I think this game is absolutely amazing. That being said, I wish platforming wasn’t such a crucial component, because these controls and our character and move set isn’t a good fit for platforming, in my opinion. Haligtree always makes you realize how easy it is to fall for a mistake you didn’t make but was just a limitation of control.
It’s not too bad on controller, I’m guessing you’re probably PC. Don’t get me wrong I’ve fallen probably 20+ times on the haligtree especially but it’s almost never lack of control. Usually I either rolled off mid fight, misjudged my position or jumped at the wrong time. Mostly comes down to the stress of platforming with all the danger around, is kinda odd to add this to such a difficult game otherwise
Hahaha, in my first playthrough, after a few falls off branches, I said F it, screw all this, and just ran straight for the trunk of the tree because I knew that's where I needed to go to progress hahahaha

As a sorcerer this area made me appreciate Gravity well and Collapsing stars. Pulling enemies off edges and watching them fall to their death after falling myself or being shot so many times by those envoys is just satisfying.
That branch where the mages are (where you collected the butterflies) is actually a great place to sneak attack on the first mage, and that allows you to get the second one from a distance as well. It almost looks like you can't make that jump, but it's easier than it looks. I love how this game presents users with so many different options!

Did you miss the site of grace by where you activated the summoning pool by the ants? Also, I think you missed an important item underneath where the summoning snails were.
There is a ladder on the platform where you fought Misbegotten Crusader (the one above two Miranda Flowers) at 10:30. Up the ladder there are a lot, and I mean A LOT of zombies. I don't really remember if there is some item, but those zombies did teach me that Blasphemous Sword Weapon Art is really good crowd control tool :) As others said you also missed second site of grace, and Talisman in the house under the roof where you fight three spiritcaller snails. Other than that it is a good guide and series. Good job :)
Thank you! Damn branches messed me up. I gave up looking for items but your video helped me once again. Went thru and collected , can't help it, have to always collect everything. Great work great videos much appreciated.

Trying to farm the swords from the wandering nobles took forever. It's crazy how certain weapons are so rare and others I would get on the 1st or 2nd try lol

the jump at 15:00 can also be used to get behind the mage you cheesed so you can take it out in a fair 1 on 1 fight without the other one getting in the way
On the roof where he goes down and fights the ants there is now a site of grace. I do not know if it has always been there and he missed it or if it was added more recently. Also you can cheese the ants from the rooftops and you can get both wizards from the right roof as well, you just need to look around and don't make jumps until you have looked at all of your options, unless you are being chased or something, but if you cheese it right you shouldn't get chased.
I just cleared the area yesterday. Nice timing with your upload. Next section will be hard... Is it the chest piece of the Scaled Set you're wearing? Good combination with the Silver Tear Mask! I'm wearing the mask since I got it and in combination with the whole set since I reached the Mountaintops of the Giants. Thank you for your good work! And audio is much better now!
By the way, near the middle of the bridge @16:43, you can jump off onto the platform where the elevator is. You can skip fighting the the two mages and access the grace after going up the elevator.
I literally watched this video anxiously awaiting your moves against the mage boys on the bridge. Killed me so many times and you CHEESED them lol amazing. Thx again DOM great
Congrats on the new recording setup! Sorry, I'm gonna audio nerd once more (I can't help it, it's what I do for work) - I think there's some heavy de-noising or gating applied to your voice in post, which cuts off some audio. Probably better to use less aggressive settings there to let the quality of the new gear shine :) Appreciating all these videos! Finished the game a few months ago, but it's still very enjoyable to get a feel for if I missed anything
Dude thank you, and thank you for the advice! More than happy to hear how I can get the most out of this microphone!! I have actually played around with the settings quite a lot since I recorded this video, hopefully you notice an improvement in Part 4 of the Consecrated Snowfields that I released this morning - I'd love your opinion on the microphone quality on that one! ❤️
@@DomsRoundtable Yeah sounds great in general. The tone and dynamics are good. The entire sound is much better and cleaner with the new setup! Only thing I'd be careful with is any type of noise reduction still. Not sure what you use, but it does make it sound a bit unnatural in more quiet parts. I'd take it off and listen in context if it's really needed. Usually the background noise is inaudible anyway with all the absolutely-destroying-enemies going on and you do win back the "naturalness" and detail of the sound. Anyway, thanks for reading. I know these types of messages can be very annoying :))
The misbegotten crusader above the 2 flowers was such a butt clenching, but lucky fight for me!! I aggroed him, he came after me faster than I thought (I was banking on him getting stuck on a wall) I fell down to the flower platform and my camera view got fucked so I couldn't see where I was going for a second. I managed to run over to and climb up the side ladder before the crusader got to me again. I turned around to try and cheese him from above, and he randomly fell off the platform 🤣🤣
That damn tree gave me way too many problems for a relatively small area. Elphael, on the other hand, is an awesome area, loads of pickups and some pretty high value enemies 👍👍.
I used Radahn's bow for the tree part it knocks 70% of all envoys off their limb to their death (except the big ones) saves a bunch of time if you don't need their loot. hate that section too
Seriously F%$& this area!! 🤣 EDIT - HOLY CRAP I'M DUMB!!!!!!!!! It's not like I couldn't find the second site of grace, I actually legit just ran past it and completely ignored it...

Im gonna start leaving notes in front of BS areas like with the ants that give you the butterflies that says something like pointless ahead. I died 3 times to those ants just to get more butterflies I don't use
That giant envoy @5:18 gets me everytime. Even with a shield, I get knocked off. I never survive that jump down. I've tried a few things to kill him but always get obliterated. Anyone got any advice on how to take him out?

Sorry, I'm gonna audio nerd once more (I can't help it, it's what I do for work) - I think there's some heavy de-noising or gating applied to your voice in post, which cuts off some audio. Probably better to use less aggressive settings there to let the quality of the new gear shine :)
Appreciating all these videos!
At 5:39 you can see an altar in the distance where you can get a stonesword key that you missed
if you are a dex build you could easily waste the battlemages on the bridge with the bolt of gransax, they just fall and it is incredibly fun
This ended up being one of my favorite places
I mean... The ancient dragon stones and ancient somber dragon stone are really nice
Another option for the envoys and ants is Collapsing Stars. It'll pull them off the branches, causing them to plummet to their death below.
You can get the misbegotten shortbow at the beginning of the game, it dropped for me at castle Morne
The envoy on the branch was a pain but I managed to cheese him using the ambush spell
Although the spell wasn't as strong as I would like and still almost died but damn felt good to finally kill him
the miracle "Rejection" makes this area much easier
Great video! This area scares me, not going to lie... xD
Radahn’s great bow with the weapon art makes short work of oracles.. and any normal great bow will take them right off the limb
You should use the serpent arrows with the serpent bow it does extra damage, you can buy serpent arrows at the dragons barrow isolated merchant
South of the 1st Site of Grace, at the top of the branch you originally spawn in on, is another item.
I used Radahn's bow for the tree part it knocks 70% of all envoys off their limb to their death (except the big ones) saves a bunch of time if you don't need their loot. hate that section too
What is crimson cloak you’re wearing at the beginning of the video? Somehow I totally missed this
Thanks Dom. Now that I see how sick the damage your ekzykes decay does. I wanna change my build....
Again... 🤣
Seriously F%$& this area!! 🤣
EDIT - HOLY CRAP I'M DUMB!!!!!!!!! It's not like I couldn't find the second site of grace, I actually legit just ran past it and completely ignored it...
I like the area but I can't get past the big misborgotens I recently respected my stats to use the elden beast sword and I want from 2000 hp to 1450 hp
You missed a sog halfway through on the roofs
Why didnt you light the site of grace just before the snails????? Just side of the summoning pool
You were probably traumatized, I know I am with this awful area - thanks so much for making it bearable!
You can get the misbegotten short bow in Weeping Peninsula. It’s just an rng drop
I must have lost over 500k runes on the damn tree in the beggining 🙄
No idea how to do Souls games….and my character is built exactly like your build. Now it’s probably your 19th different build…but at least it gives me hope that I’m on the right track!! 😂
Im gonna start leaving notes in front of BS areas like with the ants that give you the butterflies that says something like pointless ahead. I died 3 times to those ants just to get more butterflies I don't use
With that helmet plus the talisman, isn’t that extra damage taken to your character ?
Great videos also! Such great info
Oh no way!?! Legit cannot believe of all the things I could have missed it was a SITE OF GRACE!!
And the rest. :D
the misbegotten shortbow can be dropped by any flying misbegotten, you just have awfull luck with those, got like 3 in morne castle
As soon as you start in this area, you can turn around and go to the end of the branch for an item.
That proud you feel when u see u did all.
I see so many people not using the quit game mechanic to save yourself from dying to a fall
There are two sites of grace, you walked right by one. 😊
At the end of one of the first branches is another stone sword key
That giant envoy @5:18 gets me everytime. Even with a shield, I get knocked off. I never survive that jump down. I've tried a few things to kill him but always get obliterated. Anyone got any advice on how to take him out?
Everyone can find every item in this area and in this game. It just takes time to do the exploring is all. There is nothing impossible in this game. It just simply takes time.
To make it easier, use the greatbow to knock enemy off the tree...
No complain about thoroughness but, could these guides include and list at the start the ways how to get to the current scenario????
Wish I came here before getting stuck in Farum Azul 😑
Damn you Godskin Duo! 🤬
Have you cover the fire giant area?
