I worked at a full time job until my 9th month and renovated an entire home (mostly by myself) during my pregnancy as well. I gained 17 lbs with my pregnancy and the baby was 9 lbs of that. I was not quite 5 feet and weight 95 lbs prior to getting pregnant. The baby came out perfect and scored high on all tests. Although some pregnancy can be difficult, it doesn’t mean pregnancy is a handicap. You can do almost anything. Great to see you doing all of this while pregnant.

For sure. From a medical standpoint pregnancy should not limit many activiites. You should however be a little careful with exposure to chemicals. Primers and sanding dust can be toxic. A mask would be best.

I ❤ your videos!! I watch them again and again. I remember while pregnant w my 2nd child. I bowled 4 different leagues finishing one Sat evening, summer league with my best score of 289! P.S. also worked full time (graveyard shift) at hospital then moved on Sunday (Labor Day weekend). Daughter was born Monday morning on (Labor Day) w very short labor of 40 minutes... no anesthesia. Felt great!! I applaud your many renovations! Especially "kitchen", first video of yours I viewed. Blew me away! The bathroom that you redid w new window w outside siding, Wowza! Congrats to job well done! The children's tree house left me speechless. 🎉 🎉🎉

When installing any lumber exterior. All six sides of the board should be painted or at least primed other than that looks great

Great work and it came out looking amazing. If I may, I couldnt help notice how you used to top 2 rungs of your ladder while painting. My hands got sweaty as I have seen one too many friends fall due to this (I think it made my anxiety worse knowing you were pregnant). Anyone reading, please use extra caution when using ladders. Taking literally 30 seconds to reposition the ladder for more stability is a small price to pay when it comes to ensuring your safety.

Did you profile the porch before painting it? Putting a sand on it is key for adherence. Do a tight prime coat and sand lightly again and get some quality epoxy or paint and roll another coat and sand again and do a top coat of a urethane, tight coats you can use a urethane with 240 Aluminum oxide as a slip resistance or like a #10 glass bead. If you go the epoxy route you can broad cast a quartz blend into the body coat then do a 10mil grout coat over the quartz after it's swept and vacuumed. Then another 12 mill body coat, depending on the texture you want for slip resistance. Then a top coat of a high strength UV stable urethane topcoat without slip. So much you can do with epoxy

A better way for paint to adhere to surface is physical bonding. Sanding it to give the surface a rough profile for paint or primer to adhere.

Hi Melisa, I hope I have not just butcher your name but I was going from memory and at my age (70), my memory isn’t the best. I think you are fantastic doing what you do while being pregnant, being a man I don’t have direct knowledge, but I do remember my wife digging her nails into my hand when she was delivering our children and although I would not presume that it was any way close to the pain my wife went though I still remember it.
Do the blinds stop if someone’s foot is in the way like garage doors, as you did not mention it in the video? Thanks again for producing videos of such high standards, even now and I wish you and your husband all the best for the upcoming baby.

Heavy wind tore one of the 5 shade out of the tracks and I haven't figured out yet how to get the fabric back into the side tracks. There seem to be no fasteners to the side rails that I can see. Love watching this video. However at the 2:06 mark when you bust out the oscillating tool, I cringed a little and think back to my wood shop class in middle school. Where my teacher used to tell us, "after you master the hand tools, I'll let you use the power tools" Here is the perfect example of over complicating something that is far easier with a basic wood chisel and hammer. I worry sometimes about humans in this age losing basic skills, when we all seem to do is, immediately go for the power tools, even when, in this case, hand tools would not have been as difficult and annoying as your oscillating tool made it.
