Orga went to school, and loves dinosaurs?
We got some major character lore in this review
An Orga review ? Hallelujah and praise Godzilla there’s finally a new Orga review video !!
Ngl i missed this series
Almost every title of a dinosaur movie: *D I N O S A U R S*
wow how creative...
True
And there was a sitcom called Dinosaurs as well.
@Almost Adapted Flatworm And speaking of said sitcom, is it me, or do the dinosaur mascots in this video (Rex and Herb) remind me of Roy Hess and B. P. Richfield?
*SINCLAAAAAAIIIIIRRRRRR!!!!!! IN HERE, NOW!!!!!!!*
Jurassic Park doesn't have that and it's one of the most famous dinosaur movies
This video was my childhood.
"ORGA'S IN THE HOUSE"
Now that's something I never heard in a long long time.
Not going to lie. When Gary Owen turned in to a dinosaur at the end of More Dinosaurs it messed me up as a kid.
I always loved that part as a kid, pretty sure I wished I could do that trick too XD
That didn't really mess me up since Gary took it very well. I think what messed with me a little was Gary and Eric being eaten by the T. Rex in More Dinosaurs. I think it was supposed to be a little cartoony, the dinosaur put his dead just right outside the exit for them to rush into. But four year old me was like 'oh no they died!'
when will orga review godzilla the series
he needs to or orga won’t be in the house
Or hana barbera
Or other cartoon kaijus that don’t have their own series
I should’ve expected this comment
"I was a dinosaur kid."
.because you're part dinosaur, Orga?
Alien
"But you cant buy love"
*20 secs of silence*
You ok MIB?
I guess clickbait quit
I thought afterwards he was gonna again say "it can buy you a lot of sick twisted pornography though" lol.
@@waterking74 for real or are you just assuming?
@@waterking74 Maybe she went to DC to stand around in the background during news conferences. Seems Grampa in Chief needs a lot of women in the scenery.
@@coryames1170 just assuming... just to joke
I STILL HAVE THIS VHS AND I LOVE IT!!!!!
Always brightens my day to see a new monster island buddies episode. Keep up the great work, MIB!
MIB: you can buy everything but you can't buy love
Me: well that's unfortunate
I literally just thought "can I buy love" when you said that, MIB why can you read my mind
Still have my VHS of this, it is actually on my special shelf with about 20 VHSs from my childhood.
I do have 3 storage bins in my basement of the rest.
"If plastic is made from oil, which is a fossil fuel, does that mean that plastic dinosaurs are real dinosaurs?"- Some drunk guy
Philosoraptor says hello.
I'm sure this was meant as a joke but
Oil didn't come from dinosaurs, but just a bunch of dead marine microorganisms piled up on each other. Just because it's fossil related doesn't automatically mean dinosaurs are involved.
You know what is made from real dinosaurs though? Dinosaur chicken nuggets.
@@MattHedgern OF COURSE IT WAS THE NUGGET
That postcard is from the Milwaukee Public Museum. I live just down the street from it! Not only is that life-size diorama still there, they also show the Dinosaurs portion of this very feature on a loop with a different short about Dinos and another about digging to the center of the earth, every single day. It's closed at the moment due to the pandemic, but much like this short, a lot of info in that museum is dated and it feels right out of the late 70's and 80's. It's still a super fun and interesting place, tho, if only for the sheer novelty of it all. One of my favorite spots in Milwaukee. If you ever visit Milwaukee after the pandemic, go there. There's a vintage candy shop, a planetarium dome/IMAX theater, and a butterfly garden!
Oh wow you really made me want to visit it
@@MonsterIslandBuddies I hope you do one day! They actually have a part of the exhibit that talks about the (now antiquated/out of fashion) versions of the Mass Extinction theories discussed about in here, including the meteor hypothesis. Also, that clip of the meteor crater you kept using is the Meteor Crater in Arizona, I've been there, too! There's actually a viewing platform where you can look down and see the training site NASA put in the crater to help train Apollo astronauts before they went to the moon. There's a museum there where you can simulate your own meteor strikes as well! And, strangely enough, a Subway there, too. You'd think it'd be a Johnny Rocket's or something more fitting but... Oh well! Still a really neat place.
...Man, it's almost like you edited this video with my own memories.
Alrighty new upload, glad to be part of this even if it's a few seconds, I was surprised to be the first dancer, huge honor thanks MIB.
You are now a certified Mesozoic Dancer™
Orga is 100% the Deadpool of this show.
When will there be a monster island buddy episode?
Orga is finally back in the house
I want Orga to review the Rebirth of Mothra Trilogy.
me to
I do remember that film, when I watch it in my elementary school years, I'm really into dinosaurs and I always talked about Dinosaurs with my classmates during my middle school years but I decided stop talk about Dinosaurs because my old teacher doesn't want me talked about Dinosaurs, Godzilla, dragons and Pokémon, so I have some bad childhood years long ago
I watched this way back I remember I think it was 4 years ago I remember
YES!! YESS!! This was the video I remember watching in my 1st Grade class!!!! I remember it now!! I really tried to remember what it was just cause it mentioned Godzilla!!! I still remember that!!! Kinda funny too because when he said, "..and Godzilla!: @ 7:35, I was happy and went, "Yay! and my classmates next to me just rolled their eyes and said, "Fifteen minutes of boring.." 😂😂😂 But anyway, Thank you MIB for replenishing my memory, cause recently I was just thinking about was this was called!
If my classmates did that I would have killed them
My school librarian would show this short when we read books on dinosaurs. So dang Nostalgic, thanks so much for re-introducing this little video to me, haha! Back in the day, the song was so awesome, and I loved the claymation!
OMG YOU JUST AWAKENED A MEMORY FROM MY CHILDHOOD! I loved this as a kid.
I actually remember seeing The second part to this at a dinosaur museum when I was like 6
Long time no see Orga. Dang, 8 months since the last review.
No freaking way. I remember this! I was like in kindergarten or 1st Grade. And my teacher like randomly put this on. I didn’t really pay attention because I was bored. And also because it was dark in the class and everyone was talking. But I remember the claymation segment . What triggered me to remember this is when the T-Rex shows up and the teacher erases the board. And I thought nobody else knew about this video. This is awesome
This was my child hood now as a adult it's trippy as hell it's really is a trip back In time now
Honestly, MIB geeking out and talking about dino feathers was something i did not know i needed lol
HOLY SHIT! HE EVEN KNOWS ABOUT THE OORT CLOUD JUPITER THEORY!! HELL YEA!!
Thank U 4 uploading because I really need this right now, since my brother just died from cancer.
im sorry that happen dude my dad died when i was 13 and im 14 now im depress all the time i get what you are going thu
@@potatozilla2390 I understand, it's gets harder but overtime things get easier.
@@potatozilla2390 Thanks, my friend.
I respect the fact how you brought up-to-date facts in this video and I mean ones that literally just came out that was cool of you.
Thank you! I’m sure in a decade this video will be just as outdated as “Dinosaurs!” XD
@@MonsterIslandBuddies just how the world is right? Plus honestly I think that's what has kept dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures interesting the fact how our idea of them is constantly changing that and the fact that they're pretty badass!.
I watched this over and over and over...the song still pops into my head every now and then lol
God this was such a trip. I actually went and looked this up on youtube after you confirmed you were going to review this. They took out Richard's ass brain in the youtube edit. But kept the Flat joke? Huh? Lmfao
Thank you for sharing this! The song jams hard. Haven't heard in over 28+yrs!
I remember this! Holy shit, I'd totally forgotten about it until I saw the T. rex and triceratops on the front cover. Damn that is some nostalgia.
Jeez Louise. I have been trying to find "that VHS I used to watch with the dinosaur song" for decades and as soon as I saw the thumbnail I thought... "Could it be?"
Then I hear the guitar. And it was. A sincere thank you.
These kinda comments are really making my day. So glad to help!
Young boy grows up loving Kaiju and dinosaur films grows up to become one pretty much your life story dude
this is pretty cool MIB, honestly you should review more dinosaur stuff as well, like valley of Gwangi, when dinosaurs ruled the earth and the last dinosaur, cause your reviews are always a lot of fun
My brain is exploding! I've been looking for this forever! I used to get it from my library.
I don't think I ever saw the whole Dinosaur Claymation short. I want to say that they had clips and bits of it in a Science Museum kiosk and I caught part of it there. But I definitely know the Christmas special. That one was a staple. Me and my cousin went nuts every time the Carol of the Bells segment came on because of that really goofy looking one that kept losing his hammer and pissing the hunchback conductor off. And I love how they turned the herbivore character into Herb and how the T-Rex kept getting annoyed with him constantly eating waffles and stuff because it disrupted the sophistication he was trying to bring. I was always a big Vinton fan.
I used to rent this from my library all the time as well as the other dinosaur videos you mentioned. Such a nostalgic rush
Woo hoo it’s always a nice day when mib uploads
4:40 Is...is that the riff from "Fell in Love with a Girl"?
Did the White Stripes sample a song from a kids VHS tape?
Such a good song from my childhood. I had this vhs and watched the hell out of it in my youth in the 90s.
5:32 What an adorable puppet
This episode of orga reviews was awesome I hope we also get more side shows with other characters. Like a sitcom with some monsters or something
Regarding the school dream experiences, I still have them, too... and I've been out of school for 30 years. Plus, my Mom is 83, and she still has the "I can't find the classroom I'm supposed to be in to take an exam." Looks like it never ends...
man i loved this as a kid. I probably watched it 100 times.
So proud of my little furbaby in his big debut! Now I've got that damn song stuck in my head, all over again.
GREAT VID SIR!
Somehow you gave me full on second hand nostalgia from this.
Heck the Will Vinton Claymation is just an extra bonus being rather obsessed with stopmotion as a child. lol
Loved the video! I’m very proud to be apart of the dancing segment even if it was just a puppet!!!
The intro song always gets me in the mood. Thanks,Orga
Wow, I had this tape when I was a kid and I'd completely forgotten about it.
I've had that dumb song stuck in my head for decades! Thanks for helping me find where the thing came from.
Well this Orga review sure was pretty good, cause MIB is just so funny, cool, and funny
Also that intro is just beautiful
I remember looking at this video when I was 10 years old Good Times I wish I could find this on DVD anyway great video orga
I still have my copy on VHS. ...and now I got the song stuck in my head... again.
Thanks to you, I've had Mesozoic Time stuck in my head all week
That was a super fun video .... Awesome to see Orga in the house
I actually saw this video in 3rd grade back then and I still remember how good it is even with that song.
Holy crap! I watched this so many times when I was little!
I had this movie. I love it so much. Thanks for the nostalgia trip
Thats a pic of Meteor Crator in Arizona. The desert is still basically barren from the blast. There's lifesize dinosaur statues along the highway in that part of the state near Petrified Forest in Holbrook.
Thank you, I’ve been trying to find a bunch of my old VHS movies for my kids and this was one of them! eBay time
Jesus Christ, I never thought I'd hear about this obscure part of my childhood again now, of all times.
Orga is finally back in the house!
Fun Fact: Will Vinton Studios would later become LAIKA.
One of my favorite Tapes as a child. And yes that song is still a Banger!
As a kid I thought that the Dinosaurs all lived together myself that was until I saw Walking With Dinosaurs the original BBC series, read some books and saw more documentaries, I realised that they actually lived in three different periods the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous.
God, I must have watched this movie at least 20 times when I was a kid
Great work MIB!
Honestly, if I was Phillip and my school assigned a science project, which could be about anything science related, the first thing that would come to mind would be dinosaurs.
The Will Vinton short used to air repeatedly on HBO during the 1980s to fill the gaps between movies. (Yes, there was a time HBO aired a variety of short subjects and the movies started on the hour or half hour, none of this 2:17 business.) I had no idea additional material was "tagged" upon the original Claymation production.
Oh I needed this today. A bit of good distraction from a rather stressful day. Phew 😅 depression is one hell of a drug.
Yo. I had this as a kid too! Nostalgia overload!
This was one of my favorite vhs as a kid.
Great work MIB
I'm pretty sure this VHS is what convinced me it was a good idea to do a book report on Godzilla. I still remember the diorama I made to go along with the report..... The book was part of the 'Monster Series'. Good thing it was 3rd grade.
Never heard of this but you were right, that song is catchy and up beat. Plus I am a sucker for stop motion dinosaurs.
This is the first time in my young life I've heard that Mesozoic song.
Neat.
Wow, I actually saw this. *Loved that song.*
8:34
Allosaurus and Brachiosaurus (the dinosaurs shown here) did live at the same time. They also lived in the time of Stegosaurus.
Catchy song and awesome video!
Haha I got this when I was a kid after seeing it at the natural science museum!!!
I wonder how excited MIB is about Prehistoric planet
congratulations on 150k subs, mib.
Forgot all about this til now what a treasure
That music video just awakened an old memory...
I still have this movie! Still love it!
Love your content keep up the good work!
I remember watching this special back in elementary around the mid 90's and never forgot about it and was finally able to see it later when it was uploaded to UA-cam sometime late in the 2000's. It was a great nostalgic trip for me BUT noticed I was probably too old since I found the school kids talking in the claymation segment too goddamned annoying! And yeah I remember also being confused at Fred Savage's character suddenly having a different voice in the 2nd part. And what was up with that terrifying jump scare display of the Rex eating the Triceratops?
I recognize Rex and Herb from the Will Vinton Christmas Special. That was a fun watch!
Okay so I know that Orga because of his whole meta nature is supposed to just kinda be a substitute for MIB, but I fucking love the implication that Orga, a Space Kaiju abomination from many galaxies away was both a Dinosaur nut and a fan of the Wonder Years.
Though in all seriousness as a fellow Dinosaur and Godzilla nut since childhood seeing MIB ramble about Dinosaurs gives me life.
I too was a total dinosaur kid. And I still am to this day.
Right there with ya on this Orga!
This movie was part of my introduction to everything about dinosaurs. It's literally one of my earliest memories. And the song never left my mind. I even showed my little brothers the movie when I found it again. All 4 of us watched the crap out of just about every dinosaur related film.
I also remember this other movie, I can't recall the title, but it was stop motion or at least looked like it, and it was about a boy who traveled back in time during a field trip where cavemen & dinosaurs coexisted, and the boy befriended both sides. And he had this call that got animals to sing with him or something, and when he gets home he saved his friends from dogs by using it. He also invented the fork & knife, as I specifically remember the scene where he eats mammoth meat with modern etiquette instead of eating it like the others. The other cavemen & women were like "whoa! He's using tools to eat his food!"
Then there's this other movie I can't remember much of, but all I do remember of it was this 1 scene where a family of 3 yellow-green duckbills were being hunted in the thick forest.
And one documentary hosted by Superman/ Christopher Reeves.
Of course the BBC films & shows. Walking with dinosaurs/monsters/beasts. And Prehistoric park. That series should make a come back, with the same technique as the originals. I love the puppets / animatronic creatures!
Jurassic park is like the #1 movie we watch, my family and I watch it almost religiously; even parts 2 & 3 we've watched a couple dozen times during movie marathon nights.
Although Jurassic world isn't really something we have watched more than once. There's just something about the JW films that we don't like. Imo, it feels like they dialed back intelligence in exchange for "Scooby Doo style villain of the week" stock writers. And other than Chris Pratt, I absolutely despised the other characters. I would rather have the focus on Chris' character & his raptors: all 4 of them.. Also the raptors could be shown to be terrifyingly intelligent than as they were portrayed; like could you imagine then figuring out how to escape by themselves & actually watch them do it? Testing fences, digging under the doors/gates, using an injured human as a hostage or bait like in JP3, tricking the humans, or understanding how to unlock themselves from their paddock. That would give you goosebumps to watch!
And more dinosaurs should have been on screen, not lame ass people who just talk about boring shit, and a half ass script that is trying to float on nostalgia bait and references to the JP films. Give the herbivores the spotlight for a chance, or new predators (I know about the Giga)! I want to see a classic TREX VS TRICERATOPS fight! Like, come on, we've all wanted at least 1 predator vs prey fight in the movies.
Best song of my childhood!!!!
Ok wtf I thought this channel had 1 millions of subs. HOW COME IT DOSENT HAVE 1 MILL
Yeah, as a kid they just spoke of The Age of Dinosaurs, so between Land of the Lost, Valley of Dinosaurs and comics, I was sure they all lived at the same time. Back then, even "cave men" were still a trope. Funny about the song, they put more skill in it than a lot of record producing bands. Wild.
