The improvement in low light is down to the compression in post, that rescale is averaging out the noise a little. The f-number stays the same, so there's no gain there. The camera will still be water proof, so if you did get caught in the rain, you might have problems with the Skyreat lens, but the camera will be fine.

Gave the night a run for the money, looked awesome the blue gave it a real true look , enjoyed the cuts and. Scenes of the tools clashing as well. Great tunes too.
Steve excellent editing and demo of the lens. Certainly does add some cinematic effects to a video. You reminded me I need to do some lawn mower maintenance as well LOL
Then it is water proof with the original lens. I am assuming that skyreat says that so they are not liable for wet gopros. Switching lens in no way damages the gopro. Just switch back to the original and you will be ok.

I used these lens first time 4k settings in linear mode. I am getting black shadows appearing left and right sides. Anymore know what is happening please? I believe I have the wrong settings somewhere.
I definitely could of done it differently but I only hit the outer ring with light hits never hit the bearing in the center. Thanks so much for watching.
@@SteveWB Yeah, I was just kidding (mostly!). I ordered a Hero 10 with 1 year subscription last night for $349.00. Watching lots of videos on it now. My last Gopro was a Session 5, so some pretty big improvements!

Some complain that it is soft on the edges but I really like this lens!

What setting would you use in Final Cut Pro to "de-squeeze"...I don't recall seeing any control that would do that?

You may have to turn the hypersmooth down or put it in narrow. You are getting vignetting.
