  • In this video I give a tour of the Global Commons at YUI!
    Each unit has two kitchens for both halls with each resident having their own cabinet space to store dried goods. Furthermore, their is a shared laundry room, bathroom, and shower space. For the rooms, you have access to a closet with decent cubby space and storage underneath your bed for more clothing or your suitcase. There is also a mini-fridge and bedside dresser you can move at your convenience across the room.
    Most of the winter essentials that I packed came in to use since it snowed the first two days. However, snow is quite unusual at this time of the year so no worries if you can't fit extra warm boots or leg warmers. Otherwise, I was able to easily fit all of my clothing since there was so much storage in the room. Hopefully, this video is another helpful addition for study abroad life at Kansai Gadai!

    Is there only one bathroom per hall? Do you know if there is any way to have a private bathroom?

    Is there a selection process for getting into these dorms? Or do you just select them when you apply? Im planning on attending KGU and would prefer these over the homestay

      Yes you can either choose the home stay or staying in YUI. You can’t really decide where in YUI you will be but the rooms are pretty standard across I believe!

      @@Genevieve024 Okay! Thank you SO MUCH. Did you enjoy the trip, like did you ultimately think that it was worth it? I have a lot of anxiety around it and I want to be as worry free as possible. And do you have any advice to give?

    I planning on going this spring, is there a curfew for the dorms?

    • @Genevieve024
      @Genevieve024  8 місяців тому +2

      There is no curfew but all entrances but the main will be locked after hours to make sure only students with key cards are coming and going. From what I recall, there is a curfew for when men and women are allowed to be going into the opposing gender dormitories as well. There is also general noise curfew on each floor just to be respectful as well to those sleeping but otherwise you can come and go within reason from the dorms! Hope this helps!
