How did you end up in Texas for practice? What made you leave China to Texas of all places? Was the transition difficult and was English a barrier in the beginning? How long did it take to do the necessary exams so you could legally practice in the USA?

Stating that jell had midigated to the hooks he put in for the surgery and my pupil is now oval. My eye aches the throbs gives me headaches can not go outside without sunglasses. Should I let him do surgery to correct his mess and will he be responsible for the entire cost of the second surgery, please help.

I have a question to ophthalmologists, not about diseases but about specific device. I am from Ukraine and i know that our medicine is bad however i am concerned about one device ophthalmology use. It was found that i have eye nerve atrophy and i was under suspision of having glaucoma. They sent me do department where they treat people with glaucoma (mostly), there were a lot of old people and blablabla. They injected them (and me for some reason) some vitamins for a week, injected some medicine under an eye, checked my range of vision (or periphery, i am not sure how you call it) on some device and did OCT and its fine but there also were some glasses with just red diodes on them that was blinking with about 0.5 second interval. When i moved to poland, i've never seen such device and couldn't even google it. The only science article i found was some old soviet article from 1974 that stated that such device kinda irritate eye nerve and force it to work more and as a result leads to slowing down atrophy. I wonder does anybody know about such device and its effectiveness or it is most likely soviet union scientists just made bad artiicle but doctors from post soviet countries kinda went with it and in reality it is useless thing. ? P.s. Just to be clear it wasn't glasses that you wear for a long time. I was just sitting on chair and they close one of my eyes, turn on these glasses and red diode blinking right before my eyes (it is mounted where "glass" of glasses should be) for a few minutes and then doing same thing for another eye.
Thank you for your videos. They are so informative. If you would permit a question. I live in Vancouver BC Canada and had cataract surgery in April and May. I wanted to see without glasses and thought Eyhance IOLs would do that for me. Since then I have had a shadow in my left eye and, later, developed many round dots with black spots and some cloudiness. How long should I wait for my brain to adjust? What questions should I ask to know if I am a candidate for YAG?
My big black floater is vert uncomfortable. I lost my sleep because my brain can't adapt. Please help. I already consulted but the doctors hesitate to perform yag vitreolysis 😭😔😥
hello Dr. Wong, enjoyed the video. How did you learn the business side of medicine? I am a primary care physician and have looked into this but find that the information is hard to come by sometimes.
It starts with learning billing and coding, then insurance contracts, then following the reimbursement for services provided from the various insurance companies, then understanding the cost of hiring/training/retaining/developing quality staff, rent, and overhead expenses. I'd bet that most doctors don't understand the above.
What are your thoughts on allowing ODs to perform YAG procedures as more states are allowing optometrists to do so? Would it be beneficial to the patients and the practice?
@@ShannonWongMD 👍👍 also your videos are very inspirational! Hope to be an ophthalmologist one day! If you're looking for a another surgeon in about 10 years, let me know 😂
I really appreciate hearing you praise your staff. I have been a tech, COMT for 20 plus years and some Doctors don’t give us the credit we deserve. I heard you say that a well educated and strong staff makes your job better as well as better pt care.
Dr. Wong, great video of a next level ophthalmology master. what's the app (ipad) you used to show patient diagrams of the procedure or of eye anatomy?
The ratio of premium vs basic cataract surgery (12 vs 2) is surprising. The practice must have an upscale clientele and must be more aggressive and willing to provide premium IOLs to patients with less than perfect eyes than other practices. My doctor does less than 50% premium IOLs and is very conservative about who he will provide them to.

My Dr. recommended YAG laser to correct my vision. Is it common to develop Posterior Capsular Opacification (PCO) to a PanOptix implant after three months of cataract surgery? I've been watching your channel for months and very impressed with your experience and honesty. Wish I have known you before committing to a different doctor.
Thank you.
Posterior capsule opacification is common in the first 3 months after surgery.
@@ShannonWongMD Thank you for replying.
Dr. Great vlog. Dogs eat very early. My dogs only gets out of their beds around 7am :). Admire your work ethics. Just watching and observing what Dr. is saying the first 30 minutes I can say you're "disciplined". That's why you are who you are....successful in the way you want to be. Thank you Doc.
Thanks for watching!
This is a really great Doctor i would want him to do my cataract procedure if I did live so far from him he's very thorough I, live in Florida wish I was closer

How did you end up in Texas for practice? What made you leave China to Texas of all places?
Was the transition difficult and was English a barrier in the beginning? How long did it take to do the necessary exams so you could legally practice in the USA?
you must be an english learner. in case you couldn't tell, he's american and speaks english natively.
@@NO1xANIMExFAN guys not American. Come on dude. He’s clearly Chinese.
Can we combine optometric and opthalmology for effective practice

Awesome office and practice doctor thank you for all the videos you do
I'm setting up to video my surgeries with an EOS 7D and a beamsplitter on a Zeiss microscope. What is your video setup? What camera, adapter, settings and so on? Thanks, Michael Guerra, MD Kerrville, Texas
Any comment on Light Adaptive Lens? Will this be coming to your practice?
City wide vision is in air and magnetic density is important and long range treatment and food and polution control is very important
This is amazing. Thank you for sharing this Sir!
This is so wise, I love it
Thank you for your videos.
Wow. What an intense day. Thank you for the insights into your daily work.
Thank you Dr Wong for shering, what an amazing day
How to do you prepare patient fir cataract surgery
My big black floater is vert uncomfortable. I lost my sleep because my brain can't adapt. Please help. I already consulted but the doctors hesitate to perform yag vitreolysis 😭😔😥
What is the best non-intrusive opthalmologic
Great and very productive day , what is the name of patients operating table .?
I believe sound and electrodynamic effect may correct vision with less surgical
The King is back !
Incredible day ,: you make time for exercise , preparation
Awesome! Thanks. God bless 🙂
God bless you how I wish I had a doctor like you.
Two eye cataract surgery how much
What are your thoughts on allowing ODs to perform YAG procedures as more states are allowing optometrists to do so? Would it be beneficial to the patients and the practice?
I am not in favor of OD's doing YAG laser procedures - capsulotomy, iridotomy, etc.

Hi can u take a look at my eye picture I took I want to know if you could tell me what surgery will help fix my condition.
Helo sir. My daughter has nevus of ota she has pigmentation in eye. Black pigment
