I’m the artist who painted the portraits. I expected some roasts on Brian’s portrait 😂 I couldn’t find a very good picture for reference so I had to use his headshot from Instagram. I’m glad the rest of the crew were happy with their results though! 😅
5 minutes in and I'm so happy the boys are all back together. Aaron taking one for the team to get everyone rolling again....man, I've missed this. Welcome back, guys!
The glass thing at weddings just blew my mind. It totally makes me rethink the wedding scene from New girl where Schmidt stomps on a huge mason jar. I now think that was fake.
I found this podcast a few weeks back and it’s replaced tv for me ! I have almost finished all the podcast from 2020 till now ! I was so excited see a new one drop ! Nateman I know you are busy , don’t get so busy you lose the joy of just being you !! We housewives need you !! Love the rest of the crew also !!!
Was ready to say how exciting it was to have y’all back together when I realized what you did with the acronym BAND. (B rian A aron N ate D usty). Clever! Love it and love the podcast!
I have to admit, I got so excited when Nate said he watched Shawshank Redemption and then was immediately disappointed.... way to break everyone's hearts ... you blew it Buddy 😉😉
I’ve watched since day 1 of this podcast and this episode has my favourite moment of all of them, the look on Nate’s face when he learned Dusty did improve was just a perfect look of amazement 😂😂😂 , this is such an amazing podcast
Dusty’s off-hand deca-donuts comment about how donuts should come in ten was super underrated. Had me cracking up! Definitely eating two roadies from now on and telling people I ordered a deca-donuts.
BATES! That shirt! As a Founding Folk I gotta get me some Mount Natemore. --> I underestimated the rush of getting your comment read on the show...I had the podcast on at work and it registers that I just heard my name. Knowing Breakfast selected it, Nate read it, then Dusty said my name - it was like, I feel low-key popular like I could hang out and get some lunch with these comedians. (just the right amount of pedestal and approachable to make my day). keep up the great work guys.
I have laughed so hard listening to this! Especially the sports talk (& the singing 😂)! The shows were really good while Nate was gone but there is just a magic to this foursome. Great to see the crew together today. 😊
I love that Dusty did improv heavily for six years, and then in the moment the best he could come up for an improv troupe name was “The Nateland… Squad…”
So happy Aaron is back!!! He really adds so much to this podcast and I always enjoy his take. When he tells the story about the gas station I felt like I could see his face, just all blushed, embarrassed and laughing 😂 poor guy! But, great stories from his trip
It is great to see the BAND back together! Obviously Nate's shows are a huge attraction across the country and rightly so, but if you have a chance to see any of the other guys live - do it! Their stand-up is so good. Brian, Dusty, and Aaron are all friendly, and hilarious. More often than not you'll be able to meet them after the show. Time and money well spent to see them in person. Just go Folks!
The conversation about eating at McDonalds or rewatching The Office because it's comfortable, really felt like this week's episode with the BAND being back together. Felt like home, it was a good feeling having everyone back. Love the pod! Love you guys! Congrats Nate on the success! Leslie Eddy
Hello folks & Hey bear! Just wanted to say thank you for the effort you all put into the podcast! Listening to Nateland every week is like getting a big hug from old friends. It’s been a really tough year, but you guys have kept me “having a good time.” Love y’all! P.S. I watched Dusty’s full hour on UA-cam. “Old Dusty Hyman” will forever be my favorite bit! 😂
Just purchased my tickets for Aaron’s show in Edmonton! We saw Nate during his last comedy tour… sure wish his current tour had a few more Canadian shows! Can’t wait to see Aaron. Sincerely, A Founding Folk
A founding folk here. I loved when Nate and Brian sing the gimmie some lovin' song again and Dusty has such a good time with it. Then Aaron plays the Days of Thunder clip and he finally gets it! Yes, a lot of writing for the movie was done on the fly because they actually had real cars in some races to get shots. Watch the documentary that was made recently.
It was great seeing you recently, Nathan. I’m so proud of how far you’ve come and what’s still left for 2023. We’ve both come so far from our NY days. If Bates is still hanging around tell him congrats on little Elinore.
Oklahoma Sooners fan here! Thanks for sparking interest within the team and fanbase for the first SEC match-up with Vandy in a few years. OU will be favored by at least 20 points though. Can't wait! Also glad yall are all back together for this episode!
I've got my ticket to see you in Edmonton, Aaron!! Thursday night, I'll be there - and I'm bringing two friends who don't know you! I missed Nate when he was here, and was very sad about that, so I'm super excited!
I love the Uzbekistan shoutout. My wife grew up there and we visited this summer. We had a ton of travel time and I listened to a lot of Nateland there- I like to think I may be the first Founding Folk to bring the podcast to the great nation of Uzbekistan.
This podcast was definitely missing Aaron's asthmatic laughter which serves as this podcast's soundtrack. And now I think I'll go grab a Sausage McMuffin in honor of his return and his collegiate heroism.
Dusty, I was saying Woody Harrelson repeatedly to help you, but then realized we were thinking different movies-haha. Crazy because Woody is in a movie about Bonnie and Clyde with Kevin Costner...great movie! You guys are great and so glad to have you all back together!
I am late to the Nate Bargatze party. Found a short on Facebook in March. Became a fan. Started watching the podcast the end of June. I am finally caught up! The four of you are awesome! Can’t wait to see Nate in February. Aaron, Brian and Dusty, I live in Rhode Island would love to see if you ever perform near me! Charlotte Phillips
With the advent of the NBA prizing outside shooters, that puts a ceiling on the maximum height. For example the 90’s were a taller average league because the center position was more prized along with forwards. With teams loading up on smaller to slightly taller shooters, that average height is taking a hit.
Founding Folk here. It was so fun to meet some new comics and mix things up without Nate. I truly loved those episodes. But I'll tell ya, there is nothing quite like the 4 of you! Thank you so much for all the laughs. It's been a tough month, but this podcast helps. Bless you all!
I decided a phone case was a necessity for me. To the point that I order a case off of Amazon before I get a new phone. This is because I had previously purchased a brand new phone without a case, and within the 1st 5 minutes dropped it screen down on the cement. I did not have insurance to replace it, and had to use a busted screen for the next 2 years. You guys get me through the work week. Keep up the great conversations. Hey Bear!
Saw you in OKC Dusty, thanks for comin out! We had a good time ✋🏻 I live in Tulsa. Ive seen you in MO and in AR, it was nice to not have to drive as far this time. (Also saw Nate at BOK in Oct. I’m gonna see Aaron in Tulsa in February. Then all I’ll need is Brian to have seen the whole BAND.) (Brian, by the time I knew you were opening for Leanne at the casino out here a few months back, it was already sold out. I’ll catch you next time!)
I don't know... now you'll only get them in weekly doses. May experience withdrawals. Good thing Nate is expanding and you may get to see him in the Wild more.
Aarons comment to Dusty, “you mean in the middle of the glob.., world! Gotta be careful with my words!” Knowing that Dusty ain’t buying into that globe thing! 😂 😂
The average height of 5.675 feet is 5' 8" not 5' 6". The 0.675 decimal multiplied by 12 inches equals 8.1 inches. So Dusty is roughly 1 inch taller than the world average. We're having a mathematically accurate good time!
Dusty mentioned that he would like to see Brian be the "Talking Ref" at 1:12:12. Then Aaron says that the person who talks is called the Umpire. I would like to clarify that the person who talks with a white hat in football is called the Referee. In fact, that person is the only person called a Referee. All of the people who officiate a football game are called "officials." It's kind of like how someone may call tissues "kelnex" even though that is a specific brand and not all tissues are Kelnex. Each Official has a position name. In the NFL, you have a Referee, Umpire, Head Line judge (or) Down Judge, Line Judge, Back Judge, Field Judge, and Side Judge. College football has all of those plus a Center Judge. So it would be incorrect to say, "These refs are blind!" However, one might say "These officials are blind, especially the ref!" This is coming from someone who has been a football official for several years. Love the show!
Please, please, please, in the vastness that will be the Nateland empire, can we get a weekly podcast purely dedicated to movie reviews. Nothing makes me giggle more than the four of you trawling through scattered memories of watching some of the greatest movies of all time. And a Shawshank watch party would seem to be the perfect way to kick things off. Followed by Crocodile Dundee. Keep the laughs coming.
I do love that everyone was more excited when they thought Nate had finally watched Shawshank than they were when they found out he would be on SNL! Love the podcast!
Hey Aaron, we've live in Hungary for about 3 years now, and the eggs come in cartons of 10. At first, I was caught off guard, like I felt short-changed. And then I thought, hey this actually makes more sense. Everything is base 10 over here. It's just makes everything easier honestly.
This is not an AD. was able to see Nate perform in Chicago on Sunday thanks to game time! I had the app downloaded on my phone already because of this podcast, on the day of the show i was looking for tickets but everything was $200 and above on resale. There was another resale app that had a particular pit seat priced at $19k, which i thought was ridiculous and odd. I had notifications for show set on game time but had already forgotten about it by the time the show started. I was watching football at home when i got a notification that there was a pit ticket available for $25. I got excited and noticed that it was already half an hour passed the start time, but decided to do it, buy the ticket and rush to the show, i knew i would missed the openers, but could get there on time for Nate. By the time i got to the purchase page, the ticket dropped to $5, so all in i got to see Nate, from the pit two rows back, for $12. Game time is awesome!
The confidence Aaron and Dusty talk about topics they don’t know about is astounding. Nate is much more quick to ask questions instead of pretending he knows the answer and Brian just says okay and moves on. Aaron and Dusty are the know it all teenagers of the show and Nate and Brian are like a confused old married couple trying to avoid an argument.
I died laughing at Brian’s comment when you guys were talking about Dusty being a swimmer and he slips in “they would think they needed to clean out the pool”! You guys just kept going and I was cracking up! 😂Sorry Dusty I know this was a slam on you but dang that was funny! Love what you all bring to the table. Love Dusty’s chill vibe, Aaron’s laughing alone makes me laugh, Nate is Nate, and Brian slips a good one in every once in awhile. Dusty had a great idea…Nateland Squad Tour!! I’ve been thinking you all need to do a tour together!! If you do please come to Idaho 😁
Hey, folks. I teach AP Calculus and AP Statistics in high school. During the donut discussion, Aaron and Brian made two important observations rooted in the foundations of mathematics. Aaron mentioned that we live in a base 10 system. We do because we have 10 fingers. Brian mentioned a dozen is important because 12 is divisible by more numbers than 10. Very true. In fact, math would be much easier if there were 12 digits instead of 10. More numbers would divide without remainders and multiplication facts would have easier patterns. Too bad hands did not have six fingers.
I love that Nate genuinely thinks the word “founding” is somehow connected to something being discovered or found. I’m also surprised Notre Dame Didn’t catch it.
I completely agree with the comment that us old/OG folks need a special title but I am glad more people are discovering the best (Quad Squad) podcast ever!
My son had a geography quiz on the countries of North America which included Central American countries. Maybe Bran-flakes said it was the other way? We did some practice quizzes and it helped him to race with me and I learned a little too. Love you guys.
Nate believing kids born now would live to the year 3000 was killing me during his time on the Pardon My Take podcast. Would love to hear more about the shows he mentioned he was saying that on Many thanks to the entire Nateland crew for making a hilarious podcast!
A dozen comes from counting with your hands. If you use your thumb to point to the individual sections of your fingers, you get 12 (4 fingers with 3 sections each). So you can easily count up to 12 with your hand, and then like Brian said it's divisible by 2, 3 and 4 which makes it useful for portioning. Bakers dozen comes from bakers not wanting people to complain if their cashiers accidently shorted someone, so they started telling their people to give one extra as a buffer.
Vandy is the only place that I have been to that has a chant for when they lose. I went to a game with some Vandy students back in the early 2000s and when the lost they chanted: "That's aright , that's ok, you're gonna work for us one day". Always thought that was hilarious.
Hello Forks. You guys were having a nice conversation about why things come in 10. Aaron is making some great points about the decimal system and Nate yells out "what about peeps?" Sounded like a third grade classroom.
When Brian asked Aaron how close he was to Antartica, and he had already looked it up. I think those two are more similar that either would like to admit.
Dusty deserves better. The movie he got stuck on with Woody Harrelson was The Highwaymen with Kevin Costner about the Texas Rangers who come out of retirement to hunt down Bonnie and Clyde. Love the podcast! Keep crushing it guys!
Kevin Kelly Great to hear the team back together!!! Awesome show. I think Woody Harrelson was in a film with Kevin Costner as Texas Rangers that chased Bonnie and Clyde
After hearing about pet hotels once on this podcast my daughter asked me about them. I told her they’re hotels that have all kinds of pets you can pick from (dogs, cats, hamsters, snakes, even cows, monkeys, etc) to sleep in your room and spend the day with you while you stay there. She asked if you get to keep them. I explained that they have to stay at the hotel for the next guests. She has been begging to stay at a pet hotel since then.
These guys all got their undercover sports wrong. Dusty: Professional Catfish Noodler Arron: Competitive Eating (top finish - 9th place) Nate: Big timing it, rubbing elbows with T. Swift and Mama Kelce in the luxury suite Brian: The NFL sideline audio guy holding the giant satellite who inevitably gets knocked over on an incomplete pass
This undercover professional athlete talk has me pondering something - who on the Nateland Podcast squad do you think would win in a 40-yard dash? I mean, it's a crucial life skill, right? Plus, I’d love to see the hilarious commentary that would come with the video of the race you post on social.
It’s simple. A dozen donuts. 12 pack of diet cokes! So is that a dozen cokes? Glad to have the whole gang back together! I’m a big fan of the pod. Looking forward to seeing Nate on December 7th in Evans, GA! Trebor Barnes
I wish you guys would grab a mobile camera once in a while and have different segments. You could cut to Brian running or Dusty swimming. Similar to how Jay Leno would cut to the Jay Walking segments.
I was one of the people who didn't love the addition of Dusty. I eventually saw that he worked well on Nateland. I saw his old special on UA-cam and hot damn was I laughing throughout! Dusty I'm now extremely sorry I ever doubted you!
Since nobody brought it up, I feel it’s important to point out that Lee Corso did have a stroke in 2009 and has had some difficulty ever since. I loved SNL and Gameday. Nate is the first non-athlete celebrity I have ever followed and it has been a whirlwind lately, congratulations!
Sometimes Aaron just says things that make me wonder about college graduates. Why are donuts in dozens, most things are in tens? This could not be further away from the norm. Just a few examples: Donuts, Strikes in a perfect game of bowling, Beer, Cokes, face cards in a deck, 12 days of Christmas, Ribs, Condoms, Sub sandwiches, Roses, Eggs, Batteries, Pens, MIR Space Station has been in orbit for 12 years, your first 12 years of life until you become a teenager, practically everything comes in twelves or divides into 12. How many ounces in a coke or beer? 12oz. The twelth man in football. Anyway great episode and glad to see the gang back together. FYI The preferred physical attributes might be the most specific in the sport for NFL long snappers. Coaches prefer snappers to be between 6' 0" and 6' 4" and between 240 and 260 pounds. They want them big enough to block, but they don't want them so big they can't cover the punt. Usually pretty lean and mobile.
I’m the artist who painted the portraits. I expected some roasts on Brian’s portrait 😂 I couldn’t find a very good picture for reference so I had to use his headshot from Instagram. I’m glad the rest of the crew were happy with their results though! 😅
It was amazing! Great job.
We love it dude
You’re so talented! They all looked great! Nice touch with Tennessee in the corner adding interest. I loved everything about it!
I thought you did a good job with everyone - Brian too.
Folk brother, you are so talented! I was a fine art major in school and accurate portraits are very difficult. You nailed it!
I’ve missed everyone together!!!! This is absolutely making my day! Love you all, this is not lost on us, we are so grateful you’re here!
Well said!!!
The boys are back in town 🎶
Aaron's been talking about his South America trip for 2 years. Nate starts off the episode with, "Where did you go Aaron?"
Yeah I thought the same thing, definitely definitely grade A Nate
I found this podcast a few weeks back and it’s replaced tv for me ! I have almost finished all the podcast from
2020 till now ! I was so excited see a new one drop !
Nateman I know you are busy , don’t get so busy you lose the joy of just being you !! We housewives need you !!
Love the rest of the crew also !!!
There's a lot of Natelanders out there because this is the best podcast, I hope it never ends.
Folks!
Man, I've missed Aaron
Was ready to say how exciting it was to have y’all back together when I realized what you did with the acronym BAND. (B rian A aron N ate D usty). Clever! Love it and love the podcast!
I have to admit, I got so excited when Nate said he watched Shawshank Redemption and then was immediately disappointed.... way to break everyone's hearts ... you blew it Buddy 😉😉
Yes!
IF he ever watches it needs to be recorded and a video put together and uploaded to this page
I would like to see an episode where the guys discover new countries by simply browsing a globe.
Globes are always a great addition to Nateland.
Think Dusty will be skeptical of the whole “globe” thing.
Poor Nate, he needs some rest. He's burning that candle at both ends. Livin the dream.
28:33 @Dusty's comment, "We can't know the whole...everything." should either be a tagline for this podcast or on some of his merch or both 😂
Or “It’s a big world”…
The chaotic energy this episode had was phenomenal. Missed that
Glad the BAND is back together ❤ All’s right with the world now😊
I’ve watched since day 1 of this podcast and this episode has my favourite moment of all of them, the look on Nate’s face when he learned Dusty did improve was just a perfect look of amazement 😂😂😂 , this is such an amazing podcast
Dusty’s off-hand deca-donuts comment about how donuts should come in ten was super underrated. Had me cracking up! Definitely eating two roadies from now on and telling people I ordered a deca-donuts.
Only if we could get those offhand jokes that get nothing ranked... Bingbong always makes them.
No one mentioned eggs come in 12! Or beer!
BATES! That shirt! As a Founding Folk I gotta get me some Mount Natemore. --> I underestimated the rush of getting your comment read on the show...I had the podcast on at work and it registers that I just heard my name. The moment Dusty realized he knew that song….I’m dying
when Nate says "founding, that just means they found it" I laughed soooo hard SHEEEESH HAHAHA
I came back for the rewatch because I was laughed so much the first time! Laughed almost as much as I did at Greg’s PB episode!
“I couldn’t see it, but it was 1000 Miles away” 😂
Dang man!!! I was so happy to see the crew back together!!! It just hits different!! ❤❤❤❤
So happy Aaron is back!!! He really adds so much to this podcast and I always enjoy his take. When he tells the story about the gas station I felt like I could see his face, just all blushed, embarrassed and laughing 😂 poor guy! But, great stories from his trip
I can't stop laughing about Bates being the middle guy in the bobsled! You all make my week!
It was so great having the whole gang back together! Nothing beats the chemistry between the four of y’all!
It is great to see the BAND back together! Obviously Nate's shows are a huge attraction across the country and rightly so, but if you have a chance to see any of the other guys live - do it! How cool that he made sure to stream Nates SNL.... which was freaking awesome.
Dusty’s call back to 602 didn’t go unnoticed by the founding folks.
Just purchased my tickets for Aaron’s show in Edmonton! We saw Nate during his last comedy tour… sure wish his current tour had a few more Canadian shows!
Can’t wait to see Aaron.
Sincerely,
A Founding Folk

Also glad yall are all back together for this episode!
Devastated to hear Aaron say he knows zero Portuguese after he’s sworn he’s using Babbel for the last 6 months.
I've got my ticket to see you in Edmonton, Aaron!! Thursday night, I'll be there - and I'm bringing two friends who don't know you!
I missed Nate when he was here, and was very sad about that, so I'm super excited!

Listening to Nateland and We're Having a Good Time every week feels like watching Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul at the same time.
Good job, Nate. Saw the CMA’s. Also good job Dusty, saw you perform as Hardy right before Nate. Having a good time.
Nate, you look so handsome at the CMA awards ❤️🙌
I am late to the Nate Bargatze party. Found a short on Facebook in March. Became a fan. Started watching the podcast the end of June. I am finally caught up! The four of you are awesome! Can’t wait to see Nate in February. Aaron, Brian and Dusty, I live in Rhode Island would love to see if you ever perform near me!

Underrated Bates comment at 16:13 "Face to Face" lmfao
Dusty and Aaron got it! 😂
With the advent of the NBA prizing outside shooters, that puts a ceiling on the maximum height. Can’t believe no one pointed out the unintentional pun at about 5:55 when Aaron says, “So that’s a HUGE glacier just *chillin’ there.” 😂
I decided a phone case was a necessity for me. To the point that I order a case off of Amazon before I get a new phone. You guys get me through the work week. Keep up the great conversations. Hey Bear!
Glad to see everyone back! Is Brian trying to steal Dusty's "Alriiight" + wave callsign?
The Boys are Back in Town!!! Hello Folks and Hey Bear!
Think Dusty knows this song? 😂
@@angie7164 🤣🤣🤣🤘
Saw you in OKC Dusty, thanks for comin out! We had a good time ✋🏻
I live in Tulsa. Ive seen you in MO and in AR, it was nice to not have to drive as far this time.

I used to work with Kirk’s sister! I texted her the night before you were on College Gameday. We were so excited for you and think you are the best!
After nearly a year and a half since I started episode 1, I'm finally caught up and I'm so glad I can stop chain-smoking this show
Same!
Hello folks! Just wanted to say great job to Breakfast, Aaron, and Dusty! Saw you guys at Zanies tonight. It was a HOT show! Keep up the good work!!

I had forgotten just how great this Pod is with all 4.
Always enjoy listening to y'all. I saw Nate here in Fort Worth. Brian,Aaron & Dusty please come here for a show!!!

I am astonished the guys didn’t mention the blues brothers when they were referring to gimme some lovin’. Iconic movie and iconic soundtrack
I thought the same thing last week, and when they brought it back up today I couldn’t believe they left it out again!
Where can I get the shirt Bates is wearing!! I NEED IT 😂
The “Shawshank Redemption Challenge” is just getting Nate to watch 2 and 1/2 hours of one of the best movies of all time 😂
I completely agree with the comment that us old/OG folks need a special title but I am glad more people are discovering the best (Quad Squad) podcast ever!
Would love to hear more about the shows he mentioned he was saying that on
Many thanks to the entire Nateland crew for making a hilarious podcast!
Since Arron got McDonald's in Argentina here's a fact he might find interesting, Buenos Aires has the only kosher McDonald's outside of Israel.
Kevin Kelly
Great to hear the team back together!!!
Brian on fire to kick the episode off! Ha!
These guys all got their undercover sports wrong.
Dusty: Professional Catfish Noodler
Arron: Competitive Eating (top finish - 9th place)
Nate: Big timing it, rubbing elbows with T. Swift and Mama Kelce in the luxury suite
Brian: The NFL sideline audio guy holding the giant satellite who inevitably gets knocked over on an incomplete pass
We saw Dusty in Albany. It was so fun! Judy
This undercover professional athlete talk has me pondering something - who on the Nateland Podcast squad do you think would win in a 40-yard dash? I mean, it's a crucial life skill, right? Plus, I’d love to see the hilarious commentary that would come with the video of the race you post on social.
How far can they throw a football? 😂
Aaron, I’ll see you next Thursday at the Comic Strip! Can’t wait!
I've never seen Shawshank either...I guess I should watch it
Nate squinting one eye to read "Kai" almost made me choke on my lunch.
Aaron has to bring McDonald’s breakfast to the next episode 👏🏼
I'll bring 10 Krispy Kremes. :)
Great show fellas 😎
Is there anywhere you can watch all of Nate's picks from college game day?
Hey what mic and mic boom stands are you using?
