Poor freaking Gigan, that’s really how his story ended in the Showa era.
He at least died fighting. Even if he got humiliated for most of the fight. Lol
At he died with more dignity than he was in Final wars or King Ghidorah ( killed by Minilla)
Gorosaurus, Anguirus, and Godzilla did all the work. Minilla stole the Final Kill once King Ghidorah was at 1 hp.
That's terrible, yet interesting.
It’s kind of fitting considering Gigan was a massive coward who flew away from his previous fights.
I just like the idea of Godzilla getting dragged into these fights and he just doesn’t want to he’s just like “leave me alone I’m sick of aliens get off my planet!”
That's absolutely not how he behaves in the show, though.
I like how Rodan is there in reference to the episode where Gamera debuted for the first time (I forgot the episode number)

There are 2 possibilities I can think of
1. That could just be another shapeshifting Kaiju disguised as Rodan
2. Void Ghidorahs whole “reality bending” schtick might affect other parts of the universe, they’re just either not noticeable or no one really cares

Yo, Orga's in the house!!!! Been a while since we had an new episode and it's a welcome one! Happy 50th anniversary to the forgotten hero!!! Always interested in zone fighter as it is canon to the showa Godzilla lore and boy it is a bonkers show, it's awesome. Watching these can be a challenge but hopefully that would change in the future, Zone Fighter really needs love. Great video!!!
I like to think rodan just flew back to see what was going on and just went back
Fun fact: the terror Beast Spyler was inspired by two monsters from Ultraman Ace that being Verokron and Vakishim. Zone Fighter himself shares the same shouting and grunting noises as Ultraman Ace.

I first learned about Zone Fighter from the very early days of UA-cam. Zone Fighter definitely needs more love these days, the theme song rocks!
For a Japanese guy, Zone Fighter sure has an Aussie accent. 🤪 Definitely a show worth checking out.
I remember watching Zone Fighter as a kid. My dad had a videotape of the episodes where Godzilla, Gigan, and King Ghidorah showed up. It had no subtitles so I had no no idea what was going on, but I didn’t care. Giant monster fights entertain me both as a kid and now. I was so happy when we got a DVD with all the episodes and subtitles. Cheesy kaiju nonsense is best nonsense. 😄

Ghidorah survived his battles with Zone Fighter, only to finally meet his demise at the end of Destroy All Monsters, which took place in the future, in 1999.
And that's the reason Ghidorah survived the show. American fans like to perpetrate this myth that the people who made these things didn't care about continuity, but they absolutely did. But because that care isn't shown onscreen with spelt-out references catering to their mindset, American fans go on about "loose continuity", "they didn't care..." and other such bullshit.

Nice to see ya giving our boy Zone Fighter some attention! He deserves tons more appreciation. Love the different manga and artwork showed off here, haven’t seen them before. Also I’m in awe over you having those vinyl figures of the Terror Beasts, in addition to all the other Zone Fighter merch you’ve got. Zone Fighter merch, manga and art could easily be a vid on its own!

the whole family aspect also makes this show unique compared to other Tokusatsu shows of the time (and even since), most of its contemporaries focused on a paramilitary force battle monsters

Hey MIB. I wanted to say that I love your channel and the videos you make. But I want to know about those Crow and Tom Servo characters that you have in the background of a lot of your videos. They are especially noticeable in the Buyee sponsor at the beginning of MIB episode 126. I don’t know if there is a video that explains them, but I always wonder how people obtain those cool guys. Thanks again for making some of the best Godzilla-related videos on UA-cam.
funny story we never knew the existence of zone fighter so there for we always wonder why gigan didn't appear in future godzilla films since gigan didn't die in the showa era since we watch all the film. we can't be the only one who thought of that.

Toho doesn't release their works overseas. Other companies have to license them and do it themselves... and the companies who were interested in releasing "Zone Fighter" in the west were unwilling to pay the exorbitant fee Toho is charging for it. That is, those companies didn't think they could make back their money for what is essentially a niche release.
Just in time for the Ymsf ZoneFighter reveal! I don't have a lick of clue why Toho doesn't give ZoneFighter the recognition it deserves besides the similarities of UltrmanAce it has with it but I wished that was never the case.

Hey Orga, this is awesome to see your reviews on about Godzilla movies also MIB I'm very excited to see what might happen next if Rodan, legendary King Ghidorah and Keizer Ghidorah return to Earth on episode 147 maybe here's an idea what if Godzilla and all his friends tell him what happened and what he missed after being in space visiting Planet X The Ghidorah Planet
One thing I always thought was weird was that Godzilla didn't appear in the 2 episodes that Ghidorah was in.

I love how this channel is a weird mix of SML, kaiju and Dr Wolfula. Also I think more of the terror beasts should be given more attention in mkdern godzilla stuff
If it helps, Gigan got messed up in Vs. Megalon. It’s why he’s a little weird since the villains captured him and they tried to “repair” him.
I think that was specifically omitted for the joke

Gigan apparently cannot fly in "Zone Fighter" because he's so weak from the thrashing he got in "Godzilla vs. Megalon." At one point during the fight with Godzilla, Gigan does try to fly but he just crashes onto the ground almost instantly.
The first episode Godzilla appears in seems to indicate that Zone is meeting Godzilla for the first time. They even try to make Godzilla seem scary to him with the editing like he's a third monster that came to beat Zone's ass.
The Zone Family built the cave for Godzilla to stay in so he wouldn't have to keep swimming back and forth from Monster Island.
Gigan was planned to return in several unmade Showa Godzilla entries but they all did deal with Gigan being resurrected (or mentioned him being resurrected) in some fashion.
Finally, mib uploaded....i can finally sleep
Maybe one day, Zone Fighter could comeback

Oh I’ve heard of this. I’ve only seen bits and clips but not the actual show since it’s Japan only. I haven’t tried to look for a complete series on UA-cam yet, but I really want to. I do hope one day this show gets a international release because this is something both Godzilla and Tokusatsu fans will enjoy. Now obviously the reason the Zone family weren’t in destroy all monsters was because the show wasn’t made yet but im again it makes no sense story wise. But this show does explain what happened to Gigan.

its an interesting analog horror centered around a mutating godzilla suit.
I don't know but, Gigan just leaning in to the shot was hilarious but, hilarity aside, it does bother me a little that Toho has all of these great characters and Kaiju but, they haven't brought them back into the modern era. I would love to see a modern take on Zone Fighter or, to see Jet Jaguar get his own 3 part film series or, something like that
