Crunchy Watermelon Tanghulu Easy Recipe

This week's Recipe - Watermelon tanghulu
Recipe -
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
cubed watermelon
My first time tanghulu-ing, and I think it turned out great. However, one thing to note is that any fruit with a wet surface is either impossible or very difficult to use to make tanghulu.
What should I tanghulu next?
