Excellent video. Learnt a great deal from this prior to my cataract surgery. Happy to say I'm sure every patient would be happy to pay extra post op for any additional cost incurred to ensure the best result resulting from it taking longer or needing extra treatments .

Hi .. is there a specialist here who wouldn’t mind giving me their opinion. I had double monofocal Len’s replacement about 10 days ago .. during the daytime my distant vision is good, however when night falls and light gets dim and then dark … if I’m outside, everything is blurry and doesn’t match the clarity I can see in the day. It’s like I have been wearing prescription glasses in the day but at night I’m not wearing them. There doesn’t seem to be any edges on everything from a yard forward. Just wanted to know if this is normal or not at this stage … thanks in advance

What about people with. One eye? We get age related cataracts, too, and a video to discuss best options for corrective lens replacement would be very helpful. I personally have astigmatism, near and far vision. No surgery or macula issues. Anyway, thanks for your help.

What are your thoughts about Juvene™ Curvature Changing, Fluid-Optic Intraocular Lens?

I'm someone who has symfony lens in each eye. I also was roughly -12 OD/-10 OS in contacts. I usually was awake for 16 hours a day, while my contacts lasted 10 hours. Dry eyes and discomfort was my usual last 4 hours a day.
The benefit for someone like me is enormous, but I can't stress enough (as a patient) managing expectations for people post op.
A lot of things are better but things can be worse. The halos and starbursts are there. It's permanent but being able to swim in the ocean worry free is worth it. (for me, ymmv)

I wish all doctors and teaching hospitals would think like this! Maybe not the quantity over quality.
I've always wondered why teaching hospital do not have the latest technology. Maybe best to stay with the basics?

Addendum: mentioning how the EDOF works can't be stressed enough. It's weird to have everything in focus all the time. It threw off my depth perception for months.
