🤣🤣🤣 listen! If you don’t need it then that’s great. I love the freedom too and if I could do even less, I would 👍🏿 I’m here for lazy locked life as well 👌🏿
Beautiful Locs. How often do you retie the front of your hair with the London loc tool? and how often are you going for your retie? Also, are you using the three or four point rotation. I can’t wait to get my SL installed next month! Loving all of your videos. Keep them coming:)
Thank you! My locs are retied every 5 weeks now by my consultant who doesn’t use this tool. When I retie my daughters locs, I do so with this tool as I find it very easy to use. If I retighten the front of my locs (which I do occasionally) then I also do it with this tool. I retighten my locs and my daughters on the 4 point rotation. Really pleased to hear that you are looking forward to getting your sisterlocks installed - it’s literally an amazing journey and I’m sure you’ll love it! Best wishes
OMG!!!! the back of my locs looks the same but I know it's lint 🙄 and it irritates me soooo much. For some reason, dying isn't helping and I'm tempted to cut those ones but not that tempted lol
It’s beyond annoying! When I took my first set down it was like chewing gum/glue and I realised that no amount of washing or ACV rinse would have gotten it out. I’ll either dye them or take them back ones down to clean and put them back in - depends on how I feel because it’s pretty bad.
Nice to see your technique! I like the idea of using it as pre-poo, need to actually take time to sort it out but never give it that much attention. My loctician washed my hair when I went the week before last to get rid of some of the build up from my scalp, which seem to do the trick.
I love it as a pre-poo and just generally on my sore bits as I go between reties. Glad your loctician washed your locs and was able to get you sorted. As soon as my locs mature I’ll be heading right back to one of my previous hairdressers for a very through wash because they were the best!! I often think about a salon just dedicated to washing locs/natural hair and wrapping to dry with minimal styling. Some of us enjoy a lovely, relaxing, through hair wash! Hope you’re well x
Your locs are BEAUTIFUL! makes me want sister locs 😊I’m going to try this, I haven’t used Aloe Vera on my hair before. How often do you use Aloe Vera on your locs?
Sorry, I’m just seeing this comment. I use it every time I wash my locs - every 2 weeks or so, sometimes every 3. It’s slowed down how frequently I have to wash my locs as my scalp is healthy and clear. And thank you! Sisterlocks are a blessing 🙌🏿
Hi, Maybe check with your consultant beforehand to make sure it won’t cause you any issues? It was a previous consultant who recommended it to me to help with my scalp issues and it worked an absolute dream. I forgot about it for a lot of this second journey which is a shame because I noticed an improvement after my first wash.
How do you not getting itchy red scalp between washed man I’m so stressed about this problem . When I wash my scalp with polytar shampoo my scalp is clear off flakes redness n itchiness then by night time I can feel the itchiness redness coming back I don’t understand do you suggest anything applying on my scalp between washes ?
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your scalp, it might be worth speaking with your GP or a trichologist. I had to try different things until I found what worked for me. Aloe juice and aloe gel work really well for my scalp, so if I’m having trouble then I rub some gel into the area and that really calms it down for me. I also use aloe juice mixed with water and some essential oils from time to time, but it’s the aloe gel that has made the most noticeable difference for me. I also use satin pillowcases instead of wearing caps at night as that used to cause me a bit of itching. It really is trial and error until you find what works, but it is worth getting some professional advice if it’s severe. Best wishes
@@leeceyleece2406 so what does this aloe Vera gel do for the scalp does it reduce inflammation on the scalp because I’ve watched your previous video you was using betnovate for your scalp and I have used betnovate before n it helped my scalp when I was using it twice a day then I stopped using it because its steroid and then my problem came back
@@unknownuser5300 yes it does, it has many health benefits and there is a lot written about it and also some videos on it. Aloe is anti bacterial and helps tremendously with inflammation and dandruff reduction for me, it’s very soothing. I no longer use the Betnovate is quite strong so I’d use it very infrequently. I have not had to use it since moving to aloe vera, it took longer to settle down but it’s natural and more long lasting and effective for me.
@@leeceyleece2406 how often do you think i should wash my scalp because I use polytar which is a tar shampoo every 2 days or every three days I don’t know if it’s too much or not as my scalp gets itchy n red but after shower my scalp is clean then after a few hours I can feel the itchiness n redness coming slowly so did you have the same issue like redness n itchiness on scalp because you stated that you wash like once a week or after 10 days which got me thinking rahh didn’t you get her flare ups or something ?
@@unknownuser5300 Hey 👋🏿 I used to have flare ups which caused me to wash frequently but since using the aloe it’s really calmed down. Sometimes instead of washing I would just rub the gel into my scalp. I keep the gel in the fridge so it’s cool and very soothing. Rubbing the gel into my scalp would calm my scalp and I wouldn’t have to wash it. Now that I do the aloe pre-poo I literally don’t have any itching or scales or flare ups and so I’m washing more for hygiene rather than for relief. I haven’t used Polytar so I can’t comment on that but I find T gel very useful and I also used another medicated shampoo at one point, which I have a video on. I really think you should get some medical advice if you’re having such regular flare ups as I expect that’s pretty uncomfortable for you. Wishing you all the best x
Never thought of aloe vera. I'll have to see. Beautiful locs ❤️
I’ve heard that some really don’t like it at all but it works wonders for me and I’m really pleased because it’s natural and easy.
Thank you!
If I wasn't as lazy as I am in regards to my hair, I would try this. Sisterlocks have given me that freedom 😂. Glad it works for you.

I've been debating using aloe vera, but wasn't sure if it would be okay since my hair is not fully loc'd. I may have to try it though!
