Since it’s not my design I can’t with clear Conscience give away the design to make copies but if you were to copy to the best of your ability from reference that would be very doable as the design is quite simple. Even if you just try to replicate it to the best of your ability without tracing onto a card it would be fairly easy to do as you don’t have to be terribly precise with the design for it to function properly.
Ok, on the bedroom door knob with the little hole in the center of the knob, just push a ice pick in the hole and it will open the door. An Awl, ice pick, or any straight wire that will fit the hole, will open the door.
Arrived double bagged, oh I have to get me one of them. Everyone needs a "locked yourself in, lock pick". Thanks bro you've highlighted exactly how useless this thing is. Maybe an extremely loose bedroom door it might possibly work for but butter knives work much better. Thanks for saving me $14
To each their own. Would look pretty weird carrying a butter knife around lol, and like I said in the video the plastic ones seem to work better so you could just make your own from an old gift card like I did and be all set.
@@TheZeaker I was looking at this video because I just bought the Sparrows Mini Jim and I'm having a lot of trouble opening a latch with it. I know I got a good hold of the latch with the bank card, but it seems like the latch i'm using is much harder to move than the ones in your video.. or it could be bad technique, but that probably wouldn't explain the card snapping. Just seems way harder in real life than it does on these videos.
@@TheZeaker I think I've figured out the problem, which is that there isn't enough room in the door slit to actually catch the flat part of the latch, as far as I push it to the side I can only manage to touch the rounded part, so there's no grip. As soon as I try it with the door open the latch moves easily because I can maneuver it that extra few millimeters. Hmmm. It's hard to find info on how to get around this. Or if I could get it further down ahead of the latch that would also work, but the top of the tool hits the door frame and won't let me past.. that's why I'm looking into the Hall Pass because it seems better designed for this circumstance.
Quantametric Coluccio I’ve heard of people angling the tool almost completely vertical and then prying down to try and get a better catch on the mechanism, it also helps if you’re slats on your door aren’t built into the doorframe. If the slat isn’t built into the doorframe the slat can have a gap inside between the frame and the slat which gives you more room to work with.
Why would you be locked inside your own room? Just use the button in he handle??? Seems gimicky.. if it can’t work on push doors then to me it’s a waste of money
There are doors that are like a door in your home but need a key to unlock from the inside. The round side of the bolt is not the other side and that is the time you use this. They are in buildings. In an emergency, like a fire, this could be a useful tool to get through the door.
maybe I'm just dense, but what good does this do if you're on the inside of an inward facing door where the lock is typically accessible?
Hey, they are trying to sell these things.😂
Idk about you but I used it at school a surprising amount
@@marty5300 some are not accessable but alot are because of business fire safety rules in certain countrys
I’m a locksmith and I use these on a regular basis
Jay Krupa nice! I’m no locksmith but I keep my picks and my hall pass with me everywhere I go.
Do you have a image or pdf so I can make one out of a plastic card? Thanks!

The future me bit was 👍 👌
I made one out of a bank card and it just snapped straight away...
Quantametric Coluccio that’s odd, I wonder if it was the type of plastic. I’ve been pretty rough on mine and haven’t had any problems.

Quantametric Coluccio I would recommend when you go to apply pressure on the tool you push in on the door to release tension on the mechanism.
