Nobody talking about the drummer? Not an incredibly hard song to play. But it's hard to keep the slow tempo going perfectly like that. His fills were on point and very tasteful. It's not overplayed at all. Very impressive.
He was excellent and its such a nice drum rift throughout. Simple is sometimes better.
Ryan D matt never gets credit hes due. And as much as i hate to say it pj wastes him. As they do mccready. Thankfully at least mike gets to unleash live
You prolly a drummer...or a bass player...;)
The drummers on these videos are ALWAYS the most talented. I mean, the time is really in their hands after all. Watch the Schism Tool cover. The best cover the School has released to date. They should've had the kids that sang that song, sing this one. They're incredible.
@@gorehammer42o I was coming here to say exactly that - they must train their drummers really well, all the vids from SoR I have seen feature a drummer who's right in the pocket, delivers flawlessly. Mad props to them!
That dudes voice is perfect, holy shit.
Great job by everyone, but the guy doing background vocals absolutely killed it!
Absolutely agree, he totally lifted this performance even higher. Not to mention that supporting a beard at his age is impressive too.
It’s so impressive that she can hit and sustain all those low notes.
Not often does the harmony vocal make such an overwhelming impact on a song. That dude's got some pipes!
That dude nailed his vocals. Both vocalists, as well as the rest of the band, did a great job!
Probably the best vocals I've heard from School of Rock. These two should go places.
This was absolutely amazing. Background vocalist killed it!
Man dude singing second vocals, I want to hear him on lead on something.
Yeah. The girl sounds good but this is not really in her range. To low! buddy should have led vocals on this one. Chris Cornell would have been pround
yeah that dude killed it
Was about to click out of this until I read your comment - spot on.
I agree! Like Iron Maiden!🤘🏼
@@glennryzebol4472 I disagree. She did a great take on this as a female lead, and she showed real passion and soul. I liked her performance here a LOT. (But yes, I was skeptical until she started singing.)
holy cow I want to hear that guy sing it all ...I like her voice too
fucking right?!
Her voice is ass
@@dschrads13 No it isn't...she just needs better training. Considering there's no auto-tune.
JoseitoEdlVodao so she needs professional training to get better? aka her voice is ASS
Her problem is that she is singing the low male part which is too low for a female voice. I don’t know why the guy wasn’t singing that part? There are certain low frequencies in the male range that most female just can’t hit, so she actually did well to hit those notes at all, but like most women, she had no power or strength at that low of a register. She struggled to hold the sustained notes steady. Her modulation was all over the place, but that is to be expected at that low of a frequency.
Chris is well known for his high range, but most people don’t realize how low his range also went, which proves just how wide his range was. This particular song showed how well developed his lower register was. She should have either pitched this up an octave or not sang it at all. That guy was easily hitting the higher notes in the song, so he could have easily handled the lower stuff. The vocalist selection is a weird one for sure. I think if she would ah e pitched it up an octave it would have completely ruined the mood of the song. I guess it is what it is?
a tear ran down my cheek when I heard the male vocalist sing. his voice is identical to a certain musician that passed away.
A female vocalist pulling of these lead vocals like this is un-be-lie-va-ble! Super impressed.
Thought her vocals were bang on. She nailed it. Very impressed.. With all of them.
She hit the notes well enough.
I wouldn’t say she nailed it though. This is a song that is meant to be sung by a baritone, and female vocal chords simply do not emulate the proper tonality for the parts of this song that are on the deeper end of the vocal register. It just doesn’t work. And it’s no fault of her own. It’s a simple mismatch. This is not the right song for her to sing, and I would be willing to bet for any woman to sing, not without it not sounding right.
Lead guitarist's accuracy was boss, as well as his guitar faces, he was totally into it.
Her vocals were awesome tribute to the original. Rock on and forever.
That kid NAILED that guitar solo! All of them were great, but that solo! Well done!
I have literally listened to this song thousands of times since it first came out....and I know that guitar solo very well when I hear it. No one has ever nailed it in a cover like this kid did!!! The timing of all the wah pedal sounds and messy tremolo picking was like it was right off the Superunknown album
This cover is absolutly greater it surpasses any other covers or the original! I really feel the harmonies! Every bit of this song is perfect only because of this performance from these guys! The sound techs, the musicians, the vocales! It's a WOW!!!
jay would be proud of that solo not bad at all for a kid. cant wait to see him once he gets even better..
The lead singer turned herself inside out for that performance. Amazing. SOR never disappoints.
Wow lead singer has a great voice. Love the vibrato she is able to sustain. Amazing cover!
I love the fact they aren’t scared to take on iconic songs with legendary vocals
wow... backup vocal dude got one hell of a voice!
It’s not just about the music, it’s about the performance. Nailed! 🎉🎉🎉
I love these "School of Rock" remakes. The band is awesome but the lead singer takes it to the next level. She really made me sit back and pause. Gave the song new meaning.
the backing vocals "Blackhole Sun" --on point! Wow.
"Won't chew gum. Won't chew gum".
If chris was alive he would be dead again by listening her voice.
"black whole sign"
I can't unhear that now.... Aghhhhhh
@@nitrorezz55 bit far dude. This is a cover, so of course the pronunciations will also be different from the original.
I’m glad I scrolled down far enough to find this comment.
Girl is Solid on bass. Smooth.
What’s her name? She’s excellent and totally in the groove!
Cute too!
She's better than cute. She's actually beautiful.
@@papilot312 Her name is Kamryn and also bass player in other songs/clips
@@vellyhay78 oke, I was confused and you've right ;). Sorry for my mistaken :(. You're great :)
All of these musicians are very talented, but the kid playing lead, damn. That solo was fantastic!
Despite the few critics on the young lady's vocals, I think this is a really good cover. I love the contrast in the vocals, and think it works really well.
The tempo on the album version is tricky and I feel the nailed it. The opening guitar riff was on the money, loved the young lady playing bass. Well done guys, I loved it. And I am sure all soundgarden/Cornell fans see this for what it is, a group of young people picking up the mantle of grunge and paying tribute to possible the best rock vocalist in the last 40 years. Keep up the good work. 👍👍👍🎸🤘🤘🤘
Bass player hands down favorite, the entire band was just enjoyable to watch with their individual styles and expressions.
I really love this girls voice. I have been playing in bands for 30 years and I really love her. She is amazing.
This group of musicians do this song proud. Vocals, guitars and percussion are exceptional. SOR gives me hope for the future of music and keeping the classics alive.
great cover ! her voice is amazing great bass line too
This is simply an incredible performance. The skill of the musicians and the beautiful vocals are amazing. Bowing down to their greatness.
I second that!
love her voice!!! everyone is outstanding!!!!
I absolutely LOVE Soundgarden, Black Hole Sun is my favorite of their songs and this cover is just... magnifico👌
My jaw is on my chest. Musical and vocal talent all around.
They're ALL so talented, but when tht young man jumps in on the chorus I was like..... "Whooooooa."
Senior Citizen here. YOUNG PROPLE TODAY!!!!!!!!!! Sooooooo talented and passionate!
That guitarist doing a really nice Kim Thayil impression on that solo! Wow! Superb!
This has to be one of my favorites of this collection. Everyone is very good. The back up singer really helped. Thumbs up to all.
From vocal I have gosebump. Perfect.
I agree that the guy doing the background vocals nailed it really well, and the whole band did an excellent job, but I have to say that the young lady doing the vocals here? I was really impressed with her. I hope she goes a long way with whatever she tries to do, she has an impressive voice.
Amazing killer versions, respecting the original spirit of the songs You all perform but adding a personal touch, congratulations to all the performing kids and faculty at school of rock, amazing job, keep the good work 🤘🤘🤘
When that guy sang reminded me so much of Chris Cornell, which brought tears to my eyes.
Kid gives the high notes justice. Well done. Loving these vids. Hopefully these kids remind the world what rock music should be
That man´s voice is really good. The girl´s voice is awesome as well, very steady, not an easy task. In fact they´re all good. Bass in particular was spot on.
Wow. A beautiful unique haunting voice!
Very well done guys.
Love hearing the school of rock school 'kids' covering the sounds of my youth.
Love to hear the second vocals sing his version of this song
Absolutely fantastic..... Her and his voice.... The drumming.... Wow.
RIP Chris. This was one of my favourite song during my teenager back in the 90's. Great cover guys
Great team. Flawless. Love the beautiful unique voices.
What a powerful voice!
Chris Cornell would be proud! 👍🏼
Fuck yeah!
Pretty damn impressive! Especially the male singer, even for as little as he sang. Really great vocals...
Love the group. Good musicians. Perfect timing. Great vocals from both singers.
Loved it ! Great Job by all ! Both vocalists were great ! The girl singing had me watching over and over , she will be a star
Enough critics - would be proud to add this rendition to my collection - you all nailed it❗️
WOW! What a brilliant cover of an amazing song. Thank you all for being bold enough to share your talents with the world via this video!
I’m obviously super impressed with everything this channel has produced and I wish I could have the opportunity to have this training when I started playing music. But I’m even more impressed with the mixing quality in these videos. So professional.
Wow, wow, wow!!! Such musicianship and the vocals are full of heart :)
Male vocals gave me the chills.
Soundgarden songs are tough songs. Nailed it. Perfect. Sounds amazingly perfect.
The guitarist we’re rocking perfectly. Rock on.
She has a an amazing unique voice.

The face you make when the drummer finally gets the fill clean. haha
I think the bassist also was singing cause of the red top.
12/10
That’s not an easy song to sing and it was awesome
The chap doing backing vocals did exactly what I hoped he would. The rest were awesome too, thanks
The lead singer has a powerful but melodic voice. She will do good in her music career!
