When I first seen this film, I was expecting to see a certain death, as we all were expecting to see him die. We all expected to see Sean Bean die, but since he doesn’t die, but instead disappears forever into Silent Hill to go find Rose. We all were glad Sean Bean does not die, but go to live on in other world.
Here's a creepy little tidbit of information: The "dead" fish in the movie Heather sees in the fish tanks at the amusement park are actual living fish (or at least they were during filming), the liquid they're in is formaldehyde which acts as a preservative that suspends them in that state of looking dead but without decay.
You forgot to mention how Heather's dad (Christopher Da Silva who became Harry Mason here) set out to find Rose and stayed in Silent Hill, also setting up the fact that he'd be James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2. Which would have been interesting since the director hired Sean Bean since he resembled the character.

You could just say no its not, just make up an original story for what happens after then.

Silent hiill used to be smart, consistent, filled with soul, each entry doing it's own monsters and not relying on "icons" to sell the franchise. I had actually love the this Silent Hill movie. It had alot of psychological horror effects that felt just liked Silent Hill 3 for myself and my son. It was different yet very similar to Silent Hill 3 game for us in good entertaining way. It had most definitely hit all the good horror gritty darkness thrill feels. I did love ending with different potential future movie storylines to go down including Rose and Christopher storyline route if they are able to excape and to leave Silent Hill by them reuniting with their daughter once more through adding their own Silent Hill adventure of meeting others in Silent Hill throughout others' Silent Hill storylines within future movies. It would be like semi second movie carryover storylines within these future Silent Hill movies that helps Rose and Christopher get free from Silent Hill awhile they help guilding others from Silent Hill for good. ❤

A Silent Downpour movie would be good but the games are stories. Downpour has 6 different endings. I think if they made Silent Hill 2 a movie. Just use the game nothing else. No tie ins. Better yet just scrap the 1st 2 movies and start over.

Should relaunch with a story line that follows closer to the games, the movies feel like they were made by someone with only a surface level understanding of what the story is actually about.
No shade toward the actress but we needed a younger looking protagonist, Heather was 16/17 in SH3. I also would have scrapped Vincent being rewritten as well as the final boss, it should have been God.. that would have been creepy and epic.
This movie forgets its own continuity by adding in elements from silent Hill 3 which don't make sense if you're going by the continuity of the first film.

Nothing enraged me more than this movie. It was embarrassingly bad and i had such high hopes for it and was willing to give it a chance but like a toxic ex it let me down in every way. Considering Harry's death is the most emotional moment in the game, I was really surprised that they kidnapped him instead.

The third game continues the first game so it makes sense. This film is very faithful to the third game aside from the final battle.

I just need them to do the story and STICK TO THE CANON! Quit changin things from the games that ain broken. 1st movie was cool but shoulda went with Harry and his demons he battles instead of his wife and using demons from James Sunderland(Silent Hill 2) bc thats the main theme of SH being an individuals(and side characters) personal hell.
This movie was horrible, silent hill 3 is my favorite game and this movie ruined its story, I've watched it before it get release in the teathers of my country and I was so disgusted and angry that I didn't wanna go watch it, it would just be a waste of money.
Did you know?: Silent Hill Revelations sucks and is a waste of time?
