I visited Kenya in November 2024 my first trip to East Africa. I am Nigerian but lived in England since my teens and now in my fourties. I can truly say I felt like I was in motherland. There was a connection I felt with the people and the country. I am looking to buy a home there soon.
As a Ugandan i still have great memories of kenya , me and my buddies we rotated kenya as young merchants in the 70s .And also a lot of my family members lived in and a few are still in kenya. The people are really down to earth.
In Kenya every public hospital has a nutritionist. Mothers during pre-natal visits are sensitized on healthy cooking where emphasis is on fruits and vegetables while red meat is discouraged.
You are righ, we love avocado and always have some with almost every meal, especially now that they are in season. I even have a tree in my compound. I slice it up and add salt, black pepper and squeeze in some lemon juice it tastes like heaven! 😅🤩
I worked in some countries of West Africa and the palm oil and Maggie almost killed me, my system was not used to the excess oil and artificial spices. Potato and cassava leaves became my favorite soup. The locals were always shocked by my style of eating, I rarely bought meat.

Thank you Sarah for the accolades. It’s lovely to see Kenya thru your eyes...you just got yourself a subscriber coz your such a great ambassador for Kenya! I will definitely share your video to those who are coming here....you are honest in your review stating that we are not perfect, we have our bad traits and people but overall we have a good rating!❤
Please, sis, don't listen to bullies . Some have home issues of their own, they then decide to pass their issues to others cowardly behind the screen. We love you. Keep going.
We're elated for your precious explanations, you also look pretty,i desires to visit Nigeria, specifically lagos, Enugu and akwa ibom then rivers state
Princess you are amazing. You love who you are and your country. It shows because when you see something to admire in Kenya, you don’t get jealous or even lose your esteem for your nation. You learn and share. Being humble isn’t a step down, in fact it is a half step up, wisdom and knowledge will cover the rest of your rise. Akili ni mali.
Your observation about diet in Kenya is 💯 correct. As opposed to Nigerians, Kenyans cook fresh food almost on daily basis which is a healthy practice while Nigerian cook stew that can last for a week or more which can be at times be unhealthy.
You are kenyan girl now, the accent is changing slowly, adapting to our food culture ,this means in a short period an athlete will be on you and soon a medal will be on the table of Nigeria on olympics
Sara Kenya has all the climates found in the world. From snow in mt Kenya, desert in the north, Savannah, tropical forests, sandy white beaches, ocean in Indian Ocean, lakes as in lake Victoria, the rift valley, rivers, wild animals, so so much. Infact Kenya is the last frontier of human migration. Bantus from the south Africa stopped around mt Kenya, bantus from central Africa through congo, Rwanda, Uganda stopped west Kenya, nilotes from Egypt, Sudan stopped in Kenya in their southerly movement like the maasai, cushites and the Ethiopian lineage stopped in the north of Kenya, Somalia and borans, arabs from Oman, Indians, and of the Europeans all congregated in Kenya. This made Kenya an extremely mixed society full of diversity. That's why Kenyans don't identify people from their origin. It doesn't make sense to them. In Kenya you simply belong and Carry on with your life.
I ❤ Love NIGERIAN'NS FOOD WITH PEPPERS BUT NOT TOO MUCH OIL. I LOVE OKRA + SOUP + CHICKEN STEW + FISH STEW+ PEPPERS. / KENYANS LOVE BALANCE DIET FOOD AND A LOT OF GREEN VEGIES & ALOT OF FRUITS AND FRESH ORGANIC FOOD.
THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING ABOUT THE OIL. I’ve always wondered why some Nigerian dishes online have so much oil. Since no one was responding I just thought Palm oil is more healthy 😅
A country's education system and curriculum largely defines the know how of its population... All this things Kenyans are familiar with is in there curriculum...Talk of a balanced diet and this hospitality thing most expatriates are talking of....Hospitality is a sub unit in Geography. Peace lovèin unity is a topic...and many more
wow this is awesome about my country Kenya,we eat easy meat chicken, fish is not a sign of good life but moving closer to the grave but fruits and vegetables makes you live long.
Meat to us is not a daily part of meal, we do vegetables and grains mostly and roots e.g arrow roots, cassava, sweet potatoes. We make sure animal protein is less than plant protein. Only few people do pepper
Swallow? Obstacle? What?!! 😂😂😂😂 You can also start incorporating our traditional gruel (porridge) and fermented milk (mala and mursik), which will add minerals to your body and clean your gut...
As always good well balanced content about Kenya, by a fair lovely 'ambassador' You love Kenya and Kenya and Kenyans love. Please get married in Kenya ❤. The lucky King must grow or import tones of Pepe O!
Actually, there is this one aspect that many African countries fail to understand about Kenyan especially when they argue because Kenyans learned African history while at the primary level. so, they have every little detail concerning every country in Africa. Outwitting Kenyan becomes a difficult task for other nations to argue with us. Note this point and go around ask Kenyan about history of any nation in Africa especially ,the so called giant of Africa, you will be perplexed
You are right. Kenyan food might seem blund but it's the most nutritious and organic both from source, preparation and cooking. Sample this; Ugali (maize floor+hot water), stir fried veges (not more than 15mins), nyama choma (charcoal grilled meat), in all these no additives or excess oil in a single meal. Take a fruit and avocado is the favorite choice coz it's a Super Food....it has natural oil which is better than factory processed ones.
Thanks!
Wow....thanks so much 🙏
I really love you sara

If you experience Nigeria you will quickly become loud and forceful. The Nigerian system is very harsh, hence their approach and attitude
She is so calm and sweet

No wonder many kenyans look slimmer & athletic..... because they eat more fruits, cereals & vegetables...which in turn controls weight gain & obesity.
And we have a longer life-span than countries like Nigeria, Ghana and so on.
@@Okwash1you don't have to brag about that 😉
@Theproudkafir Well take it as you wish, if you see it as bragging, let it be.
