Yo, this is one of my biggest pet peeves. It drives me crazy how this shoe could sit but if it were a high in the exact same colorway it would sell out instantly and go for ridic prices resell. Heck, even if the materials were as bad they'd still do numbers.
Funny thing about Mids is the fact that Jordan essentially wore them to play in. The cut of his Chicago 1’s was closer to the mids compared to the shoes that were available to the masses.
But it’s not the same mids being sold today,if you actually look at the 1s he played in, it looks far close to the highs than the mids being sold today
I was just looking at Jordan 1 mids and lows , and you made a good point about how as a culture we’d like the highs over the mids even tho there’s only like 2-3 subtle differences between them. And I think it’s just cause as sneaker collectors we pay attention to detail.. I feel like a lot of mids/lows would be so much better if they just had Nike branding on the tongue

For me at least, I’m not a very large person. I’m 5’10” and slim muscle so I feel like highs just look too bulky on me. Mids sit better on me as a result so I prefer them

I enjoy mids just because I skate Jordan's. I don't feel it's worth it to spend alot on highs simply because I'm gonna shred them and the mid silhouette is really nice because its right in the middle.

For me with Mids it’s the cut. I don’t like the way the cut looks on my feet, especially with the tongue still being pretty high. I like lows though!
