I have never heard this song. I’m 69 years old and I thought I had heard every song that John wrote. As he started singing I closed my eyes, my heartbeat calmed and my mind uncluttered. That’s what John Denver’s voice can do to (for) you. I’m almost thankful that he’s not here now to see what’s been done to our home, from spraying toxic heavy metals into the skies which has caused the deaths of many flora and fauna alike, to the intentional burning of the forests and the polluting of the rivers. I’m sure it’s a better place where you are, John.
John passed away about 3 months after I lost my husband at the age of 45. I cried for weeks when I heard of his death. This song brought back the tears. I hope John knew how much he was loved! God gave humanity an amazing gift when he gifted us with Johns beautiful soul.
I miss him so. He brings me to tears. The sweet clarity of his voice and as someone just said his sincerity and vulnerability to just be so present! Growing up I had such a crush on him. I imagined myself traveling through the mountains with him. Someone also noted the ringing like a bell of his guitar in this setting. Just so beautiful. You are with us forever.

During my evening walk last night I reached out to john and began a conversation with him in my head. Tonight I open my UA-cam and it's a recommended video. I wasnt even subscribed (I certainly am NOW) weeping as I listen.... and now believing that you were listening to me last night and have just given me the biggest gift. Bless whomever runs this... I saw John sing in Calgary when I was a teenager and grew up with his songs on my parents record player. We were told that when he died.. he ascended to a master for his gifts to mankind.

WOW! I, too, have never heard this song, but it is EXTREMELY APPROPOS for the times in which we find ourselves today.
This song reminds me about my wife. It was her favorite song before she lost the battling to cancer, I wish I could change the hands of time, she was always there for me and our lovely daughter, and I never miss a moment with her, life could be so unfair most times, there are some pain I will cry in vain but won’t let you know how I will feel yes but some times i wonder why bad thing always happen to good people.

During my evening walk last night I reached out to john and began a conversation with him in my head. Tonight I open my UA-cam and it's a recommended video. I wasnt even subscribed (I certainly am NOW) weeping as I listen.... and now believing that you were listening to me last night and have just given me the biggest gift. Bless whomever runs this... I saw John sing in Calgary when I was a teenager and grew up with his songs on my parents record player. We were told that when he died.. he ascended to a master for his gifts to mankind.

The younger generation have absolutely no idea of all the wonderful music they missed. John Denver, simon and g, cat stevens, jim croche( sorry for sp) etc... wonderful and timeless. I named my son Zachary, after John's son. I do miss him so so much. His voice and his love of life and the environment. At least he died while he was doing what he loved so much. That helps give me peace.
