It was fun working with Sparrows on the Chaos Card II. As you said, it’s a companion to the first one, offering complimentary tools to the first one and I can confirm that saw really can cut!
I use my travellers hook for door bypass, o-ring remover, food stuck in teeth, scraping wood glue out of corners after it sets, grabbing filters out of AC units. They are just all around handy to have.
Traveler Hook (also known as a Shrum Tool) as supplied by the Carolina Roller Company is in my pocket right now. It is the perfect entry tool for doors without proper fitment. If the dead-latch plunger isn't held back, either that or the 'hall pass' gets you in faster than a key.
The traveler hook was and is also used for an O ring removal tool for automotive and other uses to slip O rings off of tubing/air conditioning lines etc...
There are dozens of different hidden handcuff keys available. My personal favorite is a hard plastic one(to.pass metal detectors) that has a notch so it also works with the split pawl handcuffs, and can be hidden inside a zippers pull. I also like the ones that are sewn to your sleeve and used as a shirt cuff button.
for some reason the travelers hook reminds me of latchhooking. it’s like paint by numbers with lengths of yarn. but anyway, i’m getting more worried handcuff keys like that are gonna need to be EDC for regular people sooner than later..
Affordable insurance that gives some peace of mind. I totally agree with what Bill said. Plus, it might put a slightly mischievous grin on my face, knowing my pocket prestidigitation packet could provide some welcome magic in a time of need.
I have one of the handcuff coins and one concern I have is with how easy/hard it would be to punch it out with hands only. That feels like I really should get a dozen and practice with my hands behind my back before I started relying on it...
That key style is very hit and miss. You would be better getting an AHK3 and attaching it to a shoelace, necklace or wrist band. You an get them from Oscar Delta.
It's a fully hollow tube, with the back section removed and two gnarly teeth. It allows for threading onto clothes as it is a tube. It can be worn very discreetly.
I just wanna know how you get your handcuffed hands from behind your back into one pocket to fish among your loose change and find the handcuff key, punch it out, and use it while still handcuffed....?
Don't waste your money on travelers hook. You can buy the exact style tool from harbor freight for $.99 plus it comes with 3 other profiles and has lifetime warranty. And you can find the same set of what are referred to as picks that are long by other manufacturers for less than sparrows price and you'll get other profiles
I visited a brewery in Germany that sells its bottles with a reusable bottle cap on it (Flensburger, but there are many brands with the plop). These have rubber rings and the tour guide said that farmers sometimes use the rubber rings to castrate their sheep. So ... if you can use the rubber rings to castrate sheep, it probably is also pretty good as a pump rubber ring as well ;D Its only 70 cents and you get a beer with it. Pretty good deal.
Fun stuff! I like it, especially for the price it's sold at. Guess once the pandemic is over I need to go on a vacation in a country Sparrows ships to... IIRC LockNoob had his hand in designing the newer version of the chaos card.
Yeah the little handcuff key works, but what about the little Allen key secondary lock that pretty much all handcuffs have nowadays? The cops use em too, believe me when I tell ya!
cool set bill. but the elephant in the room is that the S&W handcuff key is a proprietary key. and wouldn’t fit the most common cuffs on the market, peerless cuffs! just saying bill!
I have sparrows 2 tiny picks and a handcuff key in my wallet, I get bored easily and ask to pick locks. Friends and family get a good understanding of the futile feeling of security when I pick there deadbolt and door lock in less than a minute. Ive sold a bunch Kwikset Smart key systems stating there minimum decent security for local hardware suppliers
"If you have a little brother"... well, i got three of them, and i doubt that their wifes is crazy about the prospekt of finding me aplying the little rubber rings onto my brothers.... i have given them pic sets for gifts but they refuse to use them or learn to, so guess who they are calling when a lock needs to be opened were the key is gon, sorta. I will order this set, if i don't win. But throw in the pocketchange if i do!
The traveler is actually a part of a traditional loom for weaving. I’d surmise that’s the origin of its name. You always need a hook when you’re weaving
1:40 _Nope!_ Sparrows is selling the hooks for $12.50 _each._ I'm a huge fan of Sparrows, but $12.50 for a tool you can get for under $5 is absolutely ridiculous.
is Bosnian Billy from Bosnia? it must be there, where he learned his Lockpicking Skills in an awesome Secret Lockpicking Society in Bosnia, i'm heading There! 😎👍
Would love to try and pick your new patient, how much would one cost for you to build and ship out? I would also agree to sign a contract for not leaking or posting content of mechanical aspects?
@@batmansgta its a quick survival handy dandy kit, its not meant to be the same card over and over again after you use it for emergency get a cheap tin or somethign and have them around as a cheap traveling picks/survival kit or whatever its gonna be used for.
I think the handcuff key is for when your GF leaves the house with the key when you play unfairly. Hopefully, she handcuffed you in front! Not to your ankles!
It is called a Traveler's hook because it is used in weaving to hook a "traveler" which moves one of the threads back and forth.

I was going to enter for the giveaway but not including the pocket change is a deal breaker.
Emphatically seconded.
I know, right?
The traveller is an oring pick in the automotive world
I carry a credit card sized fresnel lens that works for fire. Would fit in with these tools for sure!

Great to see Sparrows coming out with some new stuff. Especially the long traveler's hook.
You did really good not getting your face with that mirror.
Only took twenty takes. 😆
Congrats on retirement, I hope you find it fulfilling and relaxing. Your legacy in this community will carry on through all of us.
Thank you Bill 😊

Neat stuff, The short pick can also be used for replacing pull ropes on lawn mowers.

I’ve seen some that press on like a shoelace aglet, very hard to notice unless you’re looking for it.
Aww, not even one of the dimes?!
The orange handled "travelers hook" is an auto supply tool used to hook and remove o-rings from engine cylinders.
Hi, Bill. The intro was beautiful! It is the one that fills with liquid. Great. Thanks for showing of the new gear. Thanks for sharing! Stay healthy!

Still waiting for someone to give me a rational, real world example of when I would need, and be able to use, a handcuff key.
Bar bets - or stag do.
But....
Mostly bar bets 🤣
Awesome vid cool new stuff and good to see that there still trying to perfect the classics
Those travelers hooks are also sold for use as other tools. “Cotter pin puller” and “ hot air welding seam probe” come to mind.
If you have a little brother... I lost it. lol
Lol
Bill has ALL the cool toys...
I love the baby handcuff key.

Pretty good stuff. Great looking out, always letting everyone know about all the newest at greatest.
gotta say, sparrow really got a lot of neat stuff

Pretty cool giveaway. Great review and video as always thanks Bill!
I think both of those ends are actually warded picks
Cool stuff from Sparrows, and great review Bill!
that loose change could buy me a city in Canada.
Thanks for showing all their new stuff, I'm definitely getting my hands on the wallet and cards 👍
Thank you for everything you've done, and continue to do. Happy retirement, Bill. Enjoy it, im sure you deserve it.
Traveler's hook love to Deviant Ollam for the OG

Hey Bill. Just wanted to say happy retirement. And I wanted to let you know you got me into lock picking.
Hi,
Love your video reviews.....
I have that first chaos card in my aviator wallet. Put the handcuff key in the coin tray. Perfect. Now May add the other one lol
Funny. Everything but my loose change is the give-a-way.
The traveler hooks are $12.50 each not $12.50 for both.
They only charged me $12.50 for the pair.

You are appreciated
How well does that hand cuff key work if they are double locked I wonder?

My screwdriver set came with hooks like that.
They forgot to add some washer(s) in the bag of castration rings, to protect the ring from being broken during bumping
At first I thought the long traveler's hook was for a super deep door.
🤣
I keep a smith and wesson key mixed into my regular set of keys i carry

i'd love to see this new sparrows stuff in a survival game. would be so cool
I’d like to know where I can buy your sparrow picks. Please respond!
1:09 Door fitment issue..... srew a plate over the latch, jobs a good'un! 🤦
If you want some lock, buy Master No5 which is now even tougher.
Are these picks stainless steel/magnetic 301?
The handcuff key is too small for some cuffs due to their black plastic covers.
The traveler is actually a part of a traditional loom for weaving. I’d surmise that’s the origin of its name. You always need a hook when you’re weaving

Funny that the US still use handcuffs with such a crappy lock 😳
I’ve seen these same style handcuffs used around the world.

damn, i was really hoping i could win that pocket change
I got to buy this stuff.
The hook is a o-ring tool
Bill, from all the lockpicking items you carry in your wallet - theres no room for cash bills 🤣🤣
Can see why you might need the handcuff key if you're carrying that setup. Probably need to call lockpick lawyer after 😄

damn that price on the traveler's is per piece now not as a set. Set cost 25$.
