When Ozzy, Alek and DJ rushed into danger to try and save the others, I cried like a baby. I was sad about Glenn and Abraham and some other shows but this is the first episode that I broke down and bawled.
Those highwaymen didn't even get to see the "movie" either.

I don't think there's any reason for Negan to join the fight. There's nothing that has happened to him that would make him want to fight back. next episode we'll see his reaction to what's going on when he's in the cabin with some of the group. but he'll probably do something because of Judith which will lead him down the same path as in the comics. but I don't see him killing Beta like in the comic, I think that kill will go to Carol. But I have a feeling Negan will play a big part in Beta's death since they obviously have to change that now that Jesus is no longer on the show. in the comic Beta is the last Whisperer left and he goes after both Jesus and Aaron. Jesus kills him. But now we know that Beta's death will have to be changed a lot.

I dont think they are gonna go that route . Comics negan was still buff af after the 2 year time skip and was still ready for the outside world . The show's negan couldnt handle 1 day out and is just not as strong as in the comics , but i would love to be wrong and find out that negan still has the edge to do what his other version did :D

But then again, I'm not really sure if everyone who got beheaded had already been kidnapped by that point or if it wasn't until after Alpha walked free

I think the shock is so different since we do not actually see them die, last time we saw them they were alive and well, and then just cut to their severed zombified heads, making the mind imagine how they died, which is so much more horrifying (my mind went straight to the scene where Alpha decapitated the subordinate and wondering if that is how they died, stomach turning). I did not think they would kill Enid, Tara, Tammy or the kids, Henry included, the highway men were a surprise given how newly introduced they were, but not as huge of a shock as the others
After two down seasons (especially season 8,) things were not looking good for The Walking Dead, but they managed to not only completely turn it around in one season, but produce the best season of the series in my opinion. Angela Kang has done an incredible job.
Agreed. I almost didn't even watch season 9. The show was almost dead to me and they truned it around brilliantly. And I thought Angela Kang would be a bad showrunner, so happy I was wrong.

I'm with you! I've liked all the seasons... and I've really been into the show once the crew got to Alexandria as I'm really interested in civilization rebuilding after the apocalypse.
To be fair, this is one of the more interesting parts of the comic. The ensuing war is underwhelming in the GN so maybe our main girl Angela can right that wrong as her creations (the Connie/Daryl/Dog dynamic and the highwaymen) were way better than things like the Heapsters in past seasons. I can't wait to watch either way!

Crazy episode, I wasn't ready for Henry to die. I know he isn't a fan favorite but I liked how his character was developing over time. Morgan gave him skill and courage, Carol and Ezekiel gave him a home and a loving family and now Lydia gave him a purpose. He might not have been a man yet but he was well on his way.
I know I'm late to the game lol but I'm watching the show now. I really don't get the Henry hate these guys had. I was enjoying his character. I guess to each their own.

Daryl holding Carol like in s2 really got me. I hope Connie and Daryl get together because there's a lot of chamestry. Seems like Daryl and Lydia will have a father/daughter dynamic. Alpha gave her daughter liberty but she made sure will not be happy.

If you payed attention, the guy with the fresher walker mask in the scene where the group gets surrounded, looks like he was wearing the blondes boyfriends face from the beginning of the episode.
So I'm thinking they should release a limited edition collector's pack of pez dispensers based on the pike lineup. I'd pay good money for it.

The scene that Alpha cries in, you can see whisperers picking up bodies in the background. Lovely bit of detail and foreshadowing.

It would be interesting to see how Negan would react to that. We don't really know what kind o f a relationship he had with his wives. Were they just pieces of meat to him or did he actually care for them. It'd be interesting to see if her death upsets him or not.

The whisperers infiltrated the fair by grabbing people from Hilltop and claiming they were from Alexandria (remember how no one there saw or really knew about the Whisperers because of the bad communication)
They didn't get them out of the fair as they were still on the property of the kingdom. That was one of the stables towards the back where they keep the horses and crap that had went out earlier. So it's easy remember the highway men said they would double back to the kingdom to monitor the area and that is what happened they found them in the back which is away from all the activity but not far from the grounds.
Winter is coming so i guess they’ll have to fight white walkers too!! Wtf!

That was Yumiko with Daryl, Carol and Michonne. And yes, Magna went with the other group, but it wasn't the group that was captured. It was random people within the walls of the fair and the outside help (DJ/Highwaymen). The redhead girl was named Frankie. One of Negan's wives that wanted help from Eugene when he was living with the Saviors.

To be honest, after Michone's vow to protect children and Carol losing yet another child, I think quite few people would be standing at the top of the stairs to let Negan out, including Daryl.

Somehow in 11 episodes, there is more character development and plot and action and amazing episodes than all of seasons 7 and 8

@WillFanofMany all I can recall from seasons 7 and especially 8 in terms of action was just guns firing at each other forever. No logic, suspense, or tension. The exceptions I felt were the finales though.
Cameron Joseph Videos because they were using guns. It’s MUCH harder to direct action scenes when guns are involved. Season 9 minor amounts of action was much easier to do since it was all meele weapons

That's not true though lmao. Rick, Negan, Rosita, Ezekiel, Eugene, Aaron, Daryl, Michonne... if you didn't see the character arcs they had, go back and rewatch those seasons. You're just saying that because you like to ride the bandwagon of hate for seasons 7 and 8. Season 9 only really gave amazing development to Daryl and Michonne (though it was their peaks). Also season 7 had the two best episodes of the whole show (the premiere and finale), and every episode in season 8 was epic and amazing, but that is up to your own interpretation. Season 9 is great, but not as good as 7 and 8, and people saying things like what you say are the reason why season 9 is overrated as fuck.

Let me break it down like this. What the highway men did at the end was the right thing to do but it was a stupid decision. It would of been "smart" for them to ignore the execution and deny even seeing the captured, but it also would've been wrong thing to do. Just like it would've been "smart" for Henry to let Alpha keep Lydia but it would've been wrong. So Henry made a stupid decision and did the right thing just like the highway men. Just like Sadique said, strangers fought for each other because it was right. Henry saved a stranger because it was right.
But if you wanna shit on Henry for that go ahead. I bet if Connie got captured. Y'all would be BEGGING for Daryl to risk it all and everyone to get her back tho

The writers did an excellent job of trolling comic book readers. Alpha beheads Ezekiel, Rosita and Luke in the comics. I spent the whole hour waiting for them to die.

That's true, if they had slaughtered Alpha right there in episode 11, Beta would have sent that huge walker herd and it would have killed literally everyone.
Anybody is justified to keep strangers out. That shouldn't even be an issue. Now her not communicating with the other communities. That is a different situation.
They were taken in the comics as well : big difference in comics Ezekial and Rosetta were choosen instead .... Ezekial was kept because in comics Carol was already killed ... Rosetta will be a significant part of the plot with Eugene, especially in the season finale

@@jeremyroberts8822 I don't watch Fear either but that's one thing that is worse about characters just leaving the show is that when something happens you know in real life that person would come back for it. I mean even on the other shows like I don't know Grey's Anatomy, somebody will just leave and then another character dies and you know good and darn well that, that other character would come back for the funeral or whatever... but they don't. It's annoying! Haha. So come on... there is NO WAY all this stuff happens and Maggie and Morgan wouldn't come help....riiiiiiiight😏😠!

Henry was my favourite character this season. I'm young myself, but I think regardless of age it's really hard seeing young people die. Sure he made mistakes, but his heart was pure and he fought for good reasons. Such a good person, with a future ahead of him. He is possibly my favourite character in the show.

The story of ozzy, the highwayman and the saviour coming in to try and save them and having them all fighting until the end isn’t what happened, right? That was Sid just telling the community a different version of events so they don’t fear alpha as much??? Give them a heroes death so it doesn’t split the communities apart again.
Honestly I think the real version of events were, they cut off the heads one by one and each saw their friends die leaving Sid to tell that story but he didn’t.
