This goes to show that you don’t always need more sharks and more money to be successful from this show, as long as you know what you NEED. Well done to the entrepreneurs for understanding that!

Im starting a diet journey and it’s very annoying that you can’t eat certain things at curtain times and how many times etc. I think this is great . Low calories & has proteins . Sounds great
Honestly people that look at it like that aren't really ready to quit. It's like a smoker switching to light cigarettes instead of quitting. When you're ready to accept that you can't eat BS then you'll make real progress. Because once you get there you'll work towards eliminating bad food instead of trying to "cheat".
Counting calories is one of the most overrated methods of losing weight. Same with eating certain foods at certain times, or "meal timing". Neither are really necessary. The truth is you need to work out hard and avoid junk food, it's that simple. If you work out hard (as long as you don't straight gorge yourself) and don't eat crap you'll easily lose fat. The problem there is people don't wanna hear that because they don't want to put forth extra effort. Counting calories is like saying you want to do the least possible exercise. That means you have to cook for yourself most of the time. And that also means you have to eliminate virtually all "fun" foods (also known as convenience foods). What that means is your diet can really only be: meat, vegetables, cheese, milk, fruit, fish, eggs, butter and rice. Little to no sugar (except a little WHOLE fruit, not juice), no flour/wheat, no beer or alcohol. Now I'm not saying I'm perfect because I cheat a lot, just that I eat pretty clean the majority of the time. I stopped wasting time counting calories almost two decades ago when I realized it was all about eating clean and restricting processed foods/carbs. But I'm in the best shape of my life and for the most part in better shape than guys at the gym who are roughly half my age. You have to also think counting calories just isn't very smart compared to eliminating junk food altogether. Here's the thing: If you're trying to play both sides where you eat junk but it's OK because your counting calories, the problem will be that said junk food is gonna wreck your allotted calories. For example OK you're counting calories and that means you can still eat pizza. You eat like two slices, there goes almost half your calories for the day. Not only that but you're left feeling full for how long? An hour or two? And what are you gonna eat for the rest of the day to keep under 2,000 calories? Crackers? Instead of having to worry about how many calories are in this or that, I personally would much rather simplify things by saying I can eat this, and I can't eat that.
Barbara: "I'm happy to entertain other offers, I don't mind that at all". Barbara literally any other episode: "Give me a yes or no within 5 seconds or I'm out".
This is kinda why people hate Barbara right here - she just showed she’s capable of hearing out a client and making a good solid offer and is flexible. So 90% of the time when she’s out for the most ludicrous reasons it makes her seem disingenuous.
I think she just goes with her gut instinct and the idea that she is always out is realllyyyy just a funny UA-cam comment trope, and that's all... lol like it's not that serious... she just trusts the feelings she has about people, and that's reallyyy what's guiding whether she's in or out... not just the product or raw sales figures... and when you research how many of everyone else's deals fall through and never happen... ehh her backing out may actually be more honest and for the best
She trusts her gut. She says its based on the person but it also seems to be that she likes to invest in food especially dessert based companies. Which makes sense because her big shark tank hit was that cake company.
@@SY-qg6qn That literally makes zero sense, a good business make money, there's no bs liberal arts degree definition otherwise. She's risk averse, generally around the owners. If she doesn't trust the owners, she back out. It's her time and she doesn't want to spend it working with people she doesn't trust or something feels off about the business. They all do it, 100k, 200k, the money itself doesn't matter when they're all easily worth 100+ million, it's their time and legwork that matters. If she has to spend a significant amount of work she for people she doesn't like or a business she doesn't feel 100% about, she doesn't bother entertaining an offer and the show just makes it worse when they edit away most of the the presentation, arguments and thought process.

On their website, their 8 pack of donuts is $31.50. I don't know if this includes shipping but almost $4 per donut. Ouch.
