"Its Wib, the guy who paints warhammer" And apparently is actually an Ork at heart with all these damn fine convertion/kitbashes. Ork theory being "If we kan fink of it, we can buildz it" and feel like you're the same Wib
That Skink archer is from the 5th edition WHFB starterbox, it had Lizardmen vs. Bretonnians. I still have a bunch of unpainted Bretonnian archers from that set because they also came with the beginner set of paints. Fun fact, 5th edition ran from 1996 to 2000 so that Skink is probably old enough to drink even in the U.S.
It's the plastic one yes? cause I got same sculpt but in metal, that one is a bit older (Also I got one of those archers too, nice lad sits in my saga warband with empire men)
Oh my god that Rhino is so adorable I just want to hug it and pet it and feed some epic-sized fuel barrels to it! Wook at the wittwe impewiaw fist icon awnd the tiny weapons! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaw! So cute I got nurgle-diabetes. :D
Wib's so lovely and polite that moments like 5:40 really catch me off guard, still can't get over Wib cursing the carpet (as we all have done) that was bloody hilarious
I can't recall how many Epic Rhinos I have painted. Dunno why, but 2nd Ed Epic just spoke to me - I could not resist buying all of it. Most standard marine companies consist of ten Rhinos (3 detachments of 3 with a command vehicle) accompanied by 18 stands of marines and a commander. And I have many companies. The Imperial Guard (read: Astra Militarum) used to use them for its HQ units as well, and the Blood Axe clan would ride around in looted Rhinos too. And then there are the 30+ Land Raiders too. Not to mention my 5 squadrons of Warlord Titans (so 15 Titans). I still love epic...
Thanks, I needed this video today. I have been looking forward to the next painting log entry and I love everything about it. I cannot express how much I love your approach to Gretchin-ifying the Ork units and your ingenuity. The "Lootas" are absolutely amazing, as are the "Big Mek" and "Shokk Attack Gun". I am very much looking forward to the next episode. Hope you're well, stay safe!
Thank you for being so inspiring in these dark times. Also I believe that that Skink is from the original Lizardmen release back when Skinks were metal in 1997 or thereabouts.
I just saw a 30k video where they used Epic Land Raiders as the base of servo-automata for a Techmarine. I might have to try and find some now, I'm feeling inspired
I had no idea you had your own channel, but holy shit, to discover it with an opening of "Life is Beautiful" from Deadly Premonition...100 respect points, sir
I've, um, not finished anything since furlough started. I'm kind of doing Snipe's thing of "Bored of painting this, going to paint something else now". And then I ran out of Wraith Bone spray. And then a new XCOM game came out. I could make a quick comeback by just basing an intercessor sergeant though... Your grots look great though, I especially like the creative use of ork jawbones on some of them! And that Runtbot is **adorable!**
Ive been spending my hobbytime in quarantine mostly with some old kitbashes I had lying around but never actually came around to painting. I painted up an imperial guard salamander command vehicle and am now working on a highly heretical skavenified leman russ with a warp lightning cannon as its main cannon
I have so far started painting on a few models and actually finished none of them. I did finally get round to applying transfers to models I painted last year. I know you aren't the biggest fan of transfers but I have a Deathwatch army and freehanding several different chapter icons is beyond my skill level. 😂
I should start painting my 25 lizardman backlog. I was planning to play them as a Tau force, except Kroot only. They may need conversions, but I have bits for days. Now that I think about it, they could even be Inquisition acolytes from the Ordo Xenos... Hmm..
If you're hurting for primer, then Krylon and Rustoleum spray paint work just as well. They're not perfect, but they get the job done, you find them at any hardware store, and they don't cost $20 dollars a can :D
wib im starting painting warhammer 40k miniatures and i love your marine succesors chapter you wouldnt mind if i use your unit emblem in one of me deatchwatch model?
I... finished touches on a Master of Executions who was mostly done. I've been procrastinating admittedly. This month I might see if I can make and finish a Keeper of Secrets.
Every time I watch these painting vlogs, I always want to make a start on actually finishing my own minis, and yet, I can never find the motivation. Any suggestions on how to overcome the motivation block? Also, these minis look fantastic as usual. The army is coming along very nicely my friend. 🙂
I'd say it's important to first find out where the block is coming from. If you feel it to be tedious to finish models you could try using small steps and not whole squads at once. You can stretch it out over some days so you don't have long sessions. If you find the task to difficult (like painting a big model, an imperial knight for example) you could do some smaller things first like infantry to get in the mood or gain confidence. If you feel that your paintjob isn't good enough remember that you probably aren't painting to impress. Take it easy and try getting to a quality you enjoy or are atleast ok with. Over time you will improve and if necessary you can repaint the older models again. Hope that helps with your issue
Finish one model. Then merely consider finishing another. Don't think you absolutely have to finish them all at once. Just finish one, and that will be enough.
2020 painted 0 bought 34. Does I bought many of these sprues for components as opposed to simply building and painting work as a defence. Also got distracted by starting to scratch build a grav-limo for some genestealer cult folk to cruise around in. So I'm acquiring yet more Mini's to paint without actually buying anything.
If you want some more gorkamorka grot specific stuff, try looking on facebook gorkamorka fan page. There should be some people selling grots and digga over there
Am I the only one who thinks those Rogue Trader era Dreadnoughts look like they're wearing great big diapers? I mean, if you're a severely wounded space marine encased in an armoured life support system, a bit of incontinence is kind of understandable...
In universe reason? They just do (although it's a darker red than ours). Real world reason? It was originally green but they changed it to red since the green blood didn't show up well on the green skin when you painted it.
The lore reason I think is that the particular fungal stuff that makes them green is only present I in their skin, not their blood. But as Wib days, is mainly because red blood contrasts well with their green skin. Also if you stained their trousers with green blood it would just look like they'd wet themselves!

They gave away a couple of those plastic skinks on the cover of White Dwarf 202. Strangely found that issue in my parent's loft yesterday...
I helped paint 1000's of plastic skinks for that gamesday96 display of lizardmen laying siege to a bretonnian castle from the beach.
These videos are so underrated
They’re very soothing
@@lemonnomel9416 and quite funny.
6:33 -- Vassily Zaytzog? (as seen in _Enemy at the Gitz_ )
Epic Rhino is adorable.
Honestly, I think that Epic tank came out just fine, even with the "unfortunate lighting".
Mr. Wib, all these kitbashes… I'm afraid you've contracted what we in the medical field refer to as "Kirioth's Syndrome"…
Loooool
I love your kitbashes! Half the fun of playing Orks is the WYSWYG rules!
Really looking forward to the next installment, like in a way that seems rather healthy. Then again, there's probably a good reason for that.
Always enjoyable, Wib. Well done.
Wib's so lovely and polite that moments like 5:40 really catch me off guard, still can't get over Wib cursing the carpet (as we all have done) that was bloody hilarious
Beautiful grot revolution conversions!
Well I, uh....finished my Lieutnant and that Deredeo-Dreadnought I got *just* before Quarantine started.
Progress is progress, even if it's 2 models :)
I still haven't finished a Dwarf Thunderer I began painting in… er, what year was Warhammer Quest released in..? The _original_ ..?
Some of those conversations, the Runtbot in particular, are strangely adorable :) .
The mini you made out of a paint pot is probably my favourite thing now. I gotta make my own
Lot of clever modifications and conversions in this one. Would be interesting to see takes on larger models in the future!
That's very nice, I like it a lot. Keep up the great work and stay safe.
Great video! Halfords have really great primers by the way and are still open.
Wib I'd absolutely love to see a conversion video! Especially on the Runtbot, but anything will do. Cheers
Wib! Wib! Wib! Wib! Wib, Grot master supreme!
These are all so great!

Excellent video 👍👍
I am so inspired to get back to my fully converted darkmech army now! This is a great series so keep it up!
Everything is better with fun hats!

Well they look flippin' awesome!
Thank you for being so inspiring in these dark times.

Great to see a classic Gorkamorka Cutta. Didn't know grots had mini stompas. I really need to get a hold of rogue trader. So many gems :)
Fantastic as ever
Love what you have done with the Grots Wib. Look forward to seeing more.
Poundshop is open and has black. white and grey primer rattle cans. Work fine.
Looking good Wib! Staying safe, getting back into painting minis
Wib, i love your Gobo Models, in my opinion the best Work i've seen from you. Thanks for the inspiration
Those grot conversions are so cool, making me want to make some stuff for my orks.
Wow awesome work dude! Those grots look succulent!
I just saw a 30k video where they used Epic Land Raiders as the base of servo-automata for a Techmarine. I might have to try and find some now, I'm feeling inspired
I hope you show your Grot army when it is finished.
My intrest in creating wondrous ork conversion came from your Ork army video from a few years back
Hello wib, the man on the internet that paints miniatures (mainly goblins).
Great inspiration, just finished painting a few grots. one with a custimized ak47 and another w/ a flamer. Lovely lil buggers
I had no idea you had your own channel, but holy shit, to discover it with an opening of "Life is Beautiful" from Deadly Premonition...100 respect points, sir

That runtbot is so adorable
I had no idea you had a similar Russian ork scheme! Always love seeing a fellow prophet of the UWAAAAAGH!!!!
Ive been spending my hobbytime in quarantine mostly with some old kitbashes I had lying around but never actually came around to painting. I painted up an imperial guard salamander command vehicle and am now working on a highly heretical skavenified leman russ with a warp lightning cannon as its main cannon
If you don’t want to chop up old models you could buy the cyclops drone off forge world
Your runt bot is so cute and I love it, it looks so fucking good great job man!
nice painted stuff
I have so far started painting on a few models and actually finished none of them. I did finally get round to applying transfers to models I painted last year. I know you aren't the biggest fan of transfers but I have a Deathwatch army and freehanding several different chapter icons is beyond my skill level. 😂

I love the runt bot!
I actually have that skink still on the sprew. It is marked GW 1996, which I assume means it's from then.
I should start painting my 25 lizardman backlog. I was planning to play them as a Tau force, except Kroot only. They may need conversions, but I have bits for days. Now that I think about it, they could even be Inquisition acolytes from the Ordo Xenos... Hmm..

Wib painted so many goblins that half his face is turning into one!
Given the amount of detail on each model, you shouldn't worry that it was grotz you painted.
I've been waiting for this video! Thanks Wib!
Wib, thanks a lot man! Taken some inspirational pics for the russian grot rebellion you inspired me to do.
wib im starting painting warhammer 40k miniatures and i love your marine succesors chapter you wouldnt mind if i use your unit emblem in one of me deatchwatch model?
It would be interesting to see wib's chapter fighting snip's space wolf
All great stuff, but I especially loved your cyber-grot at 4:11. I don't know what you've named him but to me he'll always be Davros.
Hey, not Warhammer related, but your hair looks really nice in this vid. Nice work!
WHY DID I NOT KNOW YOU HAVE ANOTHER CHANNEL??
Brb, watching all your other vids.
I require the knowledge of how you do the grots skin.
If you're interested here's a pretty cool tutorial for different shades of greenskin

I'm in debt when it comes to painted vs. bought... a year of debt... it only took said year to choose a chapter to paint all of my marines.
I... finished touches on a Master of Executions who was mostly done. I've been procrastinating admittedly. This month I might see if I can make and finish a Keeper of Secrets.

Finish one model. Then merely consider finishing another. Don't think you absolutely have to finish them all at once. Just finish one, and that will be enough.
Is it easy for you to start painting again? Or is your desk untidy or used for other things?
2020 painted 0 bought 34. Does I bought many of these sprues for components as opposed to simply building and painting work as a defence. Also got distracted by starting to scratch build a grav-limo for some genestealer cult folk to cruise around in. So I'm acquiring yet more Mini's to paint without actually buying anything.
I painted up 3 space marine scouts and an Intercessor for my kill team which finished off my project 😁
I have a cousin who played in the eighties that lizard is from 86 I think
Papa painting internet man is back.
Does "THE A TEAM" Music play when the Greenskins build stuff. It should.
I’m not so sure I want to know how #18 ended up that way, especially after seeing the “medic” still, neat model
Wib returns!
does anyone else see the resemblance between the spanner conversion and the Doom Hunter from DOOM Eternal?
Fair enough to have an orc plasma gun on a conversion, field repairs!
Skink looks like one from the lizardmen vs britonia box set from like '96ish
Pretty sure the skink came free with White Dwarf in about 1996
Win is aliiiiive
If you want some more gorkamorka grot specific stuff, try looking on facebook gorkamorka fan page. There should be some people selling grots and digga over there
After watching this I decided to go on eBay and buy some epic space marines
I feel bad because I painted less models then wib in this time but I am somewhat running out of minis...
you make me want to make a grot revolushun
How odd, i also painted a load of grots it the same time frame, 20 bad moon grot and their runtherd
From the front, it looks like the dreadnaught has a soviet hat.
Comrade нет страх.
Wib, Those Land Raiders are facing the wrong way bud. The drive axle goes in the front. Other then that they look great!
NOICE
The north in me relishes that Ay oop
Luv me missus
Luv footy
Luv Wib sayin 'Aye oop'
Simple as.
I haven't painted any models since the lockdown. I don't feel inspired to finish them because I don't have any games to look forward to
i want to see grot army battle report
Am I the only one who thinks those Rogue Trader era Dreadnoughts look like they're wearing great big diapers?
I mean, if you're a severely wounded space marine encased in an armoured life support system, a bit of incontinence is kind of understandable...
6:56 where's the goblin twitch streamer we were promised?
Goblin overdose alert!
2:47 DIGGANOBS?
Where can I send mail so I can send some spare blood angel parts?
WE NEED MORE GOBLINS
0:20 *Goblin Slayer happiness noises*
Y do Orks have red blood?
In universe reason? They just do (although it's a darker red than ours). Real world reason? It was originally green but they changed it to red since the green blood didn't show up well on the green skin when you painted it.

In finished one of my termies for my deathwatch :D
And also what’s the music at the end of the video?
