Your hair looks fantastic. It has certainly grown, and looks so thick. Really happy to hear your scalp condition is improving. You look beautiful. I hope your daughters Sisterlocks is also flourishing. Looking forward to further updates from you. Almost 1 year, congratulations.

Hi Leecey, I'm based in North London and I've been researching all about sister locks. Does it hurt your scalp when you install and retighten it?

      Hiya,
I’ve got a fairly tender scalp and it hurt the first time round because it is a lot of work on your head and my scalp wasn’t used to that kind of manipulation. Also the consultant was a little heavier handed than some of the others I have since encountered.
My second install didn’t hurt at all, it felt very relaxing and my reties don’t hurt at all either - it’s all down to the consultant.
The second time my consultant kept my hair moist too which made a huge difference and she always sprays hair as she reties.
I’d say it’s down to having the right consultant but none of it should hurt and if it does then it’s not being done right or it’s being done too tightly. I’ve had about 6 consultants and only 2 ever led to me popping headache pills after my appointments with them.
I fall asleep in my consultants chair now 🙌🏿

@@leeceyleece2406 thank you for your response. I've just discovered your channel by typing in sisterlocks UK as most women I watch on UA-cam with sisterlocks are based in USA. I'm so glad I found you. What you said about getting sister locks for your daughter was so uplifting and renewing for my soul. I agree with all your points I just had to subscribe. Now I'm binging on your videos.
I will keep in mind your response. I hope the loctition I have chosen is gentle as I have no tolerance for scalp pain. Take care.

@@shiellaneeza so pleased, I hope my videos are useful to you - thankfully there are more and more UK ladies with sisterlocks doing videos. Instagram is a good space for it too.
Wishing you all the best - would love to know how you get on.

How do you manage fluff in your Daughter's hair, I want to do my daughter's hair but I'm worried about fluff/Lint

It honestly is so annoying!! But I keep her hair covered when she sleeps and if she’s just playing/rolling around the house.
I also wash every 2 weeks like clockwork to make sure I’m getting all the dirt out and every few months I do a deep clean with apple cider vinegar - letting it sit on her locs under shower cap for about 30 minutes before washing.
As annoying as the fluff and lint can be, it doesn’t compare to how great Sisterlocks have been/are for my daughter overall. So I’d do it again if I had the choice.
      Hope that helps
