It's very difficult to choose a favorite song or album of Radiohead. They are a rare band that can put together an album where you love it from start to end! I love you Radiohead!
oh my God i hate that. when people act like the band is playing only obscure songs, when really they're band/fan favorites. thats happened to me a few times.
great interview...people who claim to be radiohead fans but slag kid A n amnesiac need to watch this n realise how important and beautiful kid A IS...thanks for the upload dude
I know, there's far too many "fans" who haven't taken the time to listen to the whole body of work. I was at their gig at Manchester the other day and there was a couple behind me saying "when are they going to play something we know" after idioteque and national anthem - i mean, both of those are classics, and if they don't know them they should spenda few hours on youtube at least watching these songs before they spend a hundred quid on tickets. or better still buy all the albums
yeah i hear ya mate..they compliment each other so well...if they'd of released the two as a double album at the same time they would've fit perfectly almost like kid a was the life and amnesiac is the afterlife...a lot of talk about "black eye'd angels" and "ghost horses" on amnesiac tho on kid i also think how2 disappear could be almost a tale of being a ghost "i walk thru walls" "im not here, this isnt happening" d'ya think thom yorke is the ghost in that song?? what a haunting song , my fave
He most certainly is. 'Floating down the Liffey' was based on a dream he had whilst touring in Dublin, likewise 'walking through walls'. And of course we all know the title is taken from advice Michael Stipe gave to Thom, to deal with the relentlessness of touring. An excellent song, brilliant composition, and alive with soul.
Well Pre-Kid A Radiohead is great music. So if you dont like other types of music so much or you just want to hear some good rock songs then you wont think much of Kid A. But if your not really interested in that stuff and want to hear some new and different non-pop music than post Kid A stuff is for you. However I think Hail to The Thief can get an audience from anyone.
i think youll find hes right radeon. and youre not even close to a radiohead fan if you only like pre-kid a material, kid a and everything released that has followed has been FUCKING AMAZING.
exactly. Me and the girl that came with me to the Old Trafford gig were a bit shocked that we didn't know one of the tracks that was played - turns out it was brand new and only got played for the first time a few weeks earlier, so maybe we can be forgiven. But paying a hundred quid a couple to go to a Radiohead gig and not having heard Kid A? That's just stupid. It's not like you can't hear everything for free nowadays
it's basically the same, but the album version is sequenced, whereas the live version is literally completely live (apart from maybe some Akai sequencers running live). It's sort of a compromise between playing all the cues straight live, and sounding like the album. I think it works well, but other people are free to disagree
yeah you loved kid A dude as did i...but there are so many people who claim to love radiohe yet you ask the n the just talk about the bends o.k comp or even just the song creep and they dont get kid a

Love the way he calls midday first thing in the morning. I want his life.

I know one Radiohead fan who does, it isn't my favourite, but remember, there is no such thing as the best Radiohead album?

The burden you carry around doesn't need to weigh you down most of the time. I'm the first comment in 9 years.
haha good one. its bassically the truth though.lol
Nigel Godrich
at 6:04 the translation says he brings us the baguette....metaphor or very confused translator?
agreed
Pity not enough bands do it because they love it, glad Thom does though.

thats a great point. i never even thought of that. its like, it doesnt even have to cost money if you dont want to pay.lol i dont get it.
fantastic band...best ever imo, thats very subjective tho
although In Rainbows comes close IMO

zackly. if you're going to go to a gig, download their key albums. Unless it's Metallica, then they might sue you for it
Kid A or Amnesiac for me
thats pathetic
