@hypatiakovalevskayasklodow9195 which still was so odd, carrie reaction made her look like a idiot, not natasha... like who tought we would think "yeah, go carrie!" 💀
I always admire Charlotte for telling Carrie how disgusted she was with Carrie and Big’s affair. Charlotte stood on morals she truly believed in, and it takes a lot of courage to not simply co-sign a close friend’s poor behavior.
Charlotte may have her quirks but she was the moral compass of their group. She would never have gotten involved with a married man. Called Carrie on her B.S. but still remained a friend.
Aside from this show this actress IRL got plays by NFL super star Tom Brady. Ended up a baby momma😅 While he married a super model, but then later on Mrs. super model dropped him!
Big didn’t like that he didn’t feel superior to Natasha. She didn’t reek of desperation and inadequacy like Carrie did. Carrie was impressed by almost everything about big. Whereas to Natasha he probably was pretty average. I imagine she had access to a lot of men like him. He wasn’t Big to her, he was simply John.
Natasha lived rent-free in Carrie's mind. The fact that Natasha didn't beat the shit out of Carrie for catching her in her home and having an affair with her husband shows how much class she has. Natasha was everything that Carrie wasn't but wished she was. Carrie was cool with being the other woman, but didn't want to be seen as the bad guy.
Natasha was moving way too slow down those stairs. The way I would have galloped down those stairs. Carrie deserved to be slapped for what she was doing. At that point Natasha had already erected veiled boundaries and carrie saw this and still decided to act up. Maybe had she been slapped Carrie would have snapped back into reality.
We were supposed to be on Carrie's side just cause she's the protagonist, but I never liked her character or even actress. Big really wasn't surprised being cheated on by Carrie cause he cheated with her, and people like that will cheat on you soon. Carrie really was not a girl's girl, and the show wanted us to like her.
Never forget that when Big died, he left natasha money in his will!!!! Which shows how highly he held natasha in his mind even years after they divorced. Speaks volumes.
Yall are kidding me😭i stopped watching after Big and Carrie had an affair when he was married to Natasha cause it was just too unrealistic for me that they fell in love again BJT EVEN AFTER THAT HE LEFT NATASHA SOMETHING LOLL did carrie get money tho? And does Natasha get married again?
The fact she literally hooked up in the house that he shared with wife just took it to a whole other level of messy. So shameless. Also like dude do you even wash your sheets?
I have not finished satc yet still in s2 but I know the ending of the movies which pissed me off even more because how can they make Carrie win. She lived happily with big that is unacceptable.
A theory I read somewhere was because of Natasha was working in Paris so she didn’t know much about Big’s messy history in New York, and Big can’t get a classy girl from the high society in New York because of his history. So he travels to Paris and found Natasha and made a comeback to the New York society. And after he fucked up again. No woman on from his level would date him again, so he ended up with Carrie.
Natasha was totally Big's type and I'm almost sure that she was the reason he was going to move to Paris all of a sudden. Carrie always struck me as his side chick. After all, he never introduced her to his mother and when he did introduce her to one of his friends, he mistook her for another girl. Yet Carrie was delulu enough to believe he actually valued her and wanted a serious relationship with her when everything he did was a red flag.
Oh honeyyy, when she showed up to the church where he and his mother were and dropped the Bible, I was so embarrassed for her 😩 I agree. Carrie ignored all of the signs with Big. He married her in the end, but it seemed like she felt unfulfilled, I think she loved the games and dysfunction more than she did Big.
@@iconicallyiconic She married with him because Deus Ex Machina. The writers wanted to give her a happy ending despite every single red flag in the previous seasons. Honestly, if she had realized what a toxic relationship she had with Big and decided to go her way, return to NY and keep writing, I would have hated her character less. Oh, and totally! That scene was physically painful to watch. I was SO fucking embarrassed for her. Like, girl, stand up!
@@iconicallyiconic the fact that real life Carrie and real life Big didn't end up together explains why the ending of the show and their marriage feels forced
Big never took Carrie seriously and it wasn’t until the season one finale that she finally realized that he didn’t love her. I’m not a Big fan, however, I didn’t blame him for being upset when Carrie showed up to Mr. Big’s church just to meet his mother after he told her not to. It pretty much shows that Carrie has no fucking boundaries. And then got mad when he introduced her “like a friend”. She gets on my nerves
Natasha was always warm and gracious to Carrie pre-marriage to Big and during her marriage to Big. It was Big and Carrie that were the bad ones. Thankfully, she knew her worthy enough to leave the toxic duo behind. His first ex wife and Natasha seemed to be the same type. Confident, intelligent, and each knowing their own worth.. unlike Carrie.
@citydweller99 yep it's takes two to tango. When Natasha told Carrie "you ruined my marriage", it's important to point out that Big was 50% of that affair
Although I hate Aiden. He's like Natasha and Carrie had a baby. A frustrating baby. And I hate him so much because I acted like him of all characters with my ex. 😅
What really made me loathe Carrie, is when she decided to stay in Natasha's apartment and eat Natasha's food after she used Natasha's bed. As if she had a right to lounge around in a place that isn't hers.
this is how i know natasha is better than me in every way. to say i would’ve beat the bricks off of carrie after finding her in my fucking fridge, eating MY food?? ohhh i would’ve had to be held down, she’s so much more tempered than i am. maybe someday i’ll be able to hold myself with a bit more grace and less anger lol.
I remember being 15 and watching SATC, even then I used to think that Natasha was fabulous. Carrie was such a loser , awful & jealous person. Like girlie, pick your struggle
Oh thank God, I was hoping to see this comment. My friends loved the show when it aired, and would tell me about certain episodes (sounded weird then): my folks didn't let me watch it. When I finally saw the whole series, I was glad I waited until I was in my 20s. The amount of women that related to and modeled themselves after SJP's Carrie is scary and heartbreaking
I watched the show in the 90s as a teen. I didn't model myself on anyone in the show but the way they acted and their opinions on sex and relationships really messed up my world view. That show is hella toxic.
Same. It was weird to me finding out that they tried to portray her as the boring type by dressing her in neutral clothes because I always thought she looked and acted so classy and it made Carrie's clothes and personality seem more trashy
@@sarahagoune7006 I’m surprised that Charlotte would be friends with someone like Carrie considering how much Charlotte valued marriages and relationships.
@@okiemuteoghene3697I think Charlotte loved Carrie but was willing to call her out on her BS. We all need that friend to be our moral center when our head gets too big.
@@okiemuteoghene3697 I am surprised that even Miranda is friends with Carrie. She seems to have clashing values. I can see Miranda and Charlotte being friends. And Sam too, despite her not being into marriage. At least Sam isn't a pickme like Carrie, and doesn't date men who she broke up with.
Will always stand by the fact that big settled for Carrie. She was always there and allowed any of his behavior. She played cool girl and thought it meant “dream girl”😂
Big was in his mid 50’s and tired of hunting. Even rich and successful men lose sexual stamina as they age. Carrie was there and also wanted to be Childfree so it was a good fit.
Totally agree. Heard a man like Big recently say that now that he's in his 50's, he is settling for a woman who will love him more than he loves her and who he could be certain wouldn't hurt/leave him and he is certain that his current partner fits this bill as she always gives too much for the relationship with him and was chasing him down even when he was married. Was pretty wild to my ears, as all I could think of upon hearing that is that's so Big.
Carrie pissed me off at times always taking him back. He knew if he called she would come. She did Aiden so wrong. The man that really wanted to marry her and loved her.
100% agree--i always felt that big ended up with carrie because with her he had to exert no effort to be kind, faithful or a real man--she put up with his shit no matter what and came begging back for more of his ill-treatment--their relationship exposes her low self-esteem
I wouldn't call it shine. More like money. Coming from wealth provides access, and so long as you follow the rules of your class, ease and power. And money was a major insecurity for Carrie, which is why Natasha was so triggering to her. I do appreciate that Natasha did not accept Big's cheating and divorced him. There are some women, of her same social standing, who for the sake of appearances, wouldn't have done so.
@@ariesmry Coming from wealth doesn’t automatically equate to being secure, I don’t understand how some people can’t understand that. Just because you’re wealthy doesn’t mean you somehow have zero insecurities. Carrie came from middle class and still had privilege. I grew up in NYC in Brooklyn (before gentrification) and not in Manhattan where Carrie did around wealth and other middle class people and didn’t act like Carrie did, I didn’t go around chasing men, putting down women and acting reckless with money because that’s not how I was raised. Carrie felt like she was entitled to others, their lifestyle and wealth. Idk why people are acting as if Carrie grew up in the hood because she didn’t lmao she’s a middle class vvh!te woman who has privilege over those who weren’t, the same way we had to make a way and grind, she could do so too. She was in her 30s and her behavior was unacceptable.
@@Princessdollamanda I never said that wealth automatically means someone has zero insecurity. Especially in this system, insecurity is built into the American life, no matter what class. Moments of insecurity is a part of the human experience, and this nation intentionally triggers it to create consumerism and means of control. And I agree, I do think Carrie's character was entitled, lacked self-awareness despite being a writer, and had A LOT privilege. Idk the characters background growing up, but the character in SATC lived comfortably in Manhattan on a columnist salary, one that afforded her a wardrobe of designer items. But I do think that the proximity to wealth, without being able to access it was apart of her addiction to Big, who had wealth and power, and quite frankly seemed unimpressive and obviously dysfunctional to me. Carrie isn't a real person, and some of her behavior was dramatized for the sake of creating storylines, just as Natasha's character was intentionally created to be a stark contrasts of Carrie's. But I DO think that class was an intentionally written component to how stark that contrast was.
@@ariesmry Well as someone born and raised in NYC, in order for Carrie to be living in a rent stabilized apartment it’s because it’s where she was born and raised all of her life, that part of Manhattan has been one of the wealthiest neighborhoods for decades. Carrie’s issue was that she wanted to keep up with the Joneses, and wanted to so badly be apart of high class society. While Carrie isn’t a real person (which is the obvious I’m pretty sure we all know that) I’ve met plenty of people who carry on in the same exact way Carrie does and sometimes worse. No one is responsible for your insecurities and issues, as an adult you have to work on that and fix it yourself. No one wants to constantly hear someone moping and complaining all day about this and that, either do something to improve and change it or sh u t up about it. Being upset about what someone else has is not going to change anything, like the saying goes “what I eat, don’t make you sh* t” and that’s what people need to remember.
I really liked her and wanted to know a bit more about her corporate life at ralph lauren. Natasha and his first wife had self esteem and class; loved carrie but she was his biggest fool.
Bear with me but I think Carrie actually hated Charlotte (yes her !) because she was the archetype of who she wanted to be, who her ideal type Big would have gone for. This is why she was particularly condescending towards her whenever Charlotte had issues
I think you may be on to something… I always thought it was weird when Carrie tried to come for Charlotte when she couldn’t afford to keep her apartment due to her own irresponsible financial decisions.
Interesting thoughts... When Carrie was being "evicted" by Aidan and they were all saying how they were all buyers, Carrie was salty Charlotte "didn't pay for hers". Then felt entitled to Charlotte's money and ring. All that episode made it very clear there was some bitterness towards Charlotte's wealth
I don't trust women who identify with and get upset at people who don't like Carrie, a woman who was always in competition with the next woman, a pick me, a woman who was jealous of her friends and slept with a married man just because she felt like he was still hers in some way. We all make mistakes, but Carrie knows exactly what she's doing and does it well into her 50s. There are women out here who act just like Carrie and see nothing wrong with their behavior and love to point the finger at others for why they did this or that rather than taking accountability for their own actions. She wreaked havoc in Natasha's life and thought Natasha owed her something... talk about a self-centered person. Natasha was beautiful, classy, had self-esteem and didn't need a man to validate her, she knew she was that girl even if Carrie wanted to lie to herself and call her "boring" Natasha's presence alone spoke for itself.
A big problem is the TV show portraying Carrie as the “hero” - manipulating an entire generation of young ladies into thinking that her behaviour is totally cool. Many girls don’t have the best upbringing, some parents don’t talk to them about relationships at all, and so they watch these kinds of TV shows, unconsciously absorbing it all without realising that the “hero” they are told to worship is actually a big fat mess.
@stefanie.elinor THIS!!! 💯 Too many shows do this actually smh. Most people can't see it they just consume it and subconsciously emulate it. One of the biggest reasons society is a hot mess rn.
Bigs only complaint about Natasha was that everything is beige. He was always looking for the next thrill - once he got the beautiful classy nearly unattainable woman he could not stay because he only knows how to look for the next high, not how to live a meaningful life. Remember when he dated the movie star and he was obsessed with the fact that "she can reach me, but I can't reach her". Relationships are a power play for him, and for most men.
What you said about the best revenge being “having peace and living well” is so true. I wish some women would understand that, having someone just to have to someone who is doing nothing but adding stress to your life is not a win and it does no good for your health. I loved that Natasha knew her worth and walked away doing what was best for her and not to try to prove a point like so many women do. I wanted there to be an episode from Natasha’s POV- her confronting Big, the conversation they had etc. Carrie always liked to play victim when she was clearly the villain
@@LoveK1 Right! I think she had a good group of friends and family helping her through that tough time. We saw how her friend had her back at that restaurant when she bumped into Carrie, she let Carrie know just with a look that she was trifling
Is true. We don't see or hear a peep about Natasha lurking in the background of Carrie and Big's failed big wedding with an "I told you so!" No. Natasha got on her life which extended far beyond a fickle insecure man such as Big. Natasha was happy never to see or think of Carrie Bradshaw again -- it was CARRIE who forced an awkward confrontation about a clause in Big's will that had nothing to do with her -- as usual.
@@leiiib Very well stated! You are absolutely correct and this not only applies with men but so called friends and even family. But staying on topic definitely having a man just to say you have one when there is no value is nonsense and a struggle life I don’t want.
Natasha was 100% a victim. She was in her early to mid 20s when she married “Mr Big” So I think had Natasha been in her mid 30s she would have been more aggressive towards Carrie. I think the fact she chased Carrie out of her apartment showed her bravery and self worth.
Ohmigosh! I am 33, almost 34, which is the age Carrie was during this part of the show. It's hitting me super hard just how awful it is that Natasha was only 25. For me and the women I know, the difference in confidence and assertiveness between those ages is huge. I would be ashamed to treat any woman as poorly as Natasha was treated, but it's especially horrifying to think of doing that to a younger woman in her mid-20s.
She wasn't a victim. First thing she says to Carrie is "I've heard so much about you". Why would you discuss your ex with your new love.. She choose to ignore Big's feelings
@@steblair it's a little exaggeration that she was 100% victim. Natasha was 26, when they were engaged. When she met Big she was already 25 I guess. When you're in your mid 20s you're for sure not as much gullible as you were when you were for example 20/22.
Man everything Charlotte said to her was so perfect Also Carrie insisting she’s not the other woman is the exact same energy as Rory Gilmore saying “he’s MY Dean”🤦♀️😂
@@alexmoon066Carrie and Rory are actually a lot alike. It’s funny because Carrie found her match with Big and Rory found her match with Logan. Who also is marrying someone else for status like Big did.😂
I just realized that Natasha nearly everytime (or always?) is in light/white clothes before the breakup - maybe to undermine her „perfectness“ and future role as his wife; and maybe even to be a blank canvas for Carrie to project anything she could think of. After that we see Natasha in light pink dresses, white mixed with red… her hurt and wounded heart; or being a single „Girl“ again that just wanted to be in a relationship and to be a wife (bride). That is great costume designing, very simple but so telling 👏
It seems to also be significant that Carrie and Samantha are seen as less stable in their blondeness but Samantha embraced that while Carrie pretended to be looking for, "love".
@@PamperedFurnishings I don't know about that, I doubt that hair color is meant to be symbolic (the role of Samantha was originally offered to Dana Delaney, a brunette, who turned it down). Carrie contrasts herself with Natasha in ways both negative and positive, perceiving Natasha as "perfect", devoid of insecurities and having everything in her life totally together, but also as someone bland and flavorless with no personality, substance or depth to her character.
It always broke my heart when Natasha said "i knew you were having an affair but not in my house"... she knew all along and didn't say anything. And that may have surprised us because she seemed so poised, calm, and collected outwardly, to the point of naivety even. But like Charlotte said to Carrie after she found out 'you don't know her, you don't know anything about her'. Natasha was clearly more observant and smart than she was presented, and we only really explicitly saw this when Carrie tried to 'apologise' to her which was met with the most elegant, sophisticated equivalent of a 'fuck you' from Natasha. I wish she had more screen time.
Absolutely loved charlotte’s confrontation to Carrie about sleeping with big… I always admired how she always stood by on her morals based in empathy while so often the other women were enabling selfish behavior
Something about Natasha made me unable to warm up to her. Not sure what exactly what it was. Really hated that Big dragged her into his and Carrie's dysfunction. Whatever her faults, she didn't deserve that.
He was very into that whole Connecticut preppy vibe. Hopefully he wouldn’t have hardened Charlotte too much. Also we would have missed having Kyle McLachlan in the series most likely if she got with Big
I always felt that Natasha got the better end of it, after all was said and done. Remarried with two boys. She was the winner in the end and Carrie was still as neurotic as ever.
@@harmonyae7033 I agree. More like Gucci or Versace. Very “designer, expensive, a little tacky, a lot colorful and no wealth because I’ve spent all my money on shoes”
Carrie was an awful character. Selfish, inconsiderate, self centered and delusional. Big settled for Carrie because she kept coming back to him. She loved him, way more than he ever loved her. Being the other woman, is never acceptable. And she dragged Aidan through the mud too. She’s insufferable.
She was so stand offish and rude when she first met her, like your problem is not Natasha girl. It's Big. She acted like Natasha was the other woman!! Natasha didn't even take her anger out on Carrie when she carried on an affair with Big, she confronted her when she was in her home but afterwards, she wanted nothing to do with Carrie nor Big and yet Carrie couldn't just leave her alone, I think she knew she wasn't Big's type and it made her more insecure than she already was.
It’s crazy after their affair is no longer a secret, they stop seeing each other as well. Like, what is as it all for? If they didn’t stay together, then it was just an attempt to break out of their commitments to their partners.
He wasn't even planning on telling her he was moving to California. lol She mainly stood up to him and called him on his shit when she was seeing someone else. If she was unattached, he could do whatever he wanted. The characters would treat anyone younger than them like idiot children because they supposedly knew better due to age. But Carrie was a fool into her 40s.
Wonderful analysis. Reminded of how young and hopeful Natasha was during this very painful time in her short marriage dealing with her cheating husband’s much older ex is giving me Princess Diana and Camila angst. Grace, poise and self respect will always win out.
Natasha was 25 and Big was in his 40s, now I don't find like a 5-10-year age difference wrong when the woman is in her 30s because I feel like that's when we've matured most and know what we like, have a bit more experience with how to navigate in relationships etc. but for him to have had 20 years on her was strange, you barely had anything in common aside from wealth and you go and prove it when you cheat on her with Carrie. Natasha deserved much better than that, he couldn't even tell Carrie exactly why his marriage "wasn't working out" they were all minor things. He and Carrie didn't like people who genuinely loved them and weren't toxic. Her with Aiden and him with Natasha
@@1Skorpia Carrie right? I agree, she loved the idea of Big and that was his status, wealth and power. I don't find it wrong to want to be with a man of means but you can't have it both ways, like complaining about him not having time for you and not understanding his job, while wanting to benefit from it. Natasha had an established career, grew up in wealth so on that level she and Big made sense, but he wasn't ready for that and Carrie accepted the bare minimum, so he got comfortable with that
@@jellyrolly I think she may have thought that since he was older he would be more mature and ready to settle down. Most of the young guys in her circle probably weren’t ready to be married yet because they were young, partying, traveling etc. and she probably wanted to start building her family, she already had the career, but she wanted the family.
It's interesting that in all the clips of Natasha while she's still with John, Natasha is wearing white and maybe white and beige. But in the lunch Carrie interrupts, Natasha is wearing pink. Maybe ditching the man gave her life some color 💗 I also noticed that Charlotte is wearing white too in the scene where she defends Natasha. The insight that Carrie is afraid Charlotte is more John's type is pretty spot on too.
@@HelloDecember525 True, but more like the pure hearted one. Telling Carrie she was a cheater ass CONCIOUSLY and was being a bad person (clearly not deserving the white coloring). It helped emphasize, how Carrie was being toxic and cruel by diminishing the harm she was causing an innocent woman.
I also like to think the neutrals Natasha wore were a way to show that she was being projected onto by Carrie and Big. Carrie saw her as perfect and hated her for that. Both Carrie and Big alluded to her being simple, dull, and beige as a person. We didn't get to see Natasha as a real person because she wasn't treated like one. After Carrie caused Natasha to have an accident, it jarred her awake into realizing Natasha was real. So we get to see her wearing color, and her tooth is discolored and no longer perfect white.
I was a pick me like Carrie in college but I can say without a doubt that I NEVER got with a married man. A married man approached me in college and tried to flirt with me but I told him to go back to his wife and kids. I also went to therapy and I can say without a doubt that I’m no longer a pick me and I started setting boundaries and putting myself first. I have also been in Natasha’s shoes and my ex cheated on me with his best friend who acted just like Carrie. I caught his best friend sneaking into his window late at night and they both lied to my face but I still broke up with him. Carrie was dead wrong for sleeping with a married man and had the nerve to run after being confronted by Natasha and she’s the reason Natasha lost her tooth. Natasha is who I aim to be like.
I think it's nice to see this, because I don't want any woman to believe they deserve to be treated like Carrie. You should see yourself as worthy of real love and view other women not solely as competition. Men tear us down enough, so I love the thought that we'll all mature enough not to add to that.
I'm trying to be like Natasha when I grow up. Lol. She handled everything so well. I can't lie. I would watch a mini series from her perspective. Carrie got her sloppy seconds and bread crumbs. She happily took pieces of a man and still wasn't happy when she got what she begged for.
Same. I'm 57 and want to be a Natasha. Haven't had great luck with men, only had one boyfriend in my life. I want to elevate other areas in my life. I want to live so that other envy me. That's goals.
Exactly did all of that just for the man to still choose Natasha by leaving her a million dollars when he died, this is the greatest slap in the face to her and she deserved it😂
I actually never hated Natasha. I felt bad for her and wished we got to see her more. Like Carrie, Natasha is one of those women I envy and want to be more like in some ways. Unlike Carrie, I have self-awareness about my insecurities and don't take them out on other women. I also know my worth and would never put up with a man like Big. It's nice to see so many people looking back on this show (that we love) and reevaluating characters and other aspects.
Recently I decided to cut communication with a crush that was breadcrumbing me and this video made me feel so much better about my decision. Seeing how dignified Natasha was leaving a bad relationship is aspirational.
NaTasha gave Carrie a well deserved reading. Going back and watching the show with adult, married with children eyes there were so many episodes that had me like WHAT in the world. SATC was a trip. I need to watch AJLT too. Thank you for the wonderful content and review.
Ok, the way you made the connection between Natasha and Charlotte in Carrie's mind? I have been unconsciously thinking that FOREVER and not quite being able to put my finger on it. Genius. ❤️
Natasha and Charlotte are both similar: They're both attractive brunettes, they both came from upper class families and their wardrobes are similar, except for the fact that Natasha wore mostly white while Charlotte wore a lot of bright colors.
Natasha is a polished and refined woman. She has her life together. She wasn’t willing to play the will they won’t they game with big. Unlike Carrie, Natasha didn’t give in when big disrespected her. She divorced his ass because she wasn’t willing to be played around with. Big wanted someone whom he could treat like garbage and still have running back to him, he treated her badly and she was gone. I love Natasha, despite her small role in the show she was full of dignity and poise.
Natasha was actually nice and wasn’t bullying or trying to be mean to Carrie. Also Carrie calls Natasha a “simple girl” despite the fact that one of her best friends, charlotte is a quote on quote “simple girl” herself. Carrie wished she was like Natasha and Charlotte especially when it came to social positioning. Carrie has a class insecurity and it shows. Especially in the men she chooses as well. She always goes for men who are extremely rich and are “better” than her in terms of social standing. Which is why her and Aiden never worked out Aiden isn’t above her.
@@JL-ow5hp Charlotte kind of called Carrie out when she put two and two together that Carrie and Big were having an affair. As Charlotte said, “what if it were me?”. Not that Carrie would sleep with Charlotte’s fiancé, but how similar Natasha and Charlotte are and their milestones. And how Charlotte can empathize with Natasha.
Yeah there’s nothing wrong with being a “simple girl”. And what does that even mean? Lacking in neuroses? Sure of oneself? Having a smaller color palette?
@@MalloryNewcomb I think the simple girl thing is referring to the way that class has their life paved out way in advance for them so they just stroll down it, simply. There’s not all the detours like Carrie with affairs & insane luncheons & sneaking around & stuff, no rule breaking
I think it's because now they were older we look back on perhaps maybe some of us did feel bad for Carrie and we were on Car side because we thought Big was the problem and didn't appreciate caring for who she is and what she could offer. But that's just a thing Carrie had nothing to offer big but to sooth his inflated ego because she chased after him for 10 years was not a woman of self-worth or self-respect she was a desperate, pathetic little girl who always wanted to point the finger at others instead of pointing them at herself. I remember back then lots of young ladies wanted to be just like Carrie or be just like Samantha not realizing that later on in life it's going to come and bite you in the ass and you're gonna wind up lonely cat lady, look at all these years in her 50s she's alone and she has a cat! The irony! I think now looking back years later that it wasn't glamorous to bed hop and to try to be an independent boss B word and think that's a flex because it isn't. Carrie was a huge influence on so many yet a lot of people didn't realize that she was not someone to look up to. She was actually someone to look down upon Because she did so many terrible things and expected her friends to validate her bad behavior.
I never understood why Carrie approached them at the Hamptons party in the first place. If I was her I would go to another place or leave but definitely not introduce myself wearing that outfit 😅
...how come NOBODY is mentioning how Natasha SLAMMED the lock on the back Taxi Cab Door (when Carrie tired to get back there with her), when she tried to rush Natasha to the Hospital!? ...THAT, was when I knew Natasha was *THAT CHICK!* (8:32) ...ha-HAA!!
Once I grew up I realized Natasha was the real winner. Character, class, and self respect- can’t think of a better outcome for a woman. Whereas carrie was deeply insecure and clutched onto any crumbs of validation and male attention
The way I would've gotten an order of protection against Carrie, because why are you popping up at my job, requesting me on SM, knowing where I live??? etc. that's scary behavior. Natasha was a sweetheart because even after that she sat down with her because she felt bad for her, very classy woman. Glad she moved onto bigger and better things. Imagine your ex-husbands wife who he cheated on you with is st a lking you years later because she wants answers about why he left you a million dollars 🤦🏾♀ Carrie was shameless lmao
Love this video. I always disliked Carrie's character. She was immature, and a social climber. She was definitely not a "girls girl". And Big always made a fool of her. He knew she would put up with anything from him. I always liked Charlotte and Samantha. Out of all the characters they seemed grounded in their identities, even though they were on opposite ends of the spectrum, with Samantha prefer non-exclusivity and Charlotte wanting a traditional marriage and family.
@@FayeBeSimmin I liked Amanda the most: she was the one who had the realest problems: boss doesnt like her, gets cat called on the street, wonders about her style, .... she wasnt really charming, or good in bed, or anything, just a normal woman going through normal stuff in life.
Natasha also ignored his red flags. Big was a known playboy and she thought he would actually change for her, and he didn’t. Big was the type of man who wanted to pretend like he was a better man than he was and that’s why he married her. Natasha made him feel better about himself and gave him social clout, that’s why he married her. a true narcissist
@2:30 Side chicks have no decency, their very nature is indecent, lol. Natasha was young and came from a higher class. I don’t get how Natasha even fell for Big, he wasn’t charming to me.
The real sad part is that the person who wrote the articles on which the series is based on never married her "Mr. Big". She's wildly successful but recently admitted to regretting having chosen a career over having children because as she is now in her 60s, she's "truly alone." Which isn't to say that childless women aren't happy, rather that she's finally starting to realize that chasing after men, money, and material things, isn't the flex she thought it was, and completely wasted her youth. Perhaps if she had been more like Charlotte and Natasha, as "boring" as that was compared to club hopping well into your 30s and 40s, she would've at least had the option. If she were smart she would've use her connection to Charlotte to network and elevate her life. Instead she makes snarky comments about her money and continues to act like a teenager with her first credit card. In real life, Charlotte would've distanced herself away from Carrie as it became clear that she's too immature to be sitting at the same table. As a married woman, especially in high society, the last thing you want around is some regular chickenhead who is perfectly comfortable sleeping with married men.
I haven’t watched the new series but there should be an episode where Carrie thinks if she did make right choice with her abortion now that she is widowed and distanced from Samantha (I doubt she is coming back) and apparently Miranda was moving too? And Charlotte has her family and her own issues (and she can Carrie weren’t that close to rely on when she becomes 80), and Standford’s actor has died so I assume the character has too? I haven’t seen the new show but just heard things of it. Even if by episodes end Carrie decides she doesn’t need kids (and she apparently has some new friends) it’s should be something she thinks right now in her life.
Carrie was obsessed with all the aspects of Natasha that Big chose to leave her for. The obsession comes from the fact that she will never be that way, and can't come to terms. I think the disfunction from Carrie came because it really messed with her self confidence and ego. Carrie often struggled with matters of the ego, and codependency. This is just my observation, but she often dismissed what her friends would say if it did not align with her "fantasy" of the moment. Carrie is a creative, emotional, and a free spirit - the trouble with that is that people like us don't seem to "grow up" with the rest around us. The fact that Natasha handled the situation so well, the entire time, messed with Carrie too. She could not stand that the more she fought against Natasha and Big being together, the more embarrassing it made her look. Carrie probably also really respected Natasha's archetype, seeing that Big fell so hard for her, AND the fact Big couldn't articulate his real emotions, I can see how it confused Carrie all the more. Carrie sees Big with Natasha and thinks, "this is the life Big was searching for, that's what he meant when he said he couldn't commit to me", and she says that part aloud. What she's thinking and not telling everyone, but you see in her actions, "I need to see what the big difference between her and me is, seeing that she is acting so opposite than me in this situation, I know I am in the wrong. I can't stand the thought of Big with someone else, but I know he can't be happy with me, however, if I can show him that I am better by disregarding my self worth and being wherever he needs me for an affair, perhaps I will win him over and show them BOTH that I am better and worthy of this." Of course this messes with Carries perception of herself and that becomes obvious when we see she just can't face Natasha. She knew she f*ed up, and she knew deep down she was way better than that behavior. We can tell Natasha's inner monologue is probably a bit calmer, but we KNOW she's at least thinking "man, I really hope I am wrong about all this," you can tell she really doesn't want the beef with Carrie, to be fighting over a man. Carrie couldn't get over the ego wound Big gave her when he cheated and left, and instead of aligning herself more with her own words from her column and with herself and her friends, she actively chose to pursue the favor of a Red Flag Man. Big also probably would have grown and had a happy life with Natasha if Carrie hadn't been so receptive of his stupidity. At the end of the day, I still blame the man. Big was a POS, never deserved Carrie OR Natasha imo with his manspreading all over the world, if that dude just knew what he wanted and acted like a good person, neither of those good women would have had to deal with any of this- I just wish there was a deleted scene somewhere of Samantha kicking him in the b@lls because I know she'd have been the one just waaaaaiting to do it for years.
@@AeliaReadsBooks Also, Carrie wearing that bright pink bra with a very see through shirt was tacky and trashy. Something Natasha would never wear in public.
The lunch Carrie bombarded still remains one of the most unhinged TV moments I’ve ever seen! To recap: 1) Carrie harassed and stalked Natasha to a restaurant. 2) Immediately intruded, took Natasha’s glass and DRANK from it! 3) Had the gall to look like she was waiting for an apology with that “You are?…” 4) Wore that fabulous Dior newspaper dress as her husband’s mistress UNHINGED!
That was so unhinged! I never understood what she was hoping to achieve by meeting Natasha at that time -- that woman divorced that cheater and moved on, there is nothing for her to say to Carrie at that point in her life. The time to talk was when Natasha caught her in her home. Instead of running down the stairs like a thief, that was the time for Carrie to face the music and have a conversation with her.
@@annaguobadia4587 if Natasha was a pick me she would’ve forgiven Bigs bad behavior over and over again like Carrie did. Carrie is the greatest example of a “pick me, love me” kind of girl.
Great analysis on Natasha and Carrie's dynamic. Carrie was envious of Natasha's grace, poise, and high class lifestyle. Carrie knew she could never be that. She probably only wanted to be that way to be noticed by Big. She made it all about gaining validation. Big probably sensed that, which is why he kept her on the side and was never serious about her. Natasha knew her worth and was true to herself. That's the way! ♡
Natasha is my new role model. I love this video as it helped me realize how I shouldn't be bitter because my ex was quite similar to big, while i was quite similar to Natasha. I always thought i was the toned down version of Carrie. which didn't seem right but i never looked at how i am similar to Natasha... Which is why im finally choosing peace over bitterness! thank you for this video!!
Anyone noticed how after Big messed up and divorced Natasha he had changed completely. Before he divorced her he was upbeat, funny, vibrant, talkative. Afterwards with Carrie he was aloof, distant, smile that didn’t reach his eyes, slowed down didn’t like socializing anymore. I think he regrets losing Natasha which is why he left her in his will. Carrie was just the girl whom he knew would never leave so he just chose her. You can tell even after he got with Carrie he didn’t want her. Didn’t really even propose to her. Left her at the altar. How many signs Big showed he really didn’t love Carrie. He still loved Natasha. Carrie was just deluded for 10 years.
Video didn’t even start yet and title is my exact thoughts lol Carrie was pressed the moment she met Natasha. Bridget Moynahan has always been so beautiful to me and a fellow Taurus like you lol
I once met a guy like Big. I pray to God that I never find someone like that ever again… re watching SATC, i realized how toxic Big and Carrie’s relationship was
Her read in that restaurant was iconic. She took responsibility for not wanting to acknowledge Big's sketchiness while letting Carrie know she had no time for either of them any more and wouldn't make the same mistake again.
Back then, even fans bashed the actress because the show painted Natasha as the one who “took big away.” In retrospect, people have finally seen how toxic Carrie was and Natasha was the true victim. Carrie was the protagonist, so we were wired to see things from her point of view… but we’re older and with video essays like this, it makes us look at things from a different view.
This is such a great break down of Natasha, Big and Carrie. Looking at this through more mature eyes, I'm team Natasha. She deserved a better man then Big.
Natasha had so much grace. I bet she knew from the beginning that Carrie was in love with her husband, but felt sympathy and pity for her. Empathy can make you look like an easy fool, easy to betray
When I saw Sex and the City in my twenties, I thought Carrie was charmingly chaotic. But now that I'm in my forties, I see that Carrie is childish and very immature for her age. When I see the picture of Carrie and Natasha together, Carrie who is in her late 30s is dressed as a twenty year old is on her way to a party and Natasha who is in her twenties is dressed as an adult says it all
I cant believe she thought Natasha would actually apologize to her! I don’t like how Samantha didn’t hold her accountable at all during this affair but I guess she agreed because she also slept around with married men. Carrie is the fun party girl, who doesn’t know what she wants until she sees someone else with it. In reality a marriage with Carrie and Big would last at the MOST a few months. I’m not the biggest fan of Big lol what I will say though is that he showed and told Carrie EXACTLY WHO HE WAS and it’s like she wanted to be the woman who could “change” him rather than just letting him go. I only watched a few clips in AJLT and her st@|king Natasha was soooooo out of pocket
I think part of the reason why Sam didn’t call Carrie out because if she did, classic Carrie would’ve thrown Samantha’s affairs up in her face. But also, Samantha isn’t the judgmental type.
@@niabelizaire3596that makes sense, but Samantha also made Carrie feel like she wasn’t wrong at all, she made a lot of rude remarks about Natasha and brushed off Carrie cheating on Aiden and told her there was nothing wrong with what she was doing. She enabled a lot of her behavior
@Princessdollamanda Samantha also didn't have the complex Carrie did. If she was the bad guy she owned it and her confidence was through the roof. She didn't yearn to be part of that uppercrust world anyway and didn't think anyone was above her nor vice versa.
@@theechubbyone Complex about herself or not. Right is right and wrong is wrong and I love Samantha, but in real life when you see friends do certain things to other people and enable it, it’s only a matter of time before it’s your turn and they make you a villain in their mind because you finally went against something they said/did. You don’t have to bash another woman because she’s your friends ex boyfriend’s wife, and then tell your friend it’s okay to sleep with a married man because her current boyfriend didn’t say - I love you. So just because she “owned up” to her behavior doesn’t make her some superior being
Never have I watched Sex and the City, but after watching this whole video, I'd love to watch a series about Natasha 😍 Carrie sounds like a super unappealing character
When I was younger and first watched SATC, I thought Carrie was the best character. Now I realize that she is a trainwreck and the most selfish and judgmental one on the series.
I love this video. Natasha also taught woman that just because a man chooses you doesn't mean he will commit to you. Big was of poor character and showed a man will never change not even for the woman he truly wants. Natasha was wise enough to learn that early and dropped him
Natasha was class and maturity all the way. I always loved the moments when Carrie was contrasted against mature, self assured women. She looked so childish next to Natasha or Enid. Even Amelita (or what that Italian woman who paid for her Dolce shoes was) owned being a sugar baby with confidence, whereas Carrie tried to pretend that she was doing anything but looking for a man to take care of her, which is clearly what she wanted and needed. Another great scene was when Carrie and the Russian were at Pastis and the art critic lady came in with her male artist friend. The art lady was comfortable speaking for speaking up, getting the attention of the waiter and getting a wine list and everything for them. I feel like Carrie would have let the man do the talking in a busy restaurant. She expected Carrie to have opinions about The Russian’s art, and assumed she wrote for the NYT when Carrie said she was a writer because in Art Lady’s world there were probably lots of successful professional women. Also Art Lady has platonic straight male friends, whereas Carrie could only have a gay male friend. I wish the show built more permanent characters and longer story lines around the contrast between Carrie and these women, and how they seem to clock her childishness and weren’t at all charmed by her. The only permanent characters like that were “safe” for Carrie as they were her 3 other friends.
Natasha was a truly high-value woman, I find myself mesmerized by her character, and how she carries herself and only exists, she is mysterious, classy and the type of person who doesn't put her energy and waste her time into people like Carrie, that's why Carrie constantly stalks her and wants her approval because she hates her, but also hates the fact that she can't tolerate not being more like her. Also Big had a case of ''Madona whore complex'' that's why he settled for Natasha for the clean image she represented to society but he wasn't fully invested in her since he is a liar and a cheater as well as Carrie. Natasha is not only a beautiful face, she's the ultimate goal and her only existence lives in Carrie's head rent-free
Terrific video analysis. Here's my problem with Carrie, she never grows from this. I dont mind the cheating plot line, because in the end we are all human. We are flawed and make mistakes. At 18 years old, I was in love with my boyfriend who didnt love me the same way and instead of moving on, i thought if i show him i love him, he'll come around. He cheated on me and got married to his new girlfriend that he cheated on me with. When I was 19 years old, I had an affair with a married man who later said he wanted to be with me because he was unhappy in his marriage. It was then in my revolution that there was something wrong with me. I was seeking approval from men. I was insecure and ashamed because if the married man I was with could so easily betray his wife, I'm no better than my ex. Im 39 years old now. I'm happily married to man who loves and respects me. It took me a few years and therapy to realize my worth and others worth as well. You can't bring happiness to yourself by bringing misery to others. If the writers could have had Carrie just at least have one scene if not a story line just about realizing how wrong she was about Big and her affair with him, I would have given her a little more respect. But no, she continues to use and hurt others. She's not a bad person in the sense that she INTENTIONALLY hurts others, but she's a bad person that she doesn't take or own responsibility for when she does. She's supposed to be an adult but still acts like she's in junior high. She never grows as a character at all in the series. That's what is so frustrating. All the girls grew into women at the end of the show except Carrie. Charlotte learns that love isn't home and gardens, it's the one you least suspect that will change your life for the better. Miranda learns to compromise and what selfless love is instead of always putting her career first above other. Samantha opens her heart to a man who loves and adores her and lets herself love and be loved. What does Carrie do? She ends up with walking red flag Big. He doesn't respect her or truly love her, she just wouldn't stop kissing his butt. The minute Carrie told him to forget her name, he freaked out because he had no control over her. That's why he wanted her more than ever.
The older I get the more I realize that Carrie was the villain in her own story.

Charlotte may have her quirks but she was the moral compass of their group. She would never have gotten involved with a married man. Called Carrie on her B.S. but still remained a friend.

While Carrie isn’t a real person (which is the obvious I’m pretty sure we all know that) I’ve met plenty of people who carry on in the same exact way Carrie does and sometimes worse. No one is responsible for your insecurities and issues, as an adult you have to work on that and fix it yourself.

I feel like Carrie was very childish at times. She talked about Big like he was a high school crush.
@@niabelizaire3596 yeah she is more like a teenager to me
@stefanie.elinor THIS!!! 💯 Too many shows do this actually smh. Most people can't see it they just consume it and subconsciously emulate it. One of the biggest reasons society is a hot mess rn.
@@stefanie.elinorI agree on your point- although I do feel like the writers are clear when they talk about Carrie that she is an antihero
BIG: An adult baby aka man child. He was a human locust who left a path of destruction wherever he went.
somatic narcissism
What you said about the best revenge being “having peace and living well” is so true. I wish some women would understand that, having someone just to have to someone who is doing nothing but adding stress to your life is not a win and it does no good for your health. I loved that Natasha knew her worth and walked away doing what was best for her and not to try to prove a point like so many women do. I wanted there to be an episode from Natasha’s POV- her confronting Big, the conversation they had etc. Carrie always liked to play victim when she was clearly the villain
Oh, to be a fly on that wall. I would have LOVED to see her friends and family consoling her too! She was such a gem and I bet they all knew it too.
@@LoveK1 Right! I think she had a good group of friends and family helping her through that tough time. We saw how her friend had her back at that restaurant when she bumped into Carrie, she let Carrie know just with a look that she was trifling
Yep! All of this!
She was in her early to mid 20s when she married “Mr Big”
So I think had Natasha been in her mid 30s she would have been more aggressive towards Carrie.
You're a girl in your mid 20s. Carrie was a grown woman. And then continued to behave like a little girl into her 40s.
@@steblair it's a little exaggeration that she was 100% victim. Natasha was 26, when they were engaged. When she met Big she was already 25 I guess. When you're in your mid 20s you're for sure not as much gullible as you were when you were for example 20/22.
@@Hera4She was being polite... I don't think big told her they were in a relationship

😅 exactly! Carrie and Rory are both the most delulu girls who think they’re so perfect the world is turning around them 😅😅😅😅
@@alexmoon066Carrie and Rory are actually a lot alike.
@TheWhiteermine mhmm, Natasha was that model bride type. simple, clean, classic style
I think it's more because wearing neutrals is an old money aesthetic and it's meant to contrast her with Carrie, who dresses kind of crazy.
@@TheWhiteermine big was also at fault it takes 2 to tango
Women should aspire to be Natasha
Yes 💯😊
Something about Natasha made me unable to warm up to her. Not sure what exactly what it was. Really hated that Big dragged her into his and Carrie's dysfunction. Whatever her faults, she didn't deserve that.
Absofuckinglutely!
yes they should
I'm not a fan of her love for neutrals, but in terms of class, I agree.
I'm still convinced if Big had met Charlotte first, he would have married her without any hesitation.
He was very into that whole Connecticut preppy vibe. Hopefully he wouldn’t have hardened Charlotte too much.
Also we would have missed having Kyle McLachlan in the series most likely if she got with Big
This!
I mean they dated in real life :)
I don't think Charlotte would've agreed to marry him cuz she would've seen the red flags lol
@@cleverjade巧玉 Right! People don’t give Charlotte enough credit. Charlotte would’ve refused a lot of what BIG had to offer.

Carrie did leave them alone. It was Big that pursued her again even coming to her apartment and nearly coming face to face with Aidan
I always felt that Natasha got the better end of it, after all was said and done. Remarried with two boys. She was the winner in the end and Carrie was still as neurotic as ever.

@@JessAharon Carrie was always the other woman even while her and big were dating.

I've always liked natasha . She was a high value woman unlike carrie she was a total doormat
6:51 Carrie is so delusional, she thinks they had this great love story, she was barely above a booty call to him
It’s crazy after their affair is no longer a secret, they stop seeing each other as well.
Damn... you right.
Wonderful analysis. Reminded of how young and hopeful Natasha was during this very painful time in her short marriage dealing with her cheating husband’s much older ex is giving me Princess Diana and Camila angst. Grace, poise and self respect will always win out.
WOW!!! I’ve never thought about that before. Excellent point. 🤯
She wanted his money.
@@1Skorpia Carrie right? I agree, she loved the idea of Big and that was his status, wealth and power. I don't find it wrong to want to be with a man of means but you can't have it both ways, like complaining about him not having time for you and not understanding his job, while wanting to benefit from it. Natasha had an established career, grew up in wealth so on that level she and Big made sense, but he wasn't ready for that and Carrie accepted the bare minimum, so he got comfortable with that
I wonder what Natasha saw in Big. Aren't there also rich young guys in her circle?
@@jellyrolly I think she may have thought that since he was older he would be more mature and ready to settle down. Most of the young guys in her circle probably weren’t ready to be married yet because they were young, partying, traveling etc. and she probably wanted to start building her family, she already had the career, but she wanted the family.
@@beautelle1065yeah she was obsessed with the concept of "big" big is better bigger money ect. She saw him as a concept. Natasha saw him as John.
It's interesting that in all the clips of Natasha while she's still with John, Natasha is wearing white and maybe white and beige. But in the lunch Carrie interrupts, Natasha is wearing pink. Maybe ditching the man gave her life some color 💗
I also noticed that Charlotte is wearing white too in the scene where she defends Natasha. The insight that Carrie is afraid Charlotte is more John's type is pretty spot on too.
Yeah I noticed that too
White = purity, innocence etc
She's the innocent one in the situation
@@HelloDecember525 True, but more like the pure hearted one. Telling Carrie she was a cheater ass CONCIOUSLY and was being a bad person (clearly not deserving the white coloring). It helped emphasize, how Carrie was being toxic and cruel by diminishing the harm she was causing an innocent woman.
@@becac1655 I was referring to Natasha being the innocent one (seen wearing white) she was the one cheated on
I also like to think the neutrals Natasha wore were a way to show that she was being projected onto by Carrie and Big.
The fact that she was still stalking this lady after he died, says a lot.
Exactly did all of that just for the man to still choose Natasha by leaving her a million dollars when he died, this is the greatest slap in the face to her and she deserved it😂
I think big could be played by an older Jacob Elordi and Natasha by Gal Gadot or something
@bebeenderson7863 Jake would be perfect honestly.

Solid take on Carrie and Natasha's dynamic. I'm glad women are able to see the reality of this situation more clearly nowadays.
Carrie treated Big like the prize while Big treated Natasha like the prize.
I loved that Charlotte called Carrie out on her BS and kept her foot on her throat about the cheating
Natasha was so elegant and classy. She reminded me of a modern Audrey Hepburn. Of course John wanted to marry her. She was stunning.
Bridget Moynahan should've been featured more, she was awesome in this role
Aiden was very successful (not Big level rich, but doing better than Carrie!); he didn’t care about society or being a socialite.
Yeah there’s nothing wrong with being a “simple girl”. And what does that even mean? Lacking in neuroses? Sure of oneself? Having a smaller color palette?

Natasha also ignored his red flags. Big was a known playboy and she thought he would actually change for her, and he didn’t. Big was the type of man who wanted to pretend like he was a better man than he was and that’s why he married her. @@williamj.dovejr.8613 No, she got the better end of that triangle
When did you stop calling her the idiot stick figure? Because Carrie is the idiot stick figure. And I think she kind of realized that.
A true case of the pot calling the kettle black.

I wish I could be like Natasha.
So calm and classy who knows her value.
And he want pauses when she confessed to kissing Aiden. He was like meh whateva. Big didn’t love Carrie.
He wasn’t pissed when she kissed Aiden. No love for Carrie. Just the last girl standing.
Leaving her at the altar was so foul. And she still took him back!😮 I couldn't take Carrie seriously after that 🤦♀️
The worst thing Carrie did was cheat on Aidan with Big. She had everything with Aidan and self-sabotaged the relationship all on her own.
Charlotte is/was my fave character. I love what she embodies and how she carries herself! I loved how she called out Carrie. 💛
Video didn’t even start yet and title is my exact thoughts lol Carrie was pressed the moment she met Natasha. Bridget Moynahan has always been so beautiful to me and a fellow Taurus like you lol
I didn't know OP was a Taurus too! Ayy Taurus Gang haha! ♉
Taurus here, april 21@@haute03
Im a Taurus too! May 13!! 💕🥰
watching SATC I always thought Natasha had big taurus energy! As a fellow taurus I love to see gorgeous taurus women ❤
if my man left me for someone like Natasha i wouldn't even be mad at him😂😂 like, man, i see your point and i respect you for this 😂😂
Here’s the thing,a woman like Natasha would never settle for being the other woman.
@@tanyamoretz 🤣🤣🤣
The concept of success in " The Art of Seductive Power" book completely explains this. I wish I read it sooner.
Bridget Moynahan aged so gracefully😍 Very refreshing
This video made me realize she was almost always in white. The other colors she wore were also very light.
Remember how Natasha loved beige and Big hated it?
The look Natasha's friend gave Cartie at the top was perfect! 😂
She was looking like “oh, so you’re the bitch that fucked my friend’s husband” 🤣
those two should have a spin off series
This video is a masterclass on grace and self-worth! Absolutely notewothy!
100%
I once met a guy like Big. I pray to God that I never find someone like that ever again… re watching SATC, i realized how toxic Big and Carrie’s relationship was
Her read in that restaurant was iconic. She took responsibility for not wanting to acknowledge Big's sketchiness while letting Carrie know she had no time for either of them any more and wouldn't make the same mistake again.
I LOVED Natasha in “And just like that”. She has aged so beautifully and I love the “No. I don’t have a minute”.
Back then, even fans bashed the actress because the show painted Natasha as the one who “took big away.”
In retrospect, people have finally seen how toxic Carrie was and Natasha was the true victim.
Natasha was wise enough to learn that early and dropped him
Carrie was seriously the worse friend and character. And the way that the “friend” group was awful to Samantha.
Shout out to all the Natashas out there ❤🎉❤
Natasha was class and maturity all the way.
“some side chick decency” 😭😭😭
2000s shows had many like issues I guess you can say but you can’t deny she played her role really well.
