Good effort. You did a better job of it than I have been able to so far. Its always hard trying to learn new skills and get through that initial frustration when things dont turnout how you want them.

Awesome work. Would be cool if you painted same model, same color but slap chop. Would really show how the paint techique has improved over the years.

Yeah,a lot of people prefer the "oldhammer" style. I like it's more cartoony and simple.

Loved it. I’m in a really similar stage of my life right now, where I’m finally an adult with adult problems but also money and I feel this weird urge that men seem to get toward the middle of our lives where we desperately seek things from our childhoods to connect with. I’d like to see you brush those models up and give them a real paint job, like an honorable end to their legacies.

I'm sorry to see you have lost your sight! Not a bad effort for a blind man! Lol. Only joking. What a great video. I'm also looking forward to seeing you win the Eurovision waffling contest in the near future. Music instead of your inane ramblings? Never. Obviously your videos are obviously the best. That's s obvious to anyone who has obviously seen them. I just love your videos because you remind me of myself, and I don't just mean physically. Hated painting if it wasn't perfect, couldn't do it, didn't bother, a mountain of lead and plastic. Saw you, found the light, spent a shedload on speed paints, started speed painting, love it. You are now my cult leader. The only thing you have ever been wrong about is orks. Nasty little creatures. Thanks again for a great video. Time to party like it's 1989.

My hack for getting great edge highlights is to use an acrylic paint pen. You’ll want to get the fine tip versions, the normal tips are a bit unwieldy for most miniature painting purposes. If you want to do panel lines you can use a panel liner or a fine line ink pen. Fill it with your favourite acrylic ink and you’re good to go.

back in 1989 there was enamel paints and gw paints and craft paints and oil paints were used for washes that mix is dish liquid drop to watered down black or brown paint or oil paint black and brown and wipe away but you still should varnish it or spray paint was back then krylon basic black and white was still used by us painters that were artists and painted minis for selling on ebay lol or to friends...it wasnt called slapchop then that technique has been a round for many years with different names in the gaming world btw lol.... but ok... yeah love to see you do more non metallic metal but we even used sharpie markers back then ... so the cartoon method could still work as well as your slapchop method just learn some other techniques for after the basics edge highlights and shadow stuff can be a darker tint of a colour or wash and hun do what makes you happy ... chaos warrior can have his own class now dread warrior looks so different lol...

Typically I dont, I guess its because the miniatures arent handled that much so Ive never experienced paints coming off miniatures 🙂

I am averse to using spray paints or varnishes of any kind. I always mess up when I try to use them. To avoid them I looked on UA-cam and found that I can brush on Vallejo Matt Acrylic varnish. The guy in the video recommends 2 coats, which is what I do. It looks okay and is so easy to do. I slap it on it on and then use the same brush, which I wipe on a tissue to draw off any excess. It dries quickly and looks great. It looks good enough to me and doesn't dry shiny. IT dries quickly too, although I would suggest 24 hours between 1st and 2nd coats.
