She is a wonderful interviewer! I've never heard Thom open up like that. She was thoughtful with her questions and gave him plenty of room to express himself.
I'm truly impressed. I'd like to see her do more.

Seeing Thom actually responding positively to the interviewer's questions is such a rare and pleasant thing to see... lovely!

Thom just helped me so much! A lot of the problems I have I think are external not internal.

One of his best interviews ever. Quite in-depth and revealing, without being trivialized.

His epiphany at 2:57, "I'm allowed (to think a lot)" Is pure Thom. I want to see more of where his mind was during these times.

Thom looks vulnerable here, and then uncofortable with being able to loosen up so much to an interviewer, and then he just goes with it, relaxes and has a great interview.
Thanks for sharing this, by the way.

I bloody love the energy and connection between these 2, as interviewer and interviewee, the ebb and flow of the interview is just spot on!!
    Brilliant stuff! :D

she seems to love how his brain works and listening to the complexity behind him which is what makes this an awesome interview instead of the droning crap most interviewers ask

It is so nice to see Thom being Thom. We know he doesn't like interviews but he seems to be thriving on this one. How wonderful is it to see Thom saying out loud what we ALL KNOW and THINK! Us "gits" are with ya Thom. Why this man doubts himself and his abilities still, is astounding to me. Talent in an abundance. Cheers.

Thom Yorke is such a person to admire. He's an intellectual as well as a damn amazing musician. He doesn't bullshit about his personal life in interviews like most people do these days. I say he's a gem.

  • @Haverkamp2

You can tell she's a radiohead fan who actually thought about the questions other fans might want to hear answers to. I've seen other interviews with Thom, where the Interviewer was trying to be more entertaining than actually have a discussion. This is the best I.V. I've seen with him. Good Job

I don't think Thom is pretentious at all. The man is bloody brilliant, and is able to hold an intelligent conversation about even the most volatile subjects, notably politics. I would absolutely love the opportunity to talk to him one-on-one. His genius makes him so utterly attractive to me. I can imagine losing myself with him for hours......or the rest of my life!! God, how I love him!

I love how he starts swearing, on the verge of a rant, and then decides he can't be arsed and its probably not the time or the place lol. and she sooo wants thom. he does it again at the end but bails with "I guess politics isnt a sexy thing". just look how she reacts to that... and then thoms face lol

it's refreshing to see an interviewer who has done her homework, who's patient -i mean, the guy's a bit slow- and who is allowed the time to allow thom yorke to take his time. nowadays on tv pretty precious stuff.

Anyone who studies Art, whatever the medium, as well as its producers, the true artists, can't help but see a consistent quality of social difficulty. It is the price of artistic vision. We are not all created equal. Thom has a quality that sets him apart from the masses, and it gives him joy and pain simultaneously. Ezra Pound wrote,"The apparition of these faces in a crowd-- Petals on a wet, black bough." He's a part, and apart from the people he loves. Play on, Thom.

thanks for this vid! funny how he's in his own world and it seems like she cannot catch up or respond in any way to his long speaches driven from his "not so fitted" mind (maybe it is supossed to look like this, but anyways it looks quite interesting)
maybe his music is not my taste, but he's got my respect and i treasure the discovery of him as a person, nice to know there are some open minded people with quite a fascinating personality.
