Hello Sweet Mama. 🙏❤🧡Civilizations across the globe have been growing this lovely legume for millenniums. Methi seeds were discovered in Tutankhamun’s tomb, but the oldest archaeological finds are from carbon-dated seeds found in Iraq, believed to be 6000 yrs old. Methi plants have long been used medicinally. It is believed to reduce fevers and treat coughs, sore throats, bronchitis, and constipation. The Methi is also occasionally used to treat minor skin irritations and to balance hormones. Of course, it’s always advisable to consult your doctor before using herbal medicine to make certain you don’t have any counteractions.Using you own herbs is something else as you know it has any harmful pesticides enjoy happy planting and cooking.🪴🌱🌱🌱🫕😘🙏
Hi Aunty. I absolutely loved the process of planting your own herbs thereafter cooking an awesome looking dish. Thank you for showing how to plant the herbs. Take care 🙏
Loved the planting process. Methi is one of my favourite dishes and I always salivate when I see it or when I’m making it. I conclude that it must have some nutrient that I’m deficient in, hence the salivation 🤣. Thank you for the lovely video
Hello Aunty. I love methi herbs, even the bitterness of it. Thank you so much for sharing. Can I follow this method for a window box. Please advise. 🙏❤️😊
Methi herbs will have a bitter taste. However you can reduced the bitterness a little bit by blanching like I did after washing and then when cooking keeping the pot lid off. Also use a sweeter tomato such as jam tomatoes rather than round tomatoes when cooking. However the flavour profile of the methi herbs will tend towards bitter.
Thank you aunt for your lovely recipes

Hello Aunty. I love methi herbs, even the bitterness of it. Thank you so much for sharing. Can I follow this method for a window box. Please advise. 🙏❤️😊
It depends I think. If the window box gets direct sunlight it may be too harsh for the methi but one that's more in the shade could work well.
@@GaithreeDeviLuckan Thank you so much 🙏❤️💕
Please share coriander . Thanks for sharing ❤️
We planted dhania seeds in this video: ua-cam.com/video/sMVYSVNaxeQ/v-deo.html
But just like the methi, you can also plant it in a box.
Hello aunty. Thank you for the lovely video. How deep (cm) should the potting soil be? Im watching on my phone and couldn't see clearly
We didn't measure it but I would estimate around 5cm should be sufficient and then a very light sprinkling over the seeds.
@@GaithreeDeviLuckan thank you Aunty. I'm going to give it a try once the weather warms up here in Australia
LOVE YOU AUNTY GAITHREE ❤
Thanks so much!
❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much!
Hello maa
Whenever I make methi herbs its bitter can you you tell me why that happens
What will take the bitterness away

Hello Aunty ❤
Where does one get the seeds
Any half decent spice shop will have it. I believe it's also called fenugreek
