  • Welcome back to the HOT ROD Frontier Sawmill! We doubled the HP on our Frontier OS23 Portable Sawmill. The project took more time to build! Parts and the engine were hard to get. I bought the last 13.5HP engine in one hundred miles of our home. I was so happy the engine was in stock at Northern Tools

Most people poke fun at me, and that is OK. A few people go overboard calling me dumb hick, and stupid. I deleted those comments. They are not part of our community. They are passing by, looking to feel superior for a few seconds. I feel sorry for those people. A very few posts are downright mean. I just block them.

Great Job! I have had a lot of the Chinese engines of that design on generators. All were great. One thing I noticed is I would always run the engine 1 hour and dump the oil. In all of them I had milling glitter of metal come out of the first oil change. I always wanted to clean that out of the engine as quick as I could.

Tony, You should have slapped a Kukje A1100N2 on there. Yes, on these Chinese engines, run them for a few sessions of 1h each and change oil. Usually on 3rd it comes out with no silver glitter in em, and it will last forever. I just got a Duramax XP12000EH generator with the same engine you didn't get. And that is how I broke it in.
