Lyrics:
We all need the human touch
We all need the human touch
I need it the human touch
We all need the human touch
We all need it, and I need it too
A song released in 1983..with the video setting taking place in 2016... while listening to the song in 2024...God I miss the 80's!!! ❤
Hello, how are you doing today? Thanks for your love and support💖
Their I the human touch whake it happen 💪💪💪🥳. 3:05
RICK is asking questions to Sally ( Siri ) but the things get weird in the video "human touch' when he is dancing with the girl and there is a sinister robotic and demonic voice in the bakckground saying: I am controller, and i want to touch and seize you and make you mine" it may refer that the human race is human farm for the sinister beings who control the world .Rick might know something that we ignore.
All those “ future videos” set in the year ?? …. And they are all now past history. LOVE IT
They didn’t even get a chance to populate the human race
Me good
Just wanna say, I saw Rick Springfield last night in concert. 🥰 I got to touch him as he was singing this song. I human touched him. 🤷♀️ Appropriately. 🤣
Omg, so did I!!! Davenport IA?

Seriously underrated. Springfield doesn't get the respect he deserves.
+MechanicalAnimal ikr. just why
+MechanicalAnimal because he *Shatner's* all his videos
So True!
they called him Bruce
MechanicalAnimal Bruce Springsteen also did a song called human touch.
Weird how the song talks about everyone being addicted to their electronics and not having the "human touch". It's like a prophecy song for today!
Yeah, that's what makes this better sci-fi than "Star Trek into Darkness".
Brian Bachelder your right, the future of what the elite are planning are told through television, music, movies. But most cannot see this happening. We are moving toward a one world order and people seem to love their servitude. I hope they all wake up to see that our minds are the hardest prison to escape. Those in power think we are to weak to make our own decisions. Why do you think the gap between the rich and poor is so wide in 2017? They want complete control of your lives and people are unwillingly giving them to those that control us without a fight.
Genius right.. that’s what I thought, too..
Indeed.

My friend and me were both metal heads in the 80's but we both loved Rick Springfield's music. I still love it to today. His music was just so classic.
Same with me and still a metal head and still love me some Rick
Same. Much of his music defined the 80s.
Thanks for your sincere compliment, where are you watching from🎻🎻
Him and Loverboy🙃
My friend and I
"im so scared and isolated in the modern world" even more true in 2020 than in 1983
Read the bible and trust in the Lord Jesus .he loves you and died for your sins.
We also need it more than ever cause the electile dysfunction experienced in Nov in 2020.
Right? Who knew Rick Springfield was psychic? LOL
The date on the computer said 2016 lol. Who knew it would be prophetic
@@davidblattner2777 no, that was what we experienced in 2016, the problem was cured in 2020.
Who else loves going down an 80s music rabbit hole? 👍👍👍👍
Why not ?!, when we had amazing trax like this !!
80s rock, the best!
I wanna go back…
What rabbit hole? Listening to anything after is a shitty rabbit hole you wanna stay out of.
People need to stop worrying about the year something came out and calling that a genre…pop or not
Southern rockers r listening 😁🎧 and 👍😊 going down 😜👎 that rabbit hole 🕳️⛳🕳️⛳
Greetings from the future and the coast of Mississippi. 1983 is when this video came out. Yet it is set in 2016. I waited decades for that year and now we have surpassed it. Rick is one of my favourite 80's singers....from his General Hospital days to present ❤😂🎉
My favorite Rick Springfield song. In the video, he asks Sally what year it is. She responds that it's 2016 (33 years after the song was released). The lyrics are even more meaningful in 2022. (Edited)
33 years after it's release. The song is from 1983
I wonder what Rick thinks of life in 2023,40 years after this song??? And, can we talk about how prophetic the lyrics are? And how now everyone has a computer in their hand more powerful than the first Mac? Or IBM original PC? That phone in your hand right now, as you watch videos in the bathroom by yourself is more powerful than anything dreamt of in 1983. Where most homes didn't even have 1 computer.
@@TherealMrsCothrine now, we have virtual machines, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, etc. I’m working on my degree in Network Administration and cybersecurity, so I get a front row seat for the latest technology.
@grege9019 not sure your source buy mine still say 83 and I remember being 13 and Affair of the Heart being the other single and video from Living in Oz
@TherealMrsCothrine yep and we take it for granted. And what you said is definitely something to ponder. 😊
Probably favorite song from springfield
This song is actually ahead of it's time.
so true..and even more poignant today than back then
It’s actually within its own time. People have been imagining future worlds for centuries. There was a lot of concern over nuclear war in the 1980’s. I was there! 😉
#AbsoluteTruth 💯
To understand what you're mind is capable of he really has the lyrics in his music 🎶 we all need the human touch. 🤔👍💜
It's happening now scared and isolated alone in the modern world.
We all do need it!! More 80's music please!!!!!
2016?? Who's listening in 2024??
The far off future of 8 years ago.

A song that seems more relevant now then it has when it came out.
Yeah, PC's weren't common at all when this came out. It was 20 years ahead of it's time and keeps getting more relevant.
Prophetic
The computer said the year 2016.. Close enough!
@Pablo D. Martinez How so?
GTA Vice city stories brought me to this magnificent masterpiece. Please don't let this song die!
a mi tambien :)
Its still a amazing song after 33 years.
Hello, how are you doing today? Thanks for your love and support❤️🎵
This song was a message to the future from the past ahead of its time....
I love 80s music videos.
Happy 2016 A.D. ;) Now, let's start dressing like that and using ancient CRT monitors.
+JPMcFly1985Two like Rotary phones and how the Cassette tapes will be a technology that'll last for decades!
Rotary phones were already old by the late 80s (my earliest memories), but actually cassettes DID last a pretty long time! Like until the mid or late 2000s, esp blank tapes.
+JPMcFly1985Two And Commodore 64 as keyboards!
+JPMcFly1985Two ;)
It's funny...I saw this video only ONCE when I was a little kid at the skating rink. Never saw it again until this very moment in 2016.
Rick gave a whole new meaning to a sexy mullet in the 80's... perfect everything! He ages like fine wine, he's so beautiful
In 2024 A.I. got me feeling isolated and alone in a modern world, thank goodness I’m an 80s kid.
Thanks for being an amazing fan over the years, Thank you so much I LOVE YOU.
Brings back such good memories. Sure do miss the 80's. Life seemed so much easier.
To George varughese - I don't mean to spoil the dream - but if you're from the U.K., these were the Thatcher Years! So the times were great for music, but with Unemployment and hospital closures thrown in! Those times WERE good - if you kept "blinkers" on ( you know those shields they put over horses eyes in traffic, so they only see FORWARDS, and aren't scared by traffic to either side).
Best damn decade for music. EVER. No two ways about it. I feel sorry for kids who didn't experience it. I was born in 1966 so in January of 1980 I had just turned 13. Couldn't ask for a better time to live.
Please focus on the key word in the last sentence: "... seemed..." It's very much a matter of perspective. The decade had its pleasant parts, of course, but plenty of horrors, to go with it...
@@PerrinRynningExactly. Especially HIV/AIDS.
Rick is fabulous and he is such a talented artist! Fabulous!!! 🥰👍🏻☺️
When MTV was MTV! Remember?
Until “video killed the radio store” 😂😂😂😂
Hell yes I do! Heavy sigh.....🥺
Dayum that's the Rick Springfield that set 15 yr old Amy's heart a-flutter😍
I hear ya girl! From one Amy to another!!! 👍😊
The 80's were awesome, I wish I had a time machine I would go back to the 80's.
I'd go back in a heartbeat!❤
May I make that trip with u...long live the 80s❤
Got room for me?
Long live the 80s 110% right
Best decade ever
Good guy
C'mon Gurl....Sally it's now 2020!
My fave Rick Sringfield song!
Well, he predicted Siri (Sally) and people spending so much time at their computers that they don't interact
So true Sue!!
Yep - smart phones at breaktime and lunchtime at work instead of people talking! Walking forward with smart phones and not really watching where they are going. I have been on the phone a few times surfing the Internet when I was at a restaurant - I did because so many others do. Probably won't again.
Who would've know it back then but oh so true now right???
Technically, people who are on computers actually interact, there is a thing called Internet communications. It is the reason why online dating existed or co-operating during evaluation. Honestly, if it wasn't for the internet, I wouldn't get into history and geography, since books are expensive in my country.
Thanks for your sincere compliment and love, I’m not complete without you as my Fan 🌹🎻 I have you to be most thankful for 🎻🎻🌹
We all needed Rick.
This song and its message, no matter how campy, was ahead of its time. Happy New Year 2016 everyone.
The 80's were awesome, I wish I had a time machine I would go back to the 80's.
This song needs to make a come back in this modern age
Roller skating at the Great Skate in Regina Saskatchewan in 1983 to this song. Same year as Return of the Jedi, Wargames, Krull , Superman 3. What fun times...
Who knew Springfield was a prophet. This was written 30 something years before the 6ft apart social distancing covid rules. This should be the entire globes coming out of lockdown theme song 🤗
the saxophone alien is legendary
We are in the year 2016 A.D. and we need the human touch more than ever.
Best UA-cam comment ever, sir!
Then there was the Metoo Movement. So much for the human touch as the way we new it. Back in a time when Toxic Mascalenty was not a problem.
ok boomer
we still do, here in 2020 A.D.
Andrey Kusanagi No No 2020 is Coronavirus. No human touch for now

It is the year: 2016 A.D. Woot! I'm part of this video. I remember watching this back the the '80's when MTV still played music more than the crap is does now. Is MTV still on the air? :) Thanks for sharing.
I was just thinking this was two years ago.
this is music i dont care much for the stuff they have today especially the movies they want to release now a days are just cash grabs
Ray Brundridge ya MTV IS still on the air. They just play crap about Teen Mom’s! Great role model of a channel. I love when the girls aren’t even 22 and have 3 kids! WTF??? The 80’s rule!!!!
yeah they still have it, its too bad i wasn't able to experience any of the cool stuff of the 80s but theres always make do with whatever i have now its still a really cool time to be alive
Ray Brundridge yeah-back when it was really about the music and not that reality bullshit...We need a network that focuses on that.
“Everybody’s talking to computers…” This song seems prophetic. Remember when it came out? People actually talked face-to-face to each other back then. Studies have shown that even though people are connected electronically in the digital age, people feel more alienated than ever. It seems we do need the human touch, maybe more than ever.
Remember when men and women connected in person rather than fishing through endless profiles on online dating sites? Remember when people had real friends instead of Facebook friends? I sometimes long for those days. Does anyone else?
wow he predicted Zoom,Skype, and all their kind. This guy saw the future for sure.
The lyrics seem more and more appropriate in these modern days.
Thanks for the compliments, its not as easy as the world think it is.Die hard fans
like you are the reason why we keep moving.
Him & Corey Hart was my first concert I'd ever been to back in '84. Loved it!
This beautiful song is now more relevant than ever🤖😊
Hard to believe it's been 32 years now....
Good God I love Rick Springfield. I'm a straight guy and I don't care. His hooks are amazing. LOL.....
Was a teen when this came out (my lanta, what a dreamboat he was!) bought the album. Remember it being a very "new" sound for Rick compared to his earlier stuff. But I hadn't listened to it in all these years since... but the lyrics were running through my head today in August of 2021... how fitting! As a society, we're so connected that we're disconnected...
I love how much of a nerd Rick Springfield is, and still manages to be cool at the same time! Watching him in "Nick Knight" and "Human Target", knowing those were the shows he chose to act in, proved it wasn't just the music video producers choosing sci-fi videos for him, he's One Of Us!
As an old fart who was in high school in the 80's I remember this video from back then.
Same.
Me too! However, my 80 plus year old Dad is an old fart. Not me ! 😀
I was out of college when this appeared...
It was released like Sept 1983. My final year in high school.
We aren't old, damn it!
Thank you

Hey Rick have you met Google and Siri. Seriously these days we are all talking to computers. Wish I was living in the 80s, what a time to be alive!

this should go viral
This should be the opening song of Guardians Of The Galaxy 2.
What a great idea probably for alot of movies now
One of the episodes in the animated series Is a homage to the song
Rick Springfield was rock star in 80's!!
He portrayed Noah Drake on General Hospital & performed television series Solid Gold from 1981 through 1984.
Played a great arrangement of that for the UAB GOLDEN GIRLS my freshman year during the 1983-84 season of UAB Basketball as part of the Blazer Band!
When I was about 9 years old, I prayed to God that I would marry Rick Springfield one day. Fast forward many years later, and I meet a man named Rodrikus. His nickname? Rick. 🤣🤣🤣
Everybody's talking to computers, they're all dancing to a MP3 machine.....................
2016 is not what I expected i'm going back to 1983
Ikr!! 😂
Nope, people still use drum machines. So they’re still dancing to them!
Pick me up I'm going too! Hehe 😂

loved the 80s music. rick is one of a kind
Wooow Cool spitze und super und toll ich mag das Lied das gefällt mir sehr gut und schön 👍🇩🇪👏👍👍👍👍👍👍
Rick said on his Working Class DJ show on Siriusxm that some singers in the 80s got the idea they could dance... when they couldn't. He included himself in that group. I'm kinda glad he didn't dance (much) in this video. His voice is more than enough.
Ok it's almost the year 2016 and I hope I can wake up and have Rick Springfield come to life in my living room and sing for me :)

Denny II actor Robert Rusler looked a little like him. 😂But you're right-doesn't get better.
Happy Thanksgiving 2021 who's old school like me
the 70's and 80's were awesome because singers had real talent and didn't need to cover there flaws up with smoke and lights and sound enhancements
So I heard this on season 2 episode 14 of [the one and only original] Knight Rider series today, about the 30 minute marker. Didn't recognize it so used Shazam which tried and somehow failed. Then I figured it out on my own.
All I can say is I love 80's music, but where has this song been all my life?! And the music vid? Totally rad! If only I had the music video on laserdisc, I'd add to my collection!
Please make more music like this. This music now just doesn't cut it!!
