    Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, Ma- looks soo good💕 !! My mom says methi is like gold in our house- everyone’s favourite but it often shrinks so much- it’s just precious 😊

      @GaithreeDeviLuckan  2 роки тому

      Yes very true, most herbs will shrink like that. We made spinach and feta pies and it was the same...

    Thanks 🙏 for sharing Gaithreebhen. It’s my absolute favourite. I like the bitter variety. It’s always good to keep it in the freezer. Now you get the frozen cubes from India too. It’s definitely good for your health as one of the readers mentioned. Sending love ❤️ from East London 🙏🕉🙏

      We've seen the cubes in the shop but have not given them a try. Will buy some the next time and see how they cook...

      Oh no! Have you tried growing your own on a window sill or in the back garden? It's usually easy to grow.

    Hi from bluff ...must i boil meethi before cooking...thank you for good recipes

    • @GaithreeDeviLuckan
      @GaithreeDeviLuckan  Рік тому +1

      You can blanch the methi by pouring hot water over to remove some of the bitterness but its not necessary to boil the methi.

    Instead of using whole red chilies , you could use chili flakes which are easier to eat. Also the garlic could also be crushed instead of adding whole cloves. It would be easier to eat. Otherwise a great brunch meal .

    • @GaithreeDeviLuckan
      @GaithreeDeviLuckan  Рік тому +1

      Yes that's good recommendations. Pranesh loves his garlic so he actually looks forward for that intense burst of garlic flavour from biting into the whole garlic. It is personal preference.

    Is Methi the spice that makes British ‘curry’ powder so good with eggs? There’s something magical happening and I can’t work it out

    • @GaithreeDeviLuckan
      @GaithreeDeviLuckan  Рік тому +1

      No I don't think it is methi alone. Curry powder can be a mix of many spices including tumeric (yellow color), coriander powder, fennel powder, cumin powder, pepper, garlic powder, mustard seeds and chillie powder or dried chillie flakes as well as the methi or fenugreek powder. The exact quantities will vary giving different flavour profiles depending on the brand you use.

    Hi... I'm jus wandering about salt in this dish... Do we add salt for taste... Haven't tried it as yet but I would like to 🙏
