I think people overlook that these guys had a great sense of humor. While they were amazingly talented musicians they had fun with it all. This is a rocking tune, but at it's heart....it's comic relief.Same with Jesus He Loves Me. Crazy to think this is the same guy that gave us the Tarzan soundtrack, that sick drum fill in “in the air tonight”, plus the song it’s self is pretty good, the greatest cover of the “can’t hurry love” by the supremes ever made, and of course, his best work: genesis. Phil Collins has so much range that if he made a metal band or started a rap career in 2022 and it was amazing none of us would be surprised

    Lyrics
    Hot sun beating down
Burning my feet just walking around.
    Hot sun making me sweat
'Gators getting close, hasn't got me yet
    I can't dance, I can't talk.
The only thing about me is the way I walk.
    I can't dance, I can't sing
I'm just standing here selling everything.
Blue jeans sitting on the beach,
Her dog's talking to me, but she's out of reach.
She's got a body under that shirt,
But all she wants to do is rub my face in the dirt.
    Cause, I can't dance, I can't talk.
The only thing about me is the way I walk.
    No, I can't dance, I can't sing
    I'm just standing here selling.
And checking everything is in place,
You never know who's looking on.
Young punk spilling beer on my shoes,
Fat guy's talking to me trying to steal my blues.
Thick smoke, see her smiling through.
I never thought so much could happen just shooting pool.
    But I can't dance, I can't talk.
The only thing about me is the way I walk.
    I can't dance, I can't sing
    I'm just standing here selling
And checking everything is in place

Josh Johnson You dont keep up with music do you? Phil Collins is finishing up the "not dead yet" tour. 2019 he is touring with his genesis band. Couple of new songs have already been recorded .

OML That Guy yes I do keep up with music. Phil Collins left Genesis in March 1996 to focus on his solo career. He formed the Phil Collins Big Band with himself on the drums. The band performed six jazz renditions of songs Genesis and his solo career. His sixth solo album Dance into the Light was released in October 1996. Now Phil Collins due to the fact a lot of people thought he was dead rejoined with Genesis and is now doing a tour for old times sake.

So iconic, and catchy, a track that'll get stuck in your head for years to come, and I can honestly say this. Truly one of a kind Genesis and Phil is. Legends.
