWheeledHepkat I don't know if i should buy an extra, just in case they stop making it?! I hate to sink $110 into a tire I might never need, buy I guess i could sell it easy, if Bridgestone stopped making them & I don't needing my extra.
I know the feeling. I just know sooner or later I’ll have to break down and put a 21” front wheel on it just so I’ll have more tire options. I actually have 3 of these bikes. One is my parts bike that I keep robbing pieces off from and the other is my near mint bike that will always have a 23” front tire no matter what.
@@TwoWheeledHepkat just found out there's a club on Facebook and you can't be a part of it unless you have actually kept the 23 inch front tire! I'll send you the link to the Facebook thing to check it out.
I did add the oil but I forgot to film it. The maintenance manual says to use 185 - 195 cc of fork oil. I put in 190 cc just to be safe and if the forks are too soft I’ll add another 5 cc. Thanks for the questions.
Nice! The light is becoming visible. The tunnel is not so dark.

Yeah, the Bridgestone TW9 is the only 23’ x 3” dual sport tire being made right now. It’s the same one I had to buy.

The name is super long, but it's basically "Honda XL250s, XL500s, XR250, XR500 with 23" front tire only" yup, super long name!
How about the oil, you didn´t put any???
At what moment you put the oil??
Quantity per bar in ml??
