In the videos/screen recordings she went through the steps from the convos she was showing all the way to his Snapchat etc, so there was no doubt it was him. In the convos he was asking her (a minor) for lewd/nude pictures, commenting sexually on regular pictures she was posting publicly, talking to her sexually & asking her to reply in the same way, etc. She also had screen recording of DM's with him on his Instagram, where he was the same way. He did respond to her on Twitter, stating he had believed she was 18 the whole time & therefore he did nothing wrong.
People disregarded her story because she was a groomer herself but that doesnt change anything? Even if it was confirmed that amanda was a groomer, that doesnt mean she cant also be a victim of grooming? 😭 ive never seen any evidence disproving her claims too its just dream stans trying to defend him but never actually proving anything..
This situation is so bizarre. Once you read the allegations and the alleged proof provided against Dream, you come to realize that none of it is actually enough to even begin to make him seem guilty. Not necessarily related to Charlie's take, but I think if we're going to go after Dream for posting normal pictures of his face or even wanting to look good in his photos as problematic or it being weird because of his audience's age, you're going to have to dismantle the entire music and movie industry who targets pre-teens with attractive boys who are older than them. People like the Dolan Twins existed for years, whose target audience was solely teenage girls who thought they were attractive. They would of course play to this angle and provide some level of fan service for these underage girls, but they were never criticized or considered 'predatory,' yet Dream is because of the stigma around the Minecraft community and the deep hatred Twitter has for this dude, and he isn't even trying to thirst trap or look attractive for an underage female audience. People are saying that him calling it "Revenge porn" rather than just saying "It wasn't me" is damning evidence of his guilt, but it could also be bad wording, which I'm lead to believe Dream does a lot. Either way, his reactions to all of this isn't helping his case.
I think he was trying his hardest to sound professional and serious about it because it's a very serious problem. Issue is he is using language that he doesn't fully understand in the process. The tweet was basically him saying It's not to be taken lightly that a video without proof is being used to essentially slander him. If someone took random pictures of someone, put it through one of those deep fakes or ai generated programs to make a sex vid or naked pictures, and then post to the internet, I'd say that is a type of revenge porn. People like the Dolan Twins existed for years, whose target audience was solely teenage girls who thought they were attractive. People are saying that him calling it "Revenge porn" rather than just saying "It wasn't me" is damning evidence of his guilt, but it could also be bad wording, which I'm lead to believe Dream does a lot. Either way, his reactions to all of this isn't helping his case.
I think he was trying his hardest to sound professional and serious about it because it's a very serious problem. Issue is he is using language that he doesn't fully understand in the process. The tweet was basically him saying It's not to be taken lightly that a video without proof is being used to essentially slander him. Also people argue that he should have said it wasn't him, but literally anything he says will be interpreted as admission of guilt right now. Hell even if he didn't say anything, people would have still thought the same.
Thing is technically speaking even if the person in it isn't dream. but the person is claiming it to be him, would fall under revenge porn I believe. (Though only in some states)

(This isn’t an exact definition but is just how I’d explain it) Its most commonly done by ex lovers, or done too former pornstars. Rather than a defense its an accusation, saying they are doing something wrong/illegal.
Arguably, you can classify deepfake or mimicry of someone in pornographic content with the purpose to harm their image as 'revenge-porn', how that'd work legally, would be very questionable, but, yeah. I don't believe him calling it 'Revenge Porn' necessarily solidifies his guilt, but it is a very odd choice of a thing to say in one's defense. It's suspicious, but not confirming of anything.

Im siding with the Uber Drive in this situation and Gumball is not Michaelangelo. This video shows how inappropriate Nicholas' behavior was. Dream did the right thing by recording this encounter because there is no defense against crazy. If someone took random pictures of someone, put it through one of those deep fakes or ai generated programs to make a sex vid or naked pictures, and then post to the internet, I'd say that is a type of revenge porn. So I don't think it's that unreasonable for him to refer to it as revenge porn. Whether he did it or not, is still up in the air.
