Interesting welcome to Kenya. The reason why the airport security separates people from cars is because of our unfortunate experience with terrorist attacks. Kenya places a high premium on securing public spaces. Especially the airport, malls, supermarkets, hotels and anywhere were there is high human traffic. The swallow in other parts of Africa is more varied. In Zambia where I am from we make swallow from cassava, sorghum, corn flour like what northern Nigerians eat called tuo. In fact northern Nigerians have a similar diet to southern, Eastern and Northern Africans. I noticed that northern Nigerians also eat soured milk butter, fresh cow's milk which is very popular in Zimbabwe Zambia, south Africa, etc

Kenyans have alot of vegetable readily available in comparison to West Africa. 4. Nigerians go out late and dance vigorously for just 2 hours. I mean after work they go home, have dinner then go out. In Keny its job to pub till am. Nigerians dont drink much

    On food...
Kenyan food is quite diverse...and we also do have plantain, but it is not popular...
The dishes range from meat products eg muturwa, to traditional African foods and vegetables to swahili dishes (sort of like a mildly spice indian foods), to a plethora of wheat products eg chapati, mandazi, mahamri etc
