- Ive been looking for a while to get some risers on my bike and after seeing @LifeOfBurch video on his I just knew I had to do the same on mine. So immediently after watching his video I ordered all the parts and finally was able to put them on and it's easily the best most i've done on my bike. I did run into issues as you do with every project but I was able to get them fixed with the help of Burch and @SLIGHT_ . Also a huge shoutout to my uncle Caleb for helping me with this. You're awesome!! I cant wait to really mod my bike out for this year. If you have any suggestions on a new windscreen/fairing for my bike let me know. Catch you guys in the next ride!

I did the same thing on mine (slightly shorter risers than yours though), and it totally makes the seating angle/position better! I am sure you already checked and dealt with this, but as a note for anyone else thinking about doing it; Double check your front brake line. Mine became too short at full steering turn angles because I tried to use the stock routing. This wasn't noticeable at a first glance, only when you really turn those bars all the way. I had to unbolt the front brake reservoir and move the whole thing in and around stuff to route the line differently around the fork/brace. Doing it this way though fixed my length issues and since I moved the whole res. in order to re-route the lines, I didnt have to bleed the brake lines or anything like that.
I have a brake line and a clutch line extension on mine but I didn't say anything about it cause I didn't want to say everything Burch already did in his video. Thanks for clarifying.
Puig windshield bat. That would be my pick for the next windscreen you should get. I’m strongly considering this since i can’t find any good picture let alone video of a cruiser with an adventure style windscreen. Also it’s slightly higher than the current windscreen you have so it’d be nice to see how the extra height impacts wind buffeting.
I will look in to that one. Thanks for the comment!
Hell yea dude! Glad it all worked out and you’re loving it!! 😎🤘🏻
Dude yeah it’s great. Thanks for your help again!!!
@@therideofalifetime I have the risers and all the parts as well but the fucking bolt that keeps the gauge cluster in place has stripped bad so havent been able to install it yet. Plus I am thinking abt getting another bike anyways. I have the dct 1100 and I miss the clutch. I sometimes get engine breaking mid turn and it can be a bit scary, i feel like with a clutch I have never had that. So probablly will get another 1100 without the dct and see how that goes.
@@gsin311 I’m sorry to hear that. Yeah that bolt can be a pain. You can also manually switch the gears too if you feel you have too much engine breaking or make a user setting with the lowest amount of engine braking. Hope that helps
@@therideofalifetime I already have my user mode set to lowest engine breaking and manual gear switching doesnt really do much tbh. The main issue is the clutch, feathering the clutch is such an integral part of motorcycling that I just miss that. I am gonna test ride the rebel 1100 2024 next week or so and see if thats any better. If not I am moving to a harley or an Indian, at least the after market parts are crazy for those bikes. I like the rebel, I like how its not a typical cruiser but better quality of life improvements needs to made for this bike tbh
@@gsin311 I totally get that! well whatever you end up deciding I hope you stay safe and keep 2 wheels on the ground!
I saw a post on another channel about setting the clutch and brake levers at level, this is something I never thought about but it makes sense. So if you are having trouble reaching for the bars, loosen the lever mounts and tilt them level, doesn't sound much but if you are pushing your fingers over the levers you are setting your shoulders like a gorilla, level the levers and you are no longer stretching to find them.
Yeah I have done that on my clutch but not on the brake but yeah it does make a difference.
Squirrel!!!....🥴 but that was a nice house 😂
Hey now lol it was a nice house hahah
Thanks for taking us for the ride in these videos ✌️
If I could I would have breakfast for dinner.
Right it’s literally the best lol
@@therideofalifetime new sub btw, I really like what you've done with your Rebel. I'm buying one soon as well. Hope to see more of this content.
@@thetrustysidekick3013 thanks for the sub my friend I have a couple more installs coming soon and the Burch meetup so lots of videos coming.
So, what brand of risers you have installedi?
Inches?
Where did you bought them?
They are Harley rox risers and I bought them straight from their website.
Looks great. Glad you like it!👍
I love it. Thanks again for your help!!
Breakfast… break fast… therefore… first meal of the day = breakfast… 😂
Looks great dude!
Yeah yeah lol it was pretty good!!! Thanks for tuning in!!
Did you dump the Honda plastic wiring box on the left side of the steering head? I couldn't get mine to work so just wrapped the wires in insulation tape.
Yes I dumbed it and wrapped everything in electrical tape and it worked out well. I think I’m gonna put something else there as well and it should be fine.
Not necessarily a practical mod to the motorcycle. But maybe flashing the ecu and giving Us a review on it.
@@savedby007-d9z I got it working just fine I had a wire backwards
Where did you get that windshield from
Gustafsson Plastics
@@therideofalifetime thanks
What was the torque spec for the riser adapter bolts? How did you tighten the bolts onto the risers before installing on the bike?
So with the adapter bolts you can only put the bolts so far down. The I used the red lock tite on the risers. The bolts that hold the handlebars in place are at a torque of 19 pounds is what I did it to. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
@@therideofalifetime I appreciate it! Thank you for the support. I'm thinking of doing a 4" rise since the 6" risers are sold out now.
@@therideofalifetime what was your experience with the brake line extension? Did you bleed the whole system?
@@carloscuadras6242 no I didn’t have to because the extension is above the brake line. If I did it below then yes. Because everything below is a sealed line. So once I put the brake line extension on all I had to do was play with the brake lever until all the bubbles were gone then it was smooth sailing from there
@@carloscuadras6242 yeah but you can also use any Harley one because it uses the same threads. 😊
First! Yeah buddy! 🎉🎉🎉😅
Let’s go!!!
Woooo great to see you here my friend!!
How tall are you please ?
@@TheXone7 I’m 5’ 11”
@@therideofalifetime Thanks!
