Emily, you are truly the ONLY beauty guru that I feel is completely genuine. You never fail to upload videos despite your pregnancy and busy life. UA-cam has not gone to your head and I feel you subscribers are truly grateful for that. I also LOVE the fact that your videos are completely original never copied and just totally different; this video being a great example! Never seen anything like this video, thank you and please keep making your amazing videos! We truly appreciate it !
I also want to add that she uploads a new video every day Monday through Friday on her beauty broadcast channel PLUS her regular vids on her main channel! She's freakin awesome! I trust her opinion so much! :)
Brilliant idea for a video series -- the 'old school' classics that have stood the test of time. A much needed antidote to the 'new, new, new, gotta have this [insert latest trendy palette here] or else...' Please do more of these! I have totally missed these Benefit products as well, but I have to say Erase Paste is my go-to concealer, too!
Emily I have been watching your videos for years and I can honestly say I believe you are the most honest and thorough beauty reviewer out there! Congratulations on your pregnancy and thank you for your helpful videos :)
I would love to see more videos like this, because you're right, the focus of most beauty videos nowadays are on new hyped up products. But someone who's maybe just getting into makeup wouldn't know about all those tried and true products that lots of people love but never talk about.
YES! Please keep this type of video series going! I think it will help people like me to use things that have been forgotten in their collections. Plus new isn't always better! I fell into the abyss of new products that I had to have when I started watching UA-cam, but I was using great products before UA-cam, so I'd enjoy some love being thrown to the "old standbys" of makeup brands. Great idea!
Emily u r my fave beauty youtuber bcuz u r always honest like u always put in ur disclaimer that u do not accept money for a review which I respect (that's why I check ur reviews before I buy something). Many UA-camrs over do the sponsored videos. I am subscribed to all ur channels n will continue to support u. Wish u n Tyler the best with baby Belle :)
That was so frigging interesting to watch! I feel like i learned a lot about some good products that we all maybe started with and completely forgotten about over the years. A history lesson for us makeup geeks hahaha. More please!
This is a brilliant idea for a video! You're so right when you say it's intriguing to look at old classics of a makeup line, considering how "new obsessed" most beauty channels are. You always have the most creative and helpful video ideas, I really think you deserve a million youtube subscribers. Great video Emily, I look forward to seeing more! :)
Awesome video Emily! I think you have hit on a great concept for a series of videos by going back and doing reviews on the lesser talked about products of certain lines. When I do a review search on newer products I am given dozens of videos that talk about them but on some products I search for there is practically nothing available that tells me if those products work or not. I'm like a lot of women who have to pick and choose what I can afford to try and I don't want to waste my beauty dollars on products that don't work. That is why I so appreciate your reviews because they save me money!
awesome video! I would love one on older drugstore products...maybe neutrogena cosmetics or physicians formula. Or maybe even from Smashbox if you do highend!
I can't say it enough - your in depth descriptions for products are so helpful! Most beautytubers fumble over words and then say 'you know what I mean' or 'I don't know' and move on. Not Em! Love it. Also, Ulta is discounting the Mally face defender on 9/16 down to $25. Loved this vid - more 'old school' please!
Omg Em! I love this idea! So great of you of you to bring your opinions about the "oldies but goodies". And I always trust your opinion over anyone else on YT.
Hi Em! My daughter's baby, was due on the 17th, the same as yours. She ended up delivering my first grand baby, Hudson, 11 days early, after a natural, water birth after being at the hospital 45 min!!! I hope your delivery is everything you hope it will be too. I'm so happy for them and me!
OMG yes the Big Beautiful Eyes palette! Used that for such a long time. I love the small go to palettes just like the Naked Basics! Such a great video!
The big, beautiful eyes kit was my VERY first sephora purchase that got me hooked on makeup several years ago! I keep it in a touchup back for work, but you've convinced me to pull it out and recreate this look. But my concealer did end up getting all gunked up.
Mally Face Defender w/sponge (it's the square compact) is part of Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty. It's on sale Tues 9/16 for $25 (reg $40). This is one of my must haves.
I love this video and wish there were more like this. I'm kind of new to makeup and bc of my budget I feel like I'm the last to get most products. I feel like I can never keep up with you tubers when they talk about newer products. Thank you!
I really enjoyed the idea of this video. You might even bring up products we already have at home but have forgotten about since all we hear about are new products. Great video, as always.
I love these one brand tutorials. As for the eye shadow palette, I would just cut a little square from another old shadow palette overlay and stick it on there over the erase paste. Thank you
I've been using the Boi-ing Concealer in 02 for years! The only concealer I've repeatedly bought and still use among others. The color is perfect for me even though my skin is a bit darker. It's blendable and perfect for eyebrow cleanup and blemishes
I love you Emily thank you as always for the reviews. Your channel I'll one of my absolute favorites and one I know I can always trust. Myself, my mom and my sister all watch you haha :) you must be getting so anxious and excited! The time is almost upon you and I know we all can't wait to see your beautiful baby girl! Sending you so much love and support through everything xoxo
Elf's $2 cover all concealer in corrective yellow is similar to lemon aid. Its the same format, but slightly creamier. I use it all the time to highlight. Definitely recommend it if you dont want to buy lemon aid.
For the eye bright, I use it as a corrective base under my eyes. I use a sharply angled eye shadow/ concealer brush and put it on before my foundation and it makes my under eyes a lot brighter :)
I love Lemon Aid from Benefit, I remember when it came in a square packaging and was hard, the newer formulation is much creamier and easy to work with! Too Face used to have these little palettes called the Quickie Chronicles that they no longer make, I wish they would bring them back. Love this video, you should totally do more like this.
Love this video. I totally forgot about the lemonade product. With all the new products coming out nowadays oldies but goodies get pushed aside and often forgotten. Glad you did this video. 👍👍😊
Yes!!!! I would love to see more videos like this!! I'm one who wonders through every aisle and plays with all the makeup and always wonder how they perform or what not lol I love this idea!!
I LOVE NYX translucent powder. It looks white but goes on completely clear. It's pretty cheap, super mattifying and lasts a fairly long time. Powders normally accentuate my pores and take off my make up but NYX's does the exact opposite, it's my holy grail!
Another great video! Love the idea of visiting long-standing products. My favorite Benefit product that I've been enjoying for years is Dallas. I use it as a blush and as a bronzer-type product in the winter.
You're still looking radiant Emily! I've been interested in this concealer for a while, so thanks for the review. Can't wait for you to meet your baby princess in a few weeks. Hugs from Florida! :)
Really Awesome Review Emily! Yes, I would enjoy seeing more these types video's. That palette is Very Pretty, I have never noticed it before, looks pretty on you as well. The Lemon Aid product seems interesting.. Thanks for sharing this with us, enjoyed this.
The Big Beautiful Eyes palette was the very first make-up product I ever owned, I used that baby up all the way to the pan! I got it when I was a sophomore in high school and just starting to get into makeup. It was very straight forward and easy to use, perfect for a beginner like me! I forgot how much I loved it! I also had the Dr. Feel Good as well. I never wore foundation in high school I just wore Dr. Feel Good to perfect my skin.
I love to watch your reviews! You are so articulate and I enjoy hearing your opinions on makeup products! I would love to see you review the new Nudestix.
Love your hair in the headband! Very retro glam. This is such a great video topic- older staples in makeup lines. I hope you do more like this! I remember dr feel good was one of my very first makeup products i ever got at a makeup counter when i was 15! I also got a jar a benetint lip balm that day. I still have that jar now- won't use it bc it is 13 years old but can't toss it due to nostalgia
A dupe for that Benefit Big Beautiful eyes pallet you mentioned is the Wet N Wild eyeshadow trio called Silent Treatment! I own it and love it. The colors look exactly like those in the Benefit pallet, even that beautiful purple-y toned grey. And the best part is it's only $2.99!
i think this is a great idea as everyone is always wanting the new stuff but over looks all of those great older products! Looking forward to more videos within this concept.
OMG... You sold me on the lemon aid! Eeek, I have to have it now! I, like you, have seen this product but completely over looked it and all is capable of! I'm new to your channel and I really love your reviews and honesty. Thank you:)
I went through a phase where I would only wear benefit! The hello flawless powder foundation was my HG as wells as the Erase Paste, Coralista blush, and the at sticks! Try using the Dr. Feel-good before your foundation. I found that it gave me an hair brushed finish.
I agree! It's probably because she doesn't promote tons of beauty related products in exchange for a paycheck like so many others, which gets their name out there a little more since it's attached to more products and companies. Examples...sigma, bellami hair, whitening lightening, etc. That's what I love about her...never have to wonder if she's showing us something and recommending it just because of her affiliation with the company. ;)
Wow, I have gotten mega sample tins of that Doctor Feel good BUT with no instructions as to what it was for, this was way back when Benefit only had a few products, like that, the lemonade, the lip tint, and I never could find any instructions for what that product was supposed to be for until NOW!! and even back then, the Lemonade did not say "primer" it just talked about evening out the eye lid tone, so I automatically assumed it would crease my shadows. Thanks Emily, its good to finally know what these products do!!
I have been so curious about the Boi-ing.....thanks Emily.....really enjoyed this video. Would love to see more like this. As always a big ol' 👍!! I love the little pallet as well those are so my colors.
I appreciate this, Emily. Benefit doesn't stand out to me that much; I find the prices pretty high for items I can usually find dupes for. I like giving brands chances, though, so this is perfect.
I have to tell you Emily, you are one of the very few people who truly look just as Beautiful without make up! So serious-I am a total makeup junkie-lol. Everyone looks better with makeup, you however are so pretty without also! XX&cant wait to see your announcement video-hurry up already:) I got off topic, this was a great video-love the info&cant wait for more brands!
When I use the boing concealer I kind of swirl my finger is it a little to almost "warm" it up in a sense. It works so much better if you do it that way and doesn't feel as dry.
Hi! I do the same but I warm up my finger by rubbing it in my other hand before picking up product. I tried your way of using it and it also worked. Thank you!!!
I thought this was a really informative video. Thank you so much for providing us with this information. I so look forward to the video when you, or Tyler announce the birth of your beautiful baby girl. Blessings and hugs........MaryEllen
I loved this idea for a video. I've never even heard of Lemon Aid nor noticed it in my Ulta. Fortunately, I have to pop by there tomorrow, so now I know to check it out. I got a sample of Watts Up (the highlighter) once and fell in love with it. Works really well with my very fair skin. It's noticeable but not overly shimmery. Plus, I feel like so many of my products are powder, it layers nicely as a cream type product.
Great video as always Emily; very informative. I also prefer Mally's face defender for touch-ups, but the Dr. Feelgood makes a pretty good primer. I pat in my t-zone area before applying my makeup and it works great!
Awesome video! Love that you talked about things that aren't always front and center in the UA-cam beauty community. Keep it up girl, you're amazing! :)
I use Dr. Feelgood as a primer. I'm not as oily when I use it. Definitely keeps me noticeably matte throughout the day as compared to when I wear without. Breaks down my make up when I use it on top too.
loved this video Emily! would love to see similar videos from other brands, it is nice to know about the products that a brand was built on as you said in the video. Would also like to see some reviews of Sephora's store brand of products, I'm interested in seeing how those compare to the more expensive brands sold in Sephora stores.
I love the idea of this video! I've always been so curious about a lot of these products, but I haven't heard as many reviews of these as I have with their newer items like Rockateur and They're Real and stuff like that. I really like the Bad Gal Lash mascara which I never hear about!
I love the fact that you are very real and think you don't always have to buy high end makeup:) have you come across any dupes for benefit's big beautiful eyes? I would really appreciate the help!
Love this concept! Urban Decay and MAC might be good brands to explore this way! Especially MAC. We all get very caught up in their new collections, it might be fun to revisit the old tried-and-trues! :)
Do you think you could do a homecoming look/tips video? I know that might be a little young and different from your normal videos but I'd love to see it. Love ya!
Emily, another great review/tutorial. Love the products you featured. My fave: Lemon Aid. I use it on the eyelid and below the eye. Also use a dab of it to "warm up or lighten up" lipsticks that are too blue-based or cool-toned. You look gorgeous. Hope you and Tyler are feeling great!
I remember when Huda posted the lemonade video and I seriously thought she was going to use like an actual powder product that makes lemonade...haha! Went back and watched the video! Thanks for the tip, I've had the product forever and never use it, but will try the application you and Huda suggest.
Your description of Dr. Feelgood is pretty spot on. I had this product when I was pretty new to makeup and I couldn't understand why I felt my nose looked worse than it did before I applied it. I mean it was matte and all, but not pretty :p And that was because the makeup had become patchy.
iv'e been noticing that you don't necessarily use a transition color for your eyeshadow instead you just switch to a fluffy brush. i have a couple miles between my brow bone and lid lol and was weary of trying this technique but i did, and i love it! did it for work all of this week! thanks a lot Emily!
Awesome!! I'm glad it worked for you! Sometimes I like throwing in a separate color, but for simplicity- a lot of times it's easier just to wear your crease shade in a "sheered out" way! :D
i actually like it better. it simplifies my routine and gives a nice ombre effect to the darker colors! with Fall around the corner you bet this is it for me! lol thanks again! BTW you are GLOWING! lol
Emily, you are truly the ONLY beauty guru that I feel is completely genuine. You never fail to upload videos despite your pregnancy and busy life. You're GLOWING! I can't wait for you to be a mommy. You're going to be the best!!! Thanks for takings us on this journey with you Emily.
aw thanks Isabel! I think it's the blush & highlight (lol!), but I appreciate your kind words!!
is she pregnant? :0
Coco O. Yep! She's due in about a week or so!
Emily I have been watching your videos for years and I can honestly say I believe you are the most honest and thorough beauty reviewer out there! Congratulations on your pregnancy and thank you for your helpful videos :)

LOVE this idea as well. LOTS of original products are hidden gems that have gotten lost through the years.
Love the way your skin is looking today! The lemonade highlight looks amazing on you!
i love that you did this!!! older products are often over-looked. i look forward to seeing more of these kinds of videos. i love your channel(s)!

I love the idea of revisiting some older classic products.
loving going back to older not mentioned things. think a whole series could be based on this. xx
The big, beautiful eyes kit was my VERY first sephora purchase that got me hooked on makeup several years ago! I keep it in a touchup back for work, but you've convinced me to pull it out and recreate this look. But my concealer did end up getting all gunked up.

that's a fabulous deal- thanks for sharing!

PLEASE continue the "Old School" series. This was so helpful :)
Luving that leopard headband! You look glowing as always. Thanks for all the good tips.
I really enjoyed the idea of this video. You might even bring up products we already have at home but have forgotten about since all we hear about are new products. Great video, as always.

I love this concept for a video series and would like to see more of different brands.
Elf's $2 cover all concealer in corrective yellow is similar to lemon aid. Its the same format, but slightly creamier. I use it all the time to highlight. Definitely recommend it if you dont want to buy lemon aid.
This is such a great concept Em! Can't wait to see other brands in the future! All the best with your delivery and tons of love sent from Canada! 😘❤️
Damaris Ricard I had a bunch of those Quickie Chronicles! They were so much fun to collect!
alien21xx I used to collect them as well. I still have one left that I can't bear to part with!
Love this video. I totally forgot about the lemonade product. With all the new products coming out nowadays oldies but goodies get pushed aside and often forgotten. Glad you did this video. 👍👍😊
I love watching your videos because you give your honest opinions on products.
Have you tried the elf translucent powder? It's so great.
I'll have to try the NYX powder next as I'm a big fan of the ELF translucent powder!
Another great video! Love the idea of visiting long-standing products. My favorite Benefit product that I've been enjoying for years is Dallas. I use it as a blush and as a bronzer-type product in the winter.
This was one of my fave videos you've ever done....definitely keep doing them!!!
Thank you - this is a great idea. Many good products don't get talked about because they aren't new - more like this, please!
You're still looking radiant Emily! I've been interested in this concealer for a while, so thanks for the review. Can't wait for you to meet your baby princess in a few weeks. Hugs from Florida! :)
I love your head band! And that benefit eye shadow palate looks gorgeous!! How have I never seen that before?!
thanks so much! And yes, it's a great little palette! :)
I would LOVE to see more "old school product" videos. I love this idea. Also, you look gorgeous as always!
I love your videos! Never boring and they are definitely original! Thank you!
I would love to see a haul/review on some of the new Avon and Mark products!
I've used Lemon Aid for years on my red allergy eyelids. Nice to see old school products getting some love.
I always love your videos! How do you not have more subscribers!?
And who DARES dislike this video?! Haha
I agree! It's probably because she doesn't promote tons of beauty related products in exchange for a paycheck like so many others, which gets their name out there a little more since it's attached to more products and companies. Examples...sigma, bellami hair, whitening lightening, etc. That's what I love about her...never have to wonder if she's showing us something and recommending it just because of her affiliation with the company. ;)
sugrandspyce So true!
Also because she doesn't hold giveaways to attract new subscribers
Yeah I would say it's the giveaway-thing. I think it's awesome she has so many faithful viewers won over simply from her personality and advice.
Love this idea, think it'll make a great series 😊😊
Wow, I have gotten mega sample tins of that Doctor Feel good BUT with no instructions as to what it was for, this was way back when Benefit only had a few products, like that, the lemonade, the lip tint, and I never could find any instructions for what that product was supposed to be for until NOW!! and even back then, the Lemonade did not say "primer" it just talked about evening out the eye lid tone, so I automatically assumed it would crease my shadows. I live that u bring new ideas to the table changing it up! Love it
I have been so curious about the Boi-ing.....thanks Emily.....really enjoyed this video.
Great series! A video about Physicians Formula and L'Oreal would be great to see!💜💜
Love your videos Em, you're the best! Thank you for reviewing these products for us!
When I use the boing concealer I kind of swirl my finger is it a little to almost "warm" it up in a sense. It works so much better if you do it that way and doesn't feel as dry.
wonderful tip!
Hi! I do the same but I warm up my finger by rubbing it in my other hand before picking up product. I tried your way of using it and it also worked. Thank you!!!
love the new haul/tutorial/review thing. Everything I want in one video!
I thought this was a really informative video. Thank you so much for providing us with this information. I so look forward to the video when you, or Tyler announce the birth of your beautiful baby girl. Blessings and hugs........MaryEllen

Loved this! Would like to see one from Mac or Urban Decay
😊😊
Great video as always Emily; very informative. I also prefer Mally's face defender for touch-ups, but the Dr. Feelgood makes a pretty good primer. I pat in my t-zone area before applying my makeup and it works great!
Enjoyed this video idea or the 'standard' products. Great idea. I love that lemon aid idea. ♥ Elle
why aren't you at 1 million yet??! loved this
Thank you. Very helpful video. There's a few products I've been on the fence about trying. This video cleared it up for me.
Super helpful video! Thanks, Emily. Would definitely love to see videos like this for other brands!
Awesome video! Love that you talked about things that aren't always front and center in the UA-cam beauty community. Keep it up girl, you're amazing! :)
Thats like my favorite eyeshadow trio!!! Love it!!
This is such a genius idea. Please bring on more old school product videos, doll. XO
I use Dr. Feelgood as a primer. I'm not as oily when I use it. Definitely keeps me noticeably matte throughout the day as compared to when I wear without. Breaks down my make up when I use it on top too.
So proud of you Emily! You always come up with such unique and useful ideas! Love from the UK! #proudfan
loved this video Emily! would love to see similar videos from other brands, it is nice to know about the products that a brand was built on as you said in the video. Would also like to see some reviews of Sephora's store brand of products, I'm interested in seeing how those compare to the more expensive brands sold in Sephora stores.
I like the "Eye Bright" pencil. One of my favorites!
I love this idea! I hope you continue to do more of these types of videos!
This video was such a great idea! I'd love to see your reviews about "older" products that are ignored nowadays :)
Love this concept! Urban Decay and MAC might be good brands to explore this way! Especially MAC. We all get very caught up in their new collections, it might be fun to revisit the old tried-and-trues! :)
love this idea of reviewing older classics!!
Love the idea of more "old school" beauty product reviews!!
I am definitely looking forward to oldie but goodie make up brand videos!
Oh! I love this kind of videos! I hope you make it into a new series!
Thank you for another GREAT review, Emily!!!! Love it, just like I love all your videos!!
I used that Big Beautiful Eyes Palette for years. I still love it.
yay! :D
Do you think you could do a homecoming look/tips video? I know that might be a little young and different from your normal videos but I'd love to see it. Love ya!
Benefit eyebright in the pencil is my favorite thing to put in my waterline!
Emily, another great review/tutorial. Love the products you featured. My fave: Lemon Aid. I use it on the eyelid and below the eye. Also use a dab of it to "warm up or lighten up" lipsticks that are too blue-based or cool-toned. You look gorgeous. Hope you and Tyler are feeling great!
great video! i've had that little palette for a couple years now but i think im gonna go pull it out!
Great video! I would love to hear your opinion of some of the new eyeshadow palettes from Anastasia Beverly Hills, Maya Mia palette or Amrezy palette.
yay! I recently got the Amrezy palette :D
I remember when Huda posted the lemonade video and I seriously thought she was going to use like an actual powder product that makes lemonade...haha! Went back and watched the video! Thanks for the tip, I've had the product forever and never use it, but will try the application you and Huda suggest.
LOL! she's pretty imaginative- i wouldn't put it past her! :D thanks for watching!
I love your videos! You are so honest & real! Thanks for this great video!
BTW you are GLOWING! lol
