You're supposed to fight the erd tree avatar from way high up. As soon as you come out of the prayer room, turn to your right and fall off the side to the pad beneath. Works like a charm
Ehh idk, I’m not 100% sure which location you’re talking about but I tried to cheese the avatar like 3 times but the (Elden stars?) kept getting me bad. Once I finally jumped down and fought it head on beat it first attempt it’s not bad close up
Use Marika’s hammer on the Crystillians. The weapon art knocks them down every time and hitting them just shreds their health. Also that lower part with the Royal Revenants and 3 Crystillians I believe is the toughest area in the game for pathetic rewards. I’m on Journey 6 and they are really annoying.
Glad I wasnt the only one who thought this small area was randomly tought lmfao first time I got here was like living in a horror movie with summon dead and flasks empty just rolling and poking the revs down slowly because you have no mana to blast them with spells skills or dragon incantations 😭
Thanks for producing and posting this. It was very helpful. I cheesed the 2 Royal Knights, sneaking up behind them and casting the Poison Mist incantation. It took awhile but no damage taken. I also cheesed the 3 Rotten Crystalians, by casting Night Maiden's Mist. If one gets to the Y joint on the log branch, it is possible to hit all 3 at once with each cast of Night Maiden's Mist, without alerting them to your presence.
You can cheese the ulcerated tree spirit by jumping onto the tree branch you used to get over to it as long as your car enough out of range you’ll be fine
Not sure if its still a thing, but for anyone in NG+(Journey 2 and onwards), you're able to run thru these mucky areas where you weren't able to before. Otherwise, bloodhound step and quickstep are your friend here.
I just rushed through the haligtree. Skipping the first elevator, beating loretta then rushing to melania, beating the ulcerated tree spirit then proceeding to beat melania at around the 50th attempt. Gg
You can fight the Erdtree Avatar from above. From the Site of Grace, there is a ladder up. I equipped the "Flame of the Fell God" incantation and flung them at him. It worked really well! Also, "Stone of Gurranq" for the Crystillians is a great tip Dom!! 👌🏼

2:45 first time I got here I tried scarlet rot bone arrows to cheese and ye that didnt work but as long as hes close to the left hand side of the tower you can easily use 2 glint blades and still roll to dodge the couple of holy damage projectiles before rest hit the tower and disappear
6:24 I dont understand why people fear this little spot more than the revenant down below. As long as you use a great bow you just need to hit each ballista handler once to permanently remove them from the ballista and if you hit the gearbox knights they walk to try and get line of sight and can easily 1 v 1 them at the bridge without triggering the extreme avatar and since you already great bowed the ballista you dont even have to dodge ballista fire just worry about the occasional handler walking forward enough to aggro you
Why does no one mention the guy you fight on the bridge part. Invasion dude that drops items that are good for sorceress. Where the bell tower is and I have no clue how to get down it anymore
Lol the way I played the game the first time I totally butchered almost every quest so I'm on New game Plus right now. Trying to make sure I complete everything the only thing that's weird is the dung eater I keep going to that mode to fight him and he doesn't show up and I don't understand why he is not showing up I've done everything right leading up to that part but he just does not show up for some reason.
We have timestamps on a few videos however as this started to be a full everything you missed, it was hard to timestamp all the items/areas that we visited in a playthrough 😊
With the putra tree spirit I just jumped back on that tree got a bow and arrow and just shot him down and he couldn't hit me because I was so far away so I kind of cheese them but yeah he's really tough,also I'm on New Game + and I cannot beat Meliena now I cheesed her last time with rivers of blood but since it got nerfed and now she's stronger cuz I'm in New Game + yeah I can not beat her I'm getting pissed I've died already like 12 times it's pretty bad hopefully I'll figure out some way to beat her.

Btw that lake of rot is actually a useful area if you have a blasphemous blade build. The enemies within it kept healing me with the art, and the slowness gave me time to breathe after the tree thing and crystallins

I used range magic as well. Rock Sling. Took a while but defeated him with just that. Insane range. Underrated sorcery.

Area with rot/poison are easy to get around just carry a dagger or light wep with quick or bhs and swap out between traversal.

You can definitely cheese the first Ertree avatar with great bow and arrows from afar
Use Frenzy Burst for long range attacks. I took the trees with it as well.
The Artesia leaf is useful for crafting Uplifting Aromatic perfume bottle.
Sadly there are a limited amount of these leafs.

Tbf that weapon has changed my play style, I no longer see enemies as enemies, just future healing tools
To make the rot lake easier, roll through it. Faster than sludging through.
