My African Dwarf Frogs had babies and there so tiny and I see them swimming around. I'm not sure if the all going too make it but we'll see. Um what too feed and how often there so, so tiny.
What kind of tank separator did you use? Or did you just put them in their own tank? I have some ADFs that have been mating and I want to make sure I’m prepared! Lol 😅
I had three tanks, main one with the adult frogs and a plastic breeder box for the frogs that survived, survival rate is super low, but too small to enter general population. Another small tank with a mesh breeder box for the eggs, so they didn’t get sucked up by the filter and last small tank with another plastic breeder box when they start arms and legs but not yet full frog. The need to be separated by size or they’ll end up eating anything smaller than them. I have another video that shows the three set ups ☺️ ua-cam.com/video/dHfnviNM-A4/v-deo.html
I used aquatic dwarf frog pellets and ground them into a powder so it would float and they could easily skim the top of the water. Once they get legs/arms then the can eat brine shrimp that sinks as they can get to the bottom easier. They’re kept in a small breeder box though until full grown so they don’t have to travel too far down to get the baby brine shrimp when they can finally make it down to the bottom of the breeder box.
Congrats! Keep the tank super clean, low water flow, ideally a double sponge filter works best. Offer a variety of foods, but not too much or they’ll be overweight. Feel free to ask any questions!
Thanks because my two frogs turn out the be male and female and I have unexpected eggs. What do you suggest on feeding the tadpoles. Can I feed them crushed up fish flakes and fish granules or do they need something vegetable based?
Emily Stuchbury yes I crushed up the fish pellet food into a powder once they were ready to eat. Which isn’t until they start swimming :) I might have other videos explaining some of the breeding process so have a look! Good luck!
Emily Stuchbury -for sure. Not many make it to adult froghood! Even when you think everything is alright, for no reason, they pass. If you have Facebook, join some groups for African dwarf frogs. They’re so helpful. Might even see some of my videos I posted. I used to breed these guys and sell them to Big Al’s Aquarium. 🐸
Susan Novotny yes they do once they start swimming. There’s another video I did that shows a condensed version on how to raise them. I crush some of the adult frog pellet food into a powder so it floats and they eat like fish do bu skimming the top. Once they are older they spend most of their time eating from the bottom of the tank (frozen mysis, frozen brine, pellets, all rotated with lots of other food options as well).
Awwww. I want some baby African dwarf frogs. I’ll be sure to check out your other videos. Thanks for sharing!
My little pair finally did the deed so I spent a while moving eggs! Your camera is incredible! Thanks for sharing!
my frogs i got two days ago from my husbands mom laid eggs and i pulled them to a different tank and now i’m learning about hatching them 😂
Good luck!! Have fun!!

Hello hi I have a dwarf frog pair that I’m hoping to breed what and how do you get yours to breed
Wooow, you can see the zygote begn to divide. Thanks for sharing! I am looking forward to mine giving me eggs, they are ready!
That's where I am right now. About a hundred eggs floating on the surface. Now what?
Check out one of my other videos on the different stages for growth. You’ll need a few supplies if you want to try and raise them. :)
I can't tell if I've seen the eggs or not yet cuz I have snails 2 so idk how obvious the difference should be or how hard to see the eggs should be
Sad to watch this when my adf just died
Aw I’m sorry to hear that.
Amazing! That is so cool!
How long does it take
They are little hovering aliens. Freaky looking.
Wow, cute! But, I see something wrong.
Blue gravel..? I suggest changing 🌌
I love frogs. They look so cute as babies
Hi I’m looking for Dwarf Frog tadpoles and do you know any website that sells them?
No, sorry. I purchased mine at Big Al’s aquarium. They were hard to find.

do you know what it means when the eggs are kind of bean shaped and brown?
Sounds like they’re developing, maybe? Hard to say exactly without seeing
What do you feed them when they first hatch out ??
I grind African dwarf frog pellet food into a very fine powder and then use the smallest amount which floats for them to graze on
@@frogvlog5312 Thank you so much! I was hoping someone asked this question ❤

Algorithm brought me here
Lol, glad you stopped by!
Just got mine any tips?

What were you feeding them
They get fed crushed tadpole and frog pellets. It’s a commercial food. It needs to be crushed into a powder for them.
question. how big are the eggs
They’re pretty small. Tip of a pencil or so? Hard to see but they usually float.
@@frogvlog5312 damn they are small
What do you do when the babies grow up?
When they get full grown the first thing I always do is heat up some vegetable oil in a pot on the stove.
@@EricJones-yt7xf Bahahaha!
Do you keep them in the tank with the parents?
Emily Stuchbury no, they have to be separated by size, even as the tadpoles grow or they’ll eat eat other :/

Thanks I'll let you know how many survive after this apparently they're not the easiest to care for
