Nice video. Do you know if there is a way to perfectly synch audio recorded with this device to video recorded on a camera if the Sony PCM A10 is not connected to the camera when recording ? Thanks.

yes you can you would need to record from the computer and the mic and then sync it in FCPX

Is it possible to change the db levels? for example I’m trying to figure out how to set between-12 through -6 db, or is there an equivalent setting? Using it to record for my videos. If not then this is going back.

You cannot compare the build quality of these recorders without taking into account that the Zoom H1n is half the price of the Sony A-10.
I do own a Zoom H1n and indeed it feels like a cheap plastic, but I really like the functionality of it and the sound quality.

Unfortunately not. Any kind of live recording directly to any devices like cameras, PC is not supported

If you need to record a lecture, either put the recorder right on the lectern, or clip a lav microphone on the person and put the recorder in their pocket. The A-10 has a Bluetooth connected app used to control volume levels.

Absolutely I completely agree with you because I used to zoom and the sunny and I believe that the zoom is good for outdoor environment and Sony is good for recording ambient sounds plus if you were to do an interview I think Sony is quite nice

Increasing gain will make some difference. To change the gain, press up or down button (not volume button). I've been using this sony pcm a10, and i am quite satisfied.
