I was so lucky to see John Denver when he came to Australia..beautiful voice, everyone adored him. ..he is the best entertainer I have ever seen..will never forget him.❤
I miss his gift....he really believed in the possibility of tomorrow...through each other..through the planet God gave us...there is none like him....and never will be.
He was the best performer of all time, I miss him singing so much. You were loved John Denver and this rare song is what you stood for. God Bless and soar high!
We need John Denver more than ever!! His music United us in a way we need so very much in our World Today And For All Time!!! God bless you dear John, you gave us so much and I will miss you forever. Love, Me
I was fortunate enough to hear John Denver sing this live in concert in Austin, Texas just 8 days before he died. I had never heard it before and was brought to tears. It was magical. I only wish it were recorded so more people could hear it. We miss you, John!
@@eamgarcia8058 You're right. John will live forever in our hearts and souls, in his music and in all the incredible work he did to improve this world. Whether it was his fight to end hunger, to protect the environment or end war, his legacy lives on.
OMG, how gifted this man was!! So magical...the amazing words that come out of his soul so effortlessly in such a soothing melody and tone - just so genuine and pure...and sublime!! His love for our nature is indisputable and no one has ever dedicated their songs to mother earth like him!! It might take a few more years for the world to understand how much our generation and the future generations are gonna miss this gifted man!! RIP John!!
In 1972 I moved from Michigan to New York and was distraught at having to leave the woods and lakes that I loved so much. John Denver was my connection back to all that I loved. My son recently moved to Golden Colorado and I just returned from a 5 day trip to visit him and we went fishing up in the high Alpine lakes and streams that I’d heard JD sing about and his lyrics were alive within me. So ironic that my sister should send me this song today after my return to Long Island. JD has been a part of my life and my love of nature for 54 years. A true gift. Thank you JD.
John Denver was a musical genius. He wrote so many breathtaking songs. This song ' Healing Time On Earth ' is just beautiful. John Denver sang from his heart and soul. x
On this the anniversary of your leaving us, thinking I wish you were still here but also thinking glad that you aren't. There of us though that are still here that are trying to carry on the message you were trying to give us through your music and compassion for mother earth and humanity.
Every song, John Denver sang, was a tribute to Mother Earth. And every one of his songs was meant to be healing in itself. He was a true lover of nature and in his music (in my opinion) he tried to convey the healing power of Life ... Mother Earth ... Nature. Bless you John.
I was there...the story in the introduction was true... I was working backstage that day from early morning until concert...he was literally writing it that day. Amazing and heart felt.
I got to see John Denver at the Forum in Southern California, then twice in Northern California, and the last time in Spokane Washington. Just a few years before his death. What an amazing singer song writer. RIP JOHN.
I was there too... I volunteered 4 years at Choices... What a privilege! The year Kenny Loggins was there, I was managing the green room. I thought, OH gee... another rock star. (BTW... I never considered John Denver in 'THAT' category...) I was wrong... Kenny Loggins was present and real - As he told me he was terrified as he was always safe behind his guitar and the music. We wanted him to talk about himself. He had never done that! I pushed him out and ran around to sit in the audience. He was authentic and real. I have a video of it. I rushed back as he came off stage... He walked up to me and took my face in his hands and said, "I just kept looking at you! And the words you said about taking the mask off... That's what people want to see and hear." And he gently kissed both my cheeks...
Such a beautiful song. It is a song that is very needed for our country right now. When our country is in such a mess, this song needs to be played again and again, and all people need to listen to EVERY work. John was a talent that ahead of every artist of his time. John has always been an inspiration and when times were dark and lonely his songs got me through. When he passed I was so broken hearted I listen to his songs for days and watched every video I could find of him. I love this song it gave me the feeling that God really wrote the song and used John to sing it. God bless you John you will always be in my heart.

I have heard this once before and it sends goosebumps up my spine. The consummate singer and songwriter. And this gets dislikes. Some people don't have a life. One of my favourite entertainers of all time.

+Meara Ginsberg Meara, thanks a million for taking the trouble to write out the lyrics to this lovely song. I've loved John's music for the past ...44 years and to find a new one is just a treasure. Thanks once more.
John was a gift who shared his talent and love for all living beings on our Mother earth. Gone too soon, he is still missed Thanks for sharing this beautiful song of his.❤
Stars, sun, oceans, mountains-Nature is so important to John Denver and it should be this Earth month and all the time. Listen to the turning of seasons. This song seems to me the essence of what it means to be present with nature. A song that wanted to express itself when it was ready-let's always appreciate the gifts our environment gives us.
Talented beyond all explanation. John Denver's ability to make words and thought flow is magical. We need another John Denver (although that can never be) right now! WILL NEVER STOP LOVING THIS MUSIC, THOUGHT, AND INSPIRATION.
I stumbled on this clip yesterday for the first time and immediately fell in love with it and the meaningful lyrics, John's simple guitar picking and of course that warm colourful tone of his voice. A very special song and I appreciate that it has been posted for the rest of us to enjoy. Heartfelt thanks.
Thank you so much Misha Nay!! I heard John sing live in San Diego after he'd returned from Russia I was blown away by the power and also tenderness in his singing. He included a few of his songs in Ruddian. Then I happened to be eating at the Chart House in Monterey just two days befor he crashed into the bay. I will never forget him and I believe Annie won't either. Just guessing there. Elizabeth Gabber
What a blessing this song is!!! And so beautifully sung. Oh my God..the world should hear it today. So glad I stumbled on this. THANK YOU . Appreciation from South Africa.
I have loved John Denver and his songs. And I like how he speak. I really felt his songs, can touch my heart... Honestly, all his songs was beautiful.. This song reflects nowadays..
This song is absolutely beautiful. And for him to sing a song for the first time and only make one mis-step with the words reminds me of how intelligent he obviously was. I was always amazed that he could stand up and sing for 2 hours and he so very rarely ever mucked up the words. If you ask most musicians that is not an easy feat. Bless you JD, you always make my heart sing.
I see that this was posted 4 1/2 years ago. So good to see that people are finding it in these changing times and being comforted. I had never heard the song and love it like all the others. His voice was golden.
Totally blessed to have seen JD live in concert five times, including his last ever concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London in April 1997. Sadly a few short months later he was sadly taken from us all. R.I.P. Great man thank you for the memories.❤️
It is now July 2017, and the small town of Mariposa, California (near Yosemite) has suffered a horrific fire. 63 houses so far have been destroyed. The entire town was evacuated, there was no power and (we are so rural) no communications about where the fire was. Someone posted this song today, and so I sent to the townspeople as a welcome home. It is making a beautiful difference. Thank you.
Belated response- do you live there, too? Was your home ok? I know there have been so many fires in Calif. I was in Santa Rosa, in Sept. 2017, before the fires there. I came back home to Washington in time. But sadly, so many didn't have that luxury.

RIP JOHN DENVER YOU ARE MISSED A LOT!

Speaks volumes of how Mother Earth speaks through us and encourages us to care for this beautiful planet she has in trusted-into our care, as well to care for each other. From Mother Earths heart to Johns pen. Beautiful!
Wonderful to hear this amazing visionary speak so beautifully about the visionary process and it's wonderful to see him create, open-hearted, in real time, as it should be, as WE should be. John Denver may your spirit be with us, guide us - surely this is a time when we need you more than ever.
I was at this Windstar Symposium when he performed this rare song. He also performed another song, Wandering Soul, at this Windstar Symposium which is my absolute favorite of John Denver's songs and it was never published as well. A dear friend sent me this link for my birthday this month---what a wonderful gift! I had never heard it but I love it! So beautiful! I still cry whenever I listen to him; such a loss! I love him still!
Wow. never heard this at all!! A truly gifted man.. I have been a fan for 40+ years. (Yikes!) His was the first concert I EVER went to at about 17! This is just so lovely..
Such a beautiful song in its birth, conveyed with such delicate tenderness and feeling through Johns captive voice. God, I miss the guy. Got most of his records, audio tapes, c/ds, dvd's. Even quite a few video tapes which i cant play any more. His music lives on tho👍x jimmy Liverpool England.
Yes I agree John had a beautiful voice , and a beautiful soul , I have to weep when listening to him ,even now after all these years , so glad I got to see him twice in Britain , he still has loyal fans who appreciate his uniqueness , I will always love this man for his voice and his love of nature .💚
what a wonderful song. Thank you. and yes, you can see the look on John's face, his eyes moving back and forth, as he tries to remember what's next, making a slight pause in the movement of the tune. This is what made the audience laugh briefly and truly appreciate John's style and work in composition. Awesome :D
A friend posted this on Facebook, and I stumbled upon it. It was very emotional for me as I am in my own healing time. I lost my husband of nearly 42 years, just over a month ago. Needless to say, these words hit me hard. They are as appropriate for the loss of as loved one, as they are for our concern for Mother Earth. John Denver was one of my favorite singer/songwriters, and I have all of his music...except this one. Thank you John for your talent, caring and love of this land. You, of course, were gone way too soon, but may we all learn from your words...before it is too late.
That was great. I've heard it many times but never saw it before. I'm still impressed with this guy after all these years. Is there anyone left today that is as dedicated to Earth's environment as this man was?
OH! I found this on youtube in 2008 and it was removed. I have been searching for it ever since! This is such a fantastic song and the video is truly capturing John's character. This is one of a kind. Thank you for posting.
my very favorite segment of this song are these wonderful & inspirational lyrics and beautiful melody & vocal crescendo, that is the heart & the pure talent & genius of JD: 4:28-5:15 In this Healing Time.. Walk with me again.. Through these darker days.. On this narrow line.. ❤❤Help me find my way.. Help me see the signs.. I am not afraid.. I am not alone.. You have taught me well.. You have brought me home ❣❣ ❤❤ Thn-q SDo 💕💞😍💓❣❣
Thank you for posting this and bringing back wonderful memories! Having been part of the audience, I have to contradict the remark of "the audience expecting one of his funny country songs", though. The audience were all participants of the symposium, and we were very much aware about how special this moment was and what special gift John was giving to us there, singing this song... There may have been a few who didn't "get" what was going on, but the majority did. For sure.
It was around 1980, I was in Iran listening to the bootleg tapes smuggled into after-revolution Iran from the newest releases. Back then I didn't know many of the Western singers but out of 100 or so tapes I remember I didn't like Jacksons and Elton-John much but the two I liked the most were Billy Joel and John Denver, ofcourse I still didn't even know how they looked but they had soul and warmth. When I got to America I found out I was right, they were just as good from near that they sounded from far.
Wow, great story; thanks for sharing. It's sad to think that John Denver probably didn't realize the impact he had on so many people, near and far, and he continues to enrich people's lives around the world.
I was so lucky to see John Denver when he came to Australia..beautiful voice, everyone adored him. ..he is the best entertainer I have ever seen..will never forget him.❤

Let the mountains talk, let the river run
There is wisdom here, there is much to learn
There is much to know, much to understand
In this healing time all across the land
You have heard my songs, oh so many years
You have laughed with me, washed away my tears
You have shared my joy, you have felt my pain
In this healing time, walk with me again
Through these darker days on this narrow line
Help me find my way, help me see the signs
I am not afraid, I am not alone
You have taught me well, you have brought me home
Let the mountain speak, let the rivers run
As the world awakes to the rising sun
In each brand new day, in our own rebirth
In this healing time on our Mother Earth
Let the mountains talk, let the rivers run
There is wisdom here, there’s so much to learn

Een Van de Mooiste songs die ik ooit gehoord heb!!!!!Geweldig Kunstenaar!!!!!!😇😇😇
His music brought love to my heart and a tear to my eye. He left this world way too soon. This was a beautiful example of his talent.
Such a beautiful song in its birth, conveyed with such delicate tenderness and feeling through Johns captive voice. God, I miss the guy. Got most of his records, audio tapes, c/ds, dvd's. Even quite a few video tapes which i cant play any more. His music lives on tho👍x

Love this video...…….The song is beautiful and his voice wonderful...….John Denver, The Best.....9/11/19
I always notice how his voice became better with the years.
So mellow!
what a wonderful song. Thank you. and yes, you can see the look on John's face, his eyes moving back and forth, as he tries to remember what's next, making a slight pause in the movement of the tune.
Is there anyone left today that is as dedicated to Earth's environment as this man was?
aspenkate .... Aspen Kate ..... You're almost as beautiful as this song ✌😚
wonderful singer/song writer, so handsome...…….Love..Love...Love you John Denver 8/24/19
What a nice, incredible, kind, awesome man.
OH! I found this on youtube in 2008 and it was removed. I have been searching for it ever since! This is such a fantastic song and the video is truly capturing John's character. This is one of a kind. Thank you for posting.

We need some healing time here on Earth these days. Too bad John isn't here today to sing about it. Beautiful song.
Lovely. He is one of my most favorite singers. His songs were special. He was special.
Today 20 years we lost this wonderful and amazing man and great singer💔. Tears in my heart but I'm greatful that John have lived💓 💞
John's presence in this song was truly inspired. Loved so dearly, and so very dearly missed.
This takes me back to the days when getting high on life was good enough all by itself because each sunrise held so much promise...
At the time that John Denver was filling up our senses, I was reading a book called Getting High Naturally. A perfect combo.
I was there...magical moment...
my very favorite segment of this song are these wonderful & inspirational lyrics and beautiful melody & vocal crescendo, that is the heart & the pure talent & genius of JD:
4:28-5:15
In this Healing Time..
Walk with me again..
Through these darker days..
On this narrow line..
❤❤Help me find my way..
Help me see the signs..
I am not afraid..
I am not alone..
You have taught me well..
You have brought me home ❣❣
❤❤ Thn-q SDo 💕💞😍💓❣❣
Thank you for posting this and bringing back wonderful memories!
Having been part of the audience, I have to contradict the remark of "the audience expecting one of his funny country songs", though. The audience were all participants of the symposium, and we were very much aware about how special this moment was and what special gift John was giving to us there, singing this song... There may have been a few who didn't "get" what was going on, but the majority did. For sure.
My husband and I were at all of the Choices for the Future Symposia. John was truly inspirational, encouraging all to make a difference in our world.
Boom - right in the heart. Thank you John. Beautiful brother. RIP
his love for his Music Earth and All of her people still healing us with his words of majestic beauty. Thank You John Miss you!
So beautiful....I'm in tears as I always am when I watch John sing...but thank you..♥
we miss you John such a talented guy.
This is great song and though it was recorded 20 plus years ago, it certainly applies to today. Thank you John for all the moments.
As always, John Denver at his best, even as he makes up the songs as he goes along, they're always beautiful-!!! :-D
Dianna P. Wood. ....FAR OUT!##
Wow, what a beautiful song!
